I won't go into great details here, don't want to bore you all, but if anyone has any questions for me, I'd be happy to try to answer them. Let me just say we had a GREAT time!

Welcome back jxh1 Happy to see you had a wonderful trip! What did ya think of Hard Rock? How long was your trip? Were you there for Rock the Universe? Did Universal stay open late those evenings? We left that day (friday) and I was curious if the park stayed open later. Thanks Did you get an upgrade?

Thanks for the welcome back! Let me see if I can answer your questions.

1) We found the Hard Rock to be WONDERFUL, probably the nicest, classiest hotel I have ever stayed in.

2) We went on a cruise to the Bahamas first, then spent 3 nights at the HRH and Universal and IOA.

3) There was a Christian Rock concert going on Sept. 7 & 8 I believe, but we did not attend it.

4) IOA closed at 6 or 7 those nights, but Universal Studios was open until 10 p.m. Friday night, but closed at 6 p.m on Saturday.

5) I paid the $117.50 Entertainment Rate, got upgraded to a wonderful poolview room, and was given our milk and cookies (which my wife loved). The Hotel didn't seem to be too busy at all.

We also used FOTL for every attraction we went on, although there really weren't any lines for anything, but it is a great perk to have. Let me know if you'd like anymore info.

How did you get upgraded??? I'll be at HRH on Sept 23. Thanx

I made my reservations with my Discover Card, and with that I was able to get an upgrade from a gardenview room to a poolview room (I found this info on the Discover Card website). Some people seem to get the upgrade and some do not, I asked and was given it, along with my Loew's perk, even though I got the room for the $117.50 Entertainment rate. Good luck to you!
