Just returned from our honeymoon 10/1-10/7 at CR and BC. We only stayed one night at CR in the tower and got our wish for a MK view with a King bed. We were on the 9th floor...the Bay lake side of that floor was being refurbished. The room was MASSIVE! We had an awesome view of the castle and Wishes. I wished they could pump the music directly into the rooms somehow...but it was beautiful. Be careful on those balconies since water does pool there after a rain and it is slippery! I would totally stay there again, even though it wasn't my favorite themed resort.

The next night we switched to BC where we had booked a standard room. I found out a few days before our trip that a CM had upgraded us to a water view room...so imagine our surprise when the check-in CM upgraded us to 5th floor concierge water-view! We were spoiled beyond belief! Never stayed concierge at Disney before but it was soooooo nice. We didn't buy mugs since they offered free soda and stuff. We grabbed a bagel for breakfast each morning which was terrific. The room had two queens I think and we had a gorgeous view of the main courtyard, the lake, BWI and Swan and Dolphin. This has been my favorite resort hands down! SAB was unbeleivable though we didn;t discover the 8-9foot deep section until our second day. I kept saying "I thought people said this was deep?" Boy did I feel silly.

Concierge was wonderful! On day 3 they gave us a wheelchair since I hurt my ankle badly and couldn't walk. Both resorts were tremendous and I can't say a darn thing negative about them. Any questions ask away!

PS...I only saw one girl at concierge in the am in her pj's...everybody else was always dressed.

Congratulations on your marriage and the upgrades at Disney--how magical!! BTW, I'm a Davie County native but live in High Point now. :flower:

Where were you guys on the 1st and 2nd? We were there too and I saw a bride/groom with the bride being pushed around in a wheelchair... maybe it was you guys?

Congrats on getting married! I'm glad you had a great trip!

Do you think paying for a water view would be worth it if you hadn't gotten the upgrade?

Congrats on your marriage! We looooove the BC and want to stay at CR when we bring Lima Bean (the baby we're expecting) the first time. What a great honeymoon!

Concierge is the only way to go!!! We upgraded for the first time in 1999 and have always upgraded every year since. Different resorts have different amenities when it comes to concierge services - the Poly is the best as far as we're concerned! But we'll find out next June (3-10) when we're at the Contemporary!

How wonderful!!!! I am so glad that your honeymoon was made even more magical by the CM's. Congrats and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness.

For us, it generally isn't worth the higher cost to get a water view room since we are on-the-go from sun up to the wee hours of the night. Concierge was lovely but we only got to sample the early morning selections as we usually didn't return to the resort until late at night. Dh said they had fresh mozarella and tomato one night and on another they had a delicious stew and clam chowder. Always had yummy fresh baked chocolate chip cookies available as well as popcorn, goldfish crackers (or "snacky fish" as we jokingly referred to them) soda, lemonade, mint tea, assorted cocktails and such.

The staff was attentive and pleasant. THe only time I really needed their help was when I lost a pin (the magical express bus pin that you get for free with your ME voucher). I asked the staff if they could replace it and they left me a message in my room later that night saying the giftshop wouldn't give me another one. Oh well!

I ended up in a wheelchair on day 3 in MGM...this would've been Monday. My ankle is still killing me! I have no idea how I twisted it.
