We had a simply fantastic time despite the heat and crowds! We arrived Saturday, June 5 at the All Star Movies resort and upon check in we were asked to fill out a "diary" tracking our expenditures while in Disney. I am highly intrigued as to what they will do with the information collected with this method. Has anyone done one of these before?
DH and I did manage one night out without the boys. We booked them a spot in the Neverland Club (which is technically down for refurbishment, they were kept in the Tangaroa Terrace) and they loved it! Well worth the money spent! DH and I snuck off to Epcot and had a posh dinner at Bistro de Paris. Pricey, but worth every last cent!
Thursday, June 10 we had reservations for The Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian but we were hit with a massive thunderstorm while in the Magic Kingdom. Fortunately we were able to take refuge at the Plaza Pavilion and watch the lightning (and there was lots of it!) and rain. Later that night, the park was empty! We rode Splash Mountain three times in a row and BTMRR twice, without having to get off and re-queue.
DH (who isn't the biggest fan of WDW) has already requested that I start planning our next trip in two years! I couldn't believe it! He also bought me a Disney license plate frame which he put on the back of our minivan before we left Disney! He's a keeper.
**Just wanted to update and say that I finally received my "mystery gift" for filling out the Disney diary while on vacation in June. I received a $25.00 GC to the Disney Store. Well worth the few minutes every evening that it took to fill out the diary.
