Just back from a 6 night stay at the Contemporary Resort Tower. It was DH, myself, DS(7), DD(2) and D-Grandma.

We arrived at the resort around 11:30am, our room was not ready, so we got something to eat at the Food and Fun Center, and walked around. At 1:30pm, we went back, our room was ready. All our requests were granted, we were placed in 4746, 11th floor, MK view, non-smoking. 3rd from the end closest to the MK.

The room was clean and in good shape, just a little mold in the bathroom , no big deal. The View was to die for. DS was in heaven. Everyone was right though. The traffic on the street below did get a little noisy at times during the night. And they tested the MK train whistle every morning at 6-7am. No noise from Chef Mickeys,,since we were on the other side. The renovations are still on the 9th floor, no noise from that either. The only noise was from a family who checked in our last night there. Baby screaming twice during the night, and it took forever for them to quiet him. It sounded like they were in our room.

It was my DD's birthday while we were there. And even though I confirmed when they would deliver the balloons, it wasn't done then. Not even on her birthday. Not a big deal, since she's only 2, but may be for an older child.

My only complaint is the pool. They really need to redo it. DS was bored in 15 minutes. All in all we really liked this place. The view and convenience are second to none. I was really nervous about staying here, but the whole experience was great. You really feel like its a magical vacation, when you can look out over your balcony and see Space Mountain and the Castle just feet away from you. Any questions, ask away.

Welcome back. Thanks for the review. The CR is on my list to try, once all the room have been re-done.

It sounds like you had fun! Now I can't wait to go.

If you don't mind me asking, what specifically did you request? and was it on the ressie or when you checked in? I reserved MK View for 2006 and I have not made any requests yet except N/S so I am curious to see if I should request a high floor etc... or if it really matters at CR.
Thanks!

I requested, MK view, upper floor, non-smoking, and also noted it was my DD's 2nd birthday. I noted it on the original ressie through CRO and I also faxed, then asked again at check-in. Whichever one, it seemed to work. Have fun!

Welcome back! I am glad you got that great MK view!! I love falling asleep looking out at the MK.

Sorry about the bday balloon letdown. You're right, it is good that she was only 2, but still a bummer when they drop the ball like that. We stayed on the 14th floor last Thanksgiving, and my husband spent over $80 for choc tux strawberries and wanted them to be delivered as a surprise..... ..it turned into such a major hassle to get those expensive strawberries delivered to our room the surprise was a major bust and pain in the @@@.

Glad things were mostly good for your family & you had a nice trip.

We stayed in room 4746 in February!! It is a little slice of heaven. I don't recall ever hearing any disturbing sounds, I admit I was up early watching the castle change colors as the sun rose. My second favorite part was the sun sets over GF, I got some wonderful pics of that and teh castle, and WISHES. I highly receommend this room location!!
