Just back from a great trip to Florida! First time to visit Vero - a nice change of pace from WDW. We were there for a week - a little long for us, but we enjoyed the relaxation. Loved the housekeeping CMs. We stayed on points at BCV, paid for VB, so had Mousekeeping everyday. Very clever towel animals each day. Great beach - fun CMs - loved the rockers on the porch.

The BCV as always was great. Loved the 5th floor view of Epcot and Illuminations. Any questions?

How was the Vero Beach area, I know they had a lot of Hurricane damage last fall??

A few questions for you, if you don't mind! What type villa did you have at BCV? What room number? We'll be there next month in a 2-br. Did you specifically ask for Epcot/Illuminations view? I've heard that they are not accepting requests for Epcot view because of Soarin. With that view, was the room still convenient to elevators, SAB, restaurants, etc? Did you have towel animals at BCV or just Vero... hmmm... you were on points so I imagine not at BCV unless you had additional towel service. We went through CRO and got an AP rate so I believe we get standard resort mousekeeping.

Thanks!

Hi Cali! Great to hear from you! Are you still hooked on the GF? Vero was very relaxing, so I think that you will enjoy it.

We did not make a room request at the BCV. This is our third stay there, and we were in a studio. We usually get a 1 BR villa, but with a short stay, the studio was fine. Soarin' did not interfere with the view at all. You can see the building, but it is now part of the Epcot landscape, not a construction site. I think the room number was 544. Great view of Spaceship Earth and the fireworks. We stayed at the BCV on points and did not have Mousekeeping service.

The room was fine in terms of location to the elevators, SAB, etc. We do not mind walking (frankly, with all that we eat on vacation, we need the exercise!).

Hi MJS. It's been a while since we've been to the GF. Lately, we've been staying at the BoardWalk Villas, since we bought into DVC a couple years ago. We're hooked on the two-bedroom boardwalk view villas. ;)

WELCOME BACK!! Ahh...DVBR...One of our absolute FAVS. :goodvibes [/b] This year marks our 8th consecutive summer visit, where we usually stay 10 days to 2 weeks. This summer...it's TWO WEEKS in a 1BR VILLA. We also pay for DVB, and love the astoundingly proficient housekeeping staff, whom leave the most adorable sea/FLORIDA-themed animal towels behind when finished! Last summer, we received a SEA TURTLE, ALLIGATOR, MANATEE, LOBSTER and a DOLPHIN in our villa. Vero has such an "old~style" Eastern resort-feel, much like the ones in the days of yore...up along the NE shore. Glad you enjoyed this beautiful resort, and your visit to BCV as well. :flower: :cloud9:

Thanks for the responses. We love the villas! Love having a washer/dryer and kitchen!

Cali, congrats on being a moderator! I do not visit the resort board much now that we are DVC members, so I did not know.
