DS 12 and I just returned - spent 5 nights at AKL, then 2 nights at HRH, then a last minute 1 night added on at the Yacht Club!
This was my 3rd stay at HRH. Observations:
- I am a Loews First member and made my ressie thru their 1-800 line, and used the Entertainment Card discount for a pool view room. I asked at check in about possibility of an upgrade to club (I would have been willing to pay for an upgrade, within reason), and the front desk guy was rather rude and flip and told me I couldn't upgrade because I had an Ent. discount. Maybe that was true, but he had an attitude, definitely!
-We had a nice room, 6th floor, just off the elevators. Room was clean with such comfy beds and nice toiletries, etc. Great view of the parks and pool, and fireworks over IOA at night.
-We ate breakfast and lunch in the parks, and got dinner to go from Sunset Grill 2 nights. The last night we took the shuttle to RPH and ate at Tchoup Chop (our one big dining splurge!). RPH is beautiful, and I think I would rather stay there on my next trip - gorgeous lobby and pool, and quiet (I like the HRH, but the loud music in the common areas and pool gets to me after awhile
 ). Tchoup Chop was beautiful and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had the clay pot with sea bass and it was excellent. DS had the short ribs with rice and beans - huge serving! I tasted it and thought the ribs were fatty,. but DS liked it. We got entrees only, and DS had a soda - bill was around $47. A beautiful restaurant!
-Parks were mobbed, and we were so happy to have FOTL. It's the only way to go if you can get an affordable rate on site.

Great report. What was your room number? I am also going to try to get upgraded to club level, but if not I would like a room near the elevators and nice view. We have two rooms so I don't know how easy it will be to get an upgrade.

Room 6086, just 2 doors down from the elevators - 2 queen beds, non-smoking.
Definitely try to get an upper floor for the great view!

Did you hear much noise from guests waiting for the elevators, we are traveling with my mother and I think the less walking the better for her. thank you for you info.

No, we were never bothered by noise from outside the room. Getting off the elevators, you had to turn a sharp corner to go down our hallway, and that probably helped cut out the noise. Hope you have a great time at HRH!

Ahhhh, we had 4141 last week. About 2000 Rooms from the elevator. But what the heck, we did not mind.

We arrived at the 23rd, but they had my reservation for the 22nd. Cool guy at the checkin: "Relax, we will fix that, no problem".

We loved the HRH

We were in 4133/4135 and we thought it was a really long walk from the elevator (didn't mind, love that place) until we went over the the BWV and had even a longer walk. I don't understand what they were thinking when they designed all these resorts with rooms on the other side of the galaxy. The best part being at the end is it is quiet. I have seen numerous kids running and families talking loud walking down the long hallways. I even had to remind my children to not run and be quiet!
