Just back. Stayed at POFQ. Crowds were moderate. Weather was crazy, one day we were wearing turtlenecks and sweat shirts, the next day we were swimming and getting sunburned at the pool. Did illuminations cruise and was told by the young man on our boat that there might be three new coasters added to Epcot. I am just repeating what I was told. He also said the new slogan will include Tinkerbell and be something like "where the magic begins".

Was sad to find out about the end of TON parade. A cast member at Epcot said there won't be anything to replace it until "maybe" the fall.
Ate at the Land and was really disappointed. For me it was the worst character meal ever.
Also got in the hot seat. At the $64,000 question, my mind went into a total blank and I just could not think. I even had a life line left and didn't use it. Never been that nervous before! Oh well, there's always next time.
Have to say the middle school cheerleaders were there and very well behaved. Much better then the high school groups I have seen.
Any questions?

You got in the "hot seat?!!!" Do they use regular "life lines?" I'm so excited about this! I'm leaving so soon!!!!

I too just returned 2/4-2/9 and crowds were non-existent for us. And Yes Flame Tree was open.

I did go to AK but do not know if the Flame tree bbq was open, sorry. The life lines they use are 50/50, poll the audience, and phone a complete stranger. The last one, they call to a phone outside of the attraction, and that person helps you. I went so brain dead, that was the life line I had left and forgot to use. It still was fun though.

Oh, now I'm really hoping to get in the hot seat or at least be a person on the other end of the phone!

Thanks!

you gotta tell us-----
what was the 64,000 dollar question???
I am DYING to get in the hot seat-- any tips (besides knowing the answer, of course...)

I am almost too embarassed to answer that...it was so simple. It was "On a _______(can't remember what word they used) keyboard, what word can only be typed with the left hand." The only keyboard I know is a regular typing board. I started typing out the words on my leg and eliminated the first two. Then my mind went to a total blank and I could not remember where the letter t was or the letter u. I had the word requested or trade to pick from. I thought trade was too easy and it was a trick, and I chose requested. Believe me, I laid awake all night with those two words on the computer screen in front of my face. It was so easy but I froze! Good luck if you play!

Oh man, what a bummer.
But you know, just because it's easy doesn't mean it's easy when you are in the hotseat!!! Probably a lot of us (if not all) would freeze up once we were there! So a simple question now is not so simple when you're all nervous and in front of all those people/etc. :(

Glad you made it to the hotseat though! Did you end up winning anything at all?

Sorry, but I don't know where the "hotseat" game is played. Can you help me out?

We are going in 2 weeks. I expect the crowds to be pretty light. What security measures are they taking? Is it true the Hoop De Doo is gone?

Bibbidy, Yes I won a hat, a millionaire polo shirt, and a lanyard with 10 pins-one for every question I answered corectly. Pins say do you want to be a millionaire on them with the dollar amount of the question you answered. It was nerve racking with your face on that big screen and my 9 yr old was behind me so I couldn't see her(she doesn't like to be alone in crowds).

Katalina- the game is played in MGM studios, behind the Great Movie Ride. If you were looking at the Great Movie Ride attraction take a right and go down the stairs and then go left. It will be on your right. I go to WDW a few times a year and yes, I did notice alot of extra uniformed security people walking around. They are still checking bags when you enter the parks also. Sorry, I don't know anything about Hoop De Doo- as far as I know it is still on. Have fun, don't forget a rain poncho.

I really want to try the millionare game out, I think thats going to be a must this trip. I'm glad you had a nice time.

As far as I know the Hoop dee Hoop show is still on - it's the Diamond Horseshoe show at Magic Kingdom that ended on Feb. 1.

Yes -the Horseshoe show is being changed. It will reopen with lots of characters to intereact with the audience. I don't know when it reopens.
