Just because they weren't there when you checked, its a bit drastic to assume something had happened to them and they had died - they may well have been somewhere else at that time.

Yes, they may have been somewhere else....or you may have seen some different ducks.

Equally....the man in waders may have been a result of people raising concern.

Either way, thanks for the update! It's great to hear DLP are duck friendly after all, and hopefully they'll consider a more permanent solution as shown in Wuzefelix's post

IMO, from what happened on the day at IASW, both in how the CM's were and the way in which the man in waders (lucky they had a pair knocking about eh) skillfully retrieved the duckling - it would appear to be a regular occurance at this time of year.

With the volume of ducks around the park, perhaps someone will now take the decision to make the the ponds / banks more accessible for the smaller ones. It would certainly reduce the down time at IASW.

Did you get the burger in the end with all the bits off

Terrible carry on with the ducks, I really hate seeing them in there with the ducklings as I always think of the worst after seeing a duck nearly get flattened between 2 boats one year. A guest stood up in the boat so they would stop the ride and the duck swum off to safety
