We had a simply fantastic time despite the heat and crowds! We arrived Saturday, June 5 at the All Star Movies resort and upon check in we were asked to fill out a "diary" tracking our expenditures while in Disney. I am highly intrigued as to what they will do with the information collected with this method. Has anyone done one of these before?

DH and I did manage one night out without the boys. We booked them a spot in the Neverland Club (which is technically down for refurbishment, they were kept in the Tangaroa Terrace) and they loved it! Well worth the money spent! DH and I snuck off to Epcot and had a posh dinner at Bistro de Paris. Pricey, but worth every last cent!

Thursday, June 10 we had reservations for The Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian but we were hit with a massive thunderstorm while in the Magic Kingdom. Fortunately we were able to take refuge at the Plaza Pavilion and watch the lightning (and there was lots of it!) and rain. Later that night, the park was empty! We rode Splash Mountain three times in a row and BTMRR twice, without having to get off and re-queue.

DH (who isn't the biggest fan of WDW) has already requested that I start planning our next trip in two years! I couldn't believe it! He also bought me a Disney license plate frame which he put on the back of our minivan before we left Disney! He's a keeper. :p

**Just wanted to update and say that I finally received my "mystery gift" for filling out the Disney diary while on vacation in June. I received a $25.00 GC to the Disney Store. Well worth the few minutes every evening that it took to fill out the diary. :)

Thursday, June 10 we had reservations for The Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian but we were hit with a massive thunderstorm while in the Magic Kingdom.

I feel for you, we were stuck in MGM. As soon as we stepped out of the doors after eating at H&V it started. We never even had time to get the strollers before the rain hit. I had to get them in the rain. I don't mind some rain, but the downpour with lightning left us stranded under an awning (along with many others) just outside of H&V. Once nice thing, it sure did cool down during the rain.

Then stood in line for Fantasmic which got cancelled around 8:40 pm.

Oh well, we took off for Star Tours and got that in before they closed up.

H&V = very underrated. Best meal we had while at Disney.

We were there June 6-13 too. While you were stuck at the Plaza Pavillion and BrianMonk was under the awning at H&V, our crew was at Epcot trying to make our 6:30 PS at Teppanyaki in Japan. While the lightening was really bad we took refuge in the Odyssey Bldg in the restroom. Then we took a vote and just went for it and sloshed through ankle deep water and made it in time for our PS.

I didn't think it was all that crowded last week, but the heat and storms were bad.

BrianMonk, we were supposed to see Fantasmic that night but we didn't even go to MGM after dinner as I figured it wouldn't be showed. Your's is the first report I've heard whether or not I was right in my descision not to try.

Oh, we got one of those diarys at Beach Club but I laid it on top of the TV and forgot about it until it was time to leave. Never did fill it out. Let me know what the prize is!

I've never seen it storm quite like it did that afternoon! The lightning was so close that the flash and thunder were simultaneous. It was scary a couple of times.

We missed Fantasmic as well, this was our fourth trip since it's been an attraction and we've yet to see it. The one evening we were at MGM people were lining up a 7PM! We said "no way" and ended up calling it an early evening.

How did you like Teppanyaki? We have taken the boys there twice but passed this time to try something different. The first time we loved it, the second time our hibachi chef burned his fingers and got kind of grouchy. Not that I blame him, I guess...

I did get a character pen for each day of the diary I filled out. My "big" prize is supposed to come 4-6 (or 6-8) weeks from now. I'm curious to see what it is, it's described as a "$25.00 value"! :p I'll post and LYK what it is.

jennymouse- we were at Epcot too. Our ponchos did not do much good. Our almost 3 year old did not help the situation any. We just went from attraction to attraction to get out of it the best we could. When we left they were trying to bring Test Track back up.We just kept on trucking.

Just wanted to say that I love the picture in your sig! That's my favorite photo spot in the Magic Kingdom. Your boys are too cute!
