We just got back from the Boardwalk(actually Friday night but DS was home from school for the weekend)and it was awesome. We checked in on Sunday the 25th. We booked a standard room and got room #3226 which was directly above the Honeymoon cottages. We had a view of the quiet pool, some beautiful rose gardens, the Eiffel Tower in the World Showcase and we could see Illuminations right from our balcony!! :cloud9:

It was a beautiful room that was also spotless. Although we never got a towel animal, the Mousekeeping did fold our towels in very pretty designs each day. One day there was a bow on the back of the toilet tank that my Dbro and I found hilarious. Great week, low crowds and just an all around spectacular trip. We had the dining plan too and it also worked out flawlessly. Any questions? Just ask away. :goodvibes

Glad you had a great trip. Heading to the BWV in a month. Do you know if the pipe replacement work is complete? It was suppose to be done by "end of summer". Did you eat at any of the restaurants at the BW? How was the transportation (bus to MK or AK?).

I wasn't allowing myself to get excited until the 30 day mark, so now I can :cheer2: . Thanks for the info!

I don't think the pipe work is complete. We never noticed it but did hear a Mom telling her DH that she couldn't get the baby to sleep b/c of the renovation noise. I think it is only a problem if you want to nap in the middle of the day.

We did eat at the Big River Brewing Grille for appetizers just after our plane landed. We had a quesadilla that was out of this world and a hummus platter with chips that was really good too. I loved the beer here and I'm not really a beer lover. It was so fresh and delicious. We also ate at the Beach Club for the dinner clambake which was good but the desserts here better. And Yachtsman steakhouse was outrageous. We got a server that I think had been serving herself from the bar all night. It was kind of hilarious. The people behind us were on a tight schedule though and didn't find her as funny as we did. We didn't make it to Beaches and Cream this time. Too bad because I love their food. Oh yeah, I ate once at the Boardwalk bakery. My brother got a sweet pretzel twist that he loved and I had a peanut butter bar that was so huge I didn't manage to finish it all week. It was incredibly good. You'll have a great time here. It is one of my favorite resorts at WDW.

I love that peanut butter bar! I think it took me about 3 days to finish it, but it was so good. :goodvibes
