We just got back Friday from 5 nights at the World. We were on the DDP and it worked out great for us. We ate at 'Ohana the first night and had a good meal. I thought the quality of the food was just ok. Now I know a lot of people LOVE 'Ohana, and we enjoyed it quite a bit, but I was expecting a little higher quality food. LOVED the bread pudding with banana foster sauce (I made sure to leave room!).

The second night we did MVMCP, so we ate CS at the resort before we left. We shared a double bacon cheeseburger meal and it was pretty good for fast food.

Tuesday we had lunch at LeCellier. My filet and Yukon gold roasted potatoes was very good. DBF had the prime rib sandwich and was not thrilled with it. It was dry and cold and not very good. But he shared my filet and loved it. We were too stuffed to even think about desert, so we opted out :(

Wednesday we ate dinner at the "new" Italian restaurant in Italy, Tutto Italia. It was quite good. We shared the grande antipasto misto for an appetizer. I had the lasagna which was AMAZING. SO GOOD! DBF had the penne caprese which was simple but good. I had the mixed berries for desert and DBF had the blood orange sorbet which was also amazing. We got out just in time for Illuminations.

Thursday we had the most spectacular dinner at California Grill. It was perfect from beginning to end. The view was spectacular, our table was beautiful, and we got a magical moments photo! I had the Hurricane Roll to start, while DBF had the quail appetizer. Then I had the cripsy chicken with potato gnocchi, while DBF had the oak fired filet. My chicken was delicious and the filet was out of this world. I had the cheese board for desert (delicious!) and DBF had the pear tart which was just ok. Overall, it was an amazing dinner!

All these TS were mixed in with a bunch of CS (obviously). We ate at my favorite, Columbia Harbour House (I had the tuna sandwich), Cosmic Rays, the place at MGM by Lights Motors Action ( I had the Greek salad and it was really good), and the ASMu food court. I would be happy to try to answer any questions!

How was MVMCP? We are going for the first time in 2 weeks, but going on a Friday night. Were there any characters at MVMCP that usually do not do meet and greets at MK like Gaston or Mulan? Sounds like you had a great time.

How were the crowds? Were the restaurants completely packed or just full?

Not really unusual characters...Belle was there in her Christmas dress and looked beautiful. Other characters were Snow White/Prince, Princess Aurora/Prince, Cinderella/Prince Charming, Scrooge, Donald, Mickey/Minnie, Woody, Pluto, Goofy. The Stepmother and Stepsisters from Cinderella were there, don't know if they are rarities, but they could be found at the Dance Party at Ariel's Grotto. Hope that helps!

It was different everywhere...We checked in for our 12:10 ADR at LeCellier at 11:50 and within 10 minutes people were lined up waiting to be told there were no immediate openings. They were told they would have to wait at least an hour to be seated. We were seated right at 12:10 pm on the dot, and the restaurant was pretty full. California Grill was able to seat us over an hour early, but there was definitely not an abundance of tables. We checked in at 7:20 for our 7:30 ADR in Italy and watched all the walk-ups get told at least an hour for a table. So I would say most places were pretty busy!

Great reviews - sounds like you had some lovely meals. Was the chicken dish at Cali Grill new? I don't remember seeing it on the AllEars menu :confused3

Since Cali Grill uses a lot of market-fresh foods, their menu often changes by the week! The crispy chicken dish was really yummy!

Thank you for sharing this, I'm trying to make ADRs soon (hopefully tomorrow). This will help.

Can you get a non alcholic beverage off the menus, other than soda and tea when you are on the ddp?
I was reading that some restaurants have signature non-alcoholic drinks.
It would be neat to try them if they are included.:yay: princess:

'Ohana offered us smoothies as regular drinks...I'm pretty sure that most places that serve smoothies/shakes will let you get those as a regular drink. You can also get milk, chocolate milk, juice, and coffee.
