Just got home today from 8 wonderful days in the world (9/30 - 10/8)
We stayed 3 nights at AKL and 5 nights at POFQ with free dining. The weather was great - sunny not to humid and lovely breeze at night - except for last night 10/7.
AKL was nice, we had a pool view room with a lovely view. As usual Jiko was amazing and the Mara was nice too. I didnt care for the extremely long hallways to get to your room and the overall darkness of the lobby and guest rooms. My daughter and i loved watching the animals. Buses at AKL were pretty good, two occasions we waited over 30 minutes for a bus to downtown Disney but other than that all was good.
Staff at POFQ were amazing and very nice. Clean resort, great refurbished rooms and wonderful pool area. Bus service was pretty good, we only stood going to the parks once. The boat to downtown Disney was annoying because it filled up so fast that we always had to wait for more boats to arrive but the ride is nice.
We went to MNSSHP on 10/2 and had a wonderful time! We brought home so much candy. Parade and headless horseman were fantastic and fireworks too. The lines at the party were no longer than 10 minutes of the rides we rode, especially after the late parade the park emptied out and there were no lines.
Overall the parks seemed very crowded for this time of year, but we didn't see a big jump in wait times till about Thursday. Otherwise most lines were under 20 minutes. Great trip!!!!
