Hi all - we just got back last night from a quickie weekend to BCV - our first stay since buying in. We made these ressies only 3 months out because DH wanted to go to Star Wars Weekends for his birthday.
We arrived about 12:30pm on Friday - got a Welcoem Home from the gate guard - seriously it made my day. I spoke with Jeannine at the front desk about getting a room. We reserved a studio. I requested a pool view and non smoking. She had a pool view available for me, but it wasn't clean and she didn't know when it would be. First off, I was happy that a pool view was available for me. But we wanted in a room so we could nap, We had been up since 3:45am. She looked at all the available studios for me and showed me on the map where they were. She stated if I wanted to just take the kids swimming we could check back for the pool view, she just wanted me to be happy. She was a pleasure to work with. I ended up taking Room 169. Ground level, garden view. We got in the room, and DH was impressed. My kids were like, "Where's our bed?" The studio had a queen and fold out sofa. I explained and they were thrilled - cool a secret bed
Our view did over look a canal and a road but with LOTS of foliage. No real noise from the road. Didn't wake us, didn't bother us. We could see some of Illuminations from our patio over the trees and definitely hear the music. It was kinda cool, even if we couldn't see all of it.
Water pressure was fine, water temp was HOT. We had no problems with that.
A/C was set to 66 when we got in. That's way colder than I set ours at home in the summer. We were glad it was there when we came in though from the parks as it was HOT. We were plenty cool at night - no silly sensor problems at all.
All in all, a great start to a DVC experience.
Next stop is in November for DD's birthday in a 1 BR. Can't wait!
