Just got back from the most amazing holiday of my life! Hadn't been to Disney for 8 years and everything just felt so new and magical.

The crowds are not that bad - anyone who has spent a bit of time at DISboards should have no problems.

I will be posting trip reports over the next few days (as a way to ween myself from Disney :D )

If anyone has any questions - ask away!

Glad you had such a magical time. Eight years is a long time to be away from WDW. How many days were you there? How was the weather and crowds? Looking forward to reading your trip reports. Take care. :)

Ignore my question on the crowds - I have short term memory. LOL ;)

I was there for two brilliant weeks and the weather was very hot all day every day - starting in the early 70s and going up to the early 90s. As you'd expect, plenty of sunshine and the occasional storm, but never too much rain as to spoil the fun; in fact the storms cleared the air and made the heat more bearable!

When I say the crowds were 'not too bad' I really mean surprisingly light. On my final Saturday night at MK there was a 50 min wait for the Space Mountain, but Buzz was 20 mins and Haunted Mansion 5! On 2nd July at Epcot the crowds were generally very light, even thought T Track did (as ever) have long lines.

Maybe people aren't heading back to Disney in the droves we thought they would this year!

Glad you had a great time! My first trip in 8 years is coming up. As you said, it's FAR too long!

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time. I'll be reading your trip report when it gets posted.

I didn't think the crowds were bad at all! We used Fastpasses and never waited long for any rides.

Hi,

I'm so happy to hear about the crowds and wait times - not bad at all. We leave in two weeks...

I have a question about the rain -- when it rained, did it usually rain around the same time everyday? Just wondering if there is any way to plan the storms into the schedule.

Thanks,

Safe to say, unless you are very unlucky you will get sun and blue skies from park opening until early-mid afternoon.

The rains usually came in the afternoon and cleared in the evening. Of course weather is unpredictable by its nature - one evening it didn't clear in the MK until about 8pm.

However, if you want to schedule around the storms arrive at the park before opening, stay until around 11.30-1.00 (depending on how well you handle the heat) and then return around 5-5.30.

Overall, however, don't worry about the storms. On our final night at MK it didn't storm in the afternoon and it was unbearably hot and humid even at 6 in the evening! You'll come to love them.

debkorb1 - Thanks for all the positive feedback!!! We leave in 6 days!!! Hope the luck holds out for us!! Glad you had a great time and are back home safe!!:wave2:
