Just arrived at BCV!

We just got checked in at BCV! This visit will complete our exploration of all 6 DVC resorts!

Check-in was busy, but we did get an enthusiastic "Welcome Home" from Bell Services and the front desk.

Our room is on the 5th floor (we requested top floor and Epcot view) and we can see the American Pavillion from our balcony. Request was made at 7 months. We also have a view of Swan,Dolphin and BWV from our balcony.

We have a 1BR villa and the room is immaculate (as expected). We really love the decor. There is a desk in the master BR (which holds the laptop I'm using right now) and there are many hidden Mickeys in the room. The resort hallway carpets also contain several hidden Mickeys. The bedspread, bar and chairs host Mickeys also.

I plan on trying to get some more info about the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa during our stay and will definitely explore the grounds during the week. We're here for 10 days.

Sounds like you like your 5th floor Epcot view location. Some have complained about noise from the road. Any truth to that? Also, have you been able to view the fireworks from Epcot? Enjoy your trip, we will be there in 14 days.

I know they are all 1st class, and advantages to each, but which one do you visit the most?

Do you think you will like the BCV better than HH or OKW? Or do you already miss the extra room?

I really like Cape May Cafe for breakfast - the characters are fun and buffett is really great.

Also would like your comments on the swimming pool - is it worth for the extra points to have access to this pool?

Isn't it wonderful to able to walk to Epcot.

Hi...someone asked about the noise...

We are in the BCV now, 4th floor, in a 2 bedroom facing Epcot. I don't understand the complaints about the noise. There is a road that runs behind this part of the hotel, but we can't hear a thing with the doors closed. If you are out on the deck, you can hear the cars and buses but it's not deafening or anything, just a bit annoying. What does bother me is the bugs and spiders out there...you can't turn off the balcony lights so they kind of hang with you.....

I would never fret about getting an Epcot view again....although it's nice, we are not in the room enough to take advantage of it, especially at firework time. This resort is so unbelievably beautiful, that I'd love it no matter what the view.

We leave tomorrow so I am very sad......

Thanks for the updates! Love hearing from folks who have visited or are visiting BCV. We've asked for the same room as you - 1 bdrm, top floor, Epcot view, reservations made at 7 months.

We have been back from BCV almost a week. I made the 5th floor facing Epcot request also, but did not get it, we faced the quiet pool instead. We also requested the 2nd bedroom door in the foyer, and did not get that. This was more of a problem, as we used that pull out couch in the living room every night (7 nights). We arrived late, 9pm, so we were "stuck".

We are just back from a week at BCV we stayed in a dedicated 2bdrm #468 we enjoyed the pool view. It was very close to the single elevator. The elevators at BCV seemed to be very quick we never seemed to wait at all. We also liked the parking situation better plenty of spaces and close to the room. We never felt the need to valet park which we often had to use at BWV in the evenings. One thing we didn't like was not being able to turn off the outside light on the porch we had a nice size porch but I doubt many people would want to use it at night with the big light on. This mainly seems to be a problem on the 4th floor rooms.We also enjoyed the Dunes Cove pool it's a good alternative to SAB especially later in the evening.

Doc..... Keep the reports coming if you're not too tired as you come back each night. We are looking for a good view and it seems you have one. Must be on a corner or something to be able to get what you have. What is view like at night and what room are you in? Also, do you have free internet access in your room?
