We just returned from a long (but not long enough) trip to WDW. We stayed in both BCV and SSR. Both are beautiful resorts. We personally like our home resort, BCV, the best for a variety of reason, but SSR is a wonderful place to stay if we couldn't go "home." There were so many wonderful moments. Wow, how lucky our family is to spend that kind of time in such a beautiful enviroment.

BCV, except for 2 things, everything was great. 1. One washing machine broken for a month. 2. When entering International Gateway in the mornings, since both gates are opened at the same time, the guest entering the front of the park were already in Soarin by the time we "walked very quickly" there. By the time we got to Soarin there would be between a 30 min. to 40 min. wait.

SSR. The CMs at SSR were more friendly in "welcoming home." I think it is because it is mainly at DVC resort while BCV is mainly at hotel resort. SSR is nice since we stayed in the Springs area, but it seemed like it would have been a long way to go swimming if we stayed at the other areas. The place is beautiful but BIG and is getting bigger. The bus trip back from DTD was over a half hour with no wait for a bus. After immediately boarding, we stopped at Pleasure Island, Typhoon Lagoon, then drove around the block past OKW. Then the Springs is the last stop at SSR. We should have taken the boat. But, it was a learning experience. We loved the extra closet in the studios at SSR. My daughters thought the pull out couch was better there also.

A great family vacation!
