So, I was thinking today. Do you think Disneyland and DisneyWorld would have been half as successful if Walt's last name had been something like "Hammschalt?"

Would we all be going to Hammschaltland now?

Well, we might all still be going but we wouldn't be able to spell it!!!

I'm sure he would have shortened the name to "Hammland" or "Hammworld".

I do suspect the park host/mascot would be a pig though.

I have often wondered the same thing. I've always thought it would be so cool if my last name were Disney. Kristi Disney, that has a nice ring to it doesn't it!

P.S. I don't have that much time on my hands, just hiding from my children who have just tracked out of school for almost a MONTH!

Your kids are out. I'm very sory to hear that. LOL Mine on the other hand dont get out until June 24th this year, we might as well go to school year round. I guess that is what I get for living in new england.

Lucky you! We are hoping to be up in New England next year!! We wouldn't do the year round schooling if the schools weren't so horrible here, but that is another topic!
