Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

They used a spotlight and a scrim back in the day, pretty simple stage-magic.

I hope they add Murphy, too, but it is WDW, and they do often get the shaft on things like Murphy.
That's what it was! I read the whole thing on DB but it was a while ago. Thank you:)

There is a pretty big possibility that they might add Murphy. Fantasmic is the least attractive nighttime show. IMO

I'm rather undecided on Fantasmic!. It plays on the Rivers of America in DL, which while very cool, is a bit of a theme intrusion. However, it could be seen as the park itself putting on a show for the guests.

In WDW, I enjoyed it, but agree its a little weak compared to the other shows.

My favorite Nighttime event at WDW is IllumiNations... sorry for the OT, lol.

NP:)

My favorite is Wishes.

What can I say? I'm a MK girl all around. :goodvibes

I liked Wishes better from the California Grill than I did in the park. xD I'm weird about that. Magical! in DL was just for the summer, but they had a flying Dumbo as well as Tink.

It's so cool in person.

I really love the soundtrack to Wishes. I do an online poll thing and I'm thinking of saving my points to get a Amazon gc so I can order it.

And I'm really sorry for the hijack of this thread.

xD

I don't consider it hijacking, we're discussing things loosely related to Imagineering.

I'm super excited because on 9/9/09 they're releasing a new soundtrack CD to the HM, including the new Connie lines, etc.

I'm more excited for the fact the Phantonm Manor soundtrack will be included, the music to that is beautiful.

My god I love DLRP:

OK!

Where can I buy this? I want it.

I really love the Phantom Manor music. It's beautiful, yet frighting at the same time. XD

The CD will be on sale in the WDW/DL parks and I think you could probably call the DelivEARS service. That's what I did when The Art of Walt Disney World book came out. I can't decide whether to call on 9/9/09 or a little after to make sure they have it.

The Phantom Manor music is so haunting, I also love listening to the dialogue to practice my French xD But Vincent Price's english narration was AMAZING.

I want to go to DLRP, too, their Space Mountain is themed to Jules Verne's "A la lune de la terre" To the Moon from the Earth. You're "shot" out of a cannon to the moon.

That settles it. I am SO buying it. I just need money. XD

Yea, it's probably NOT the kinda music you want to hear right before bed. XD

That's so awesome. If I ever get to Paris, I'm going.

I'm so buying it , too lol. I just love how beautiful it is, especially with the bride's singing in the background.

I couldn't imagine not going to it if I was only a train station or two away :rotfl:

It has the most visually stunning Magic Kingdom, and it's a real shame they don't keep it up maintenance wise.

I really need a job. XD

Trust me, I do too, but that just doesn't happen with Stage Crew :rotfl:

ITA with the morons sentiment, but I really thnk they just don't care over there. The Phantom Manor ballroom dancers haven't been dancing for a while... just static.

Also I hear that they have a big problem with some cultures more than others with a "me me me" attitude are big smokers everywhere, in lines, etc. and tons of line jumping.

I go to DLRP, I'd be offending some people. The line jumpers, the smokers, the rude people ect. ect.

xD yeah..

I love the roof they have over their Mad Tea Party attraction... and Alice's Curious Labryinth is so neat-o.

Walt Disney Studios park, on the other hand... not a fan.

all i know about disneyland paris is from watching my disneyland sing along movie in french :) boy do i love tht sing along

I looooove watching the Wishes fireworks from the Poly's beach! I'm crazy like that too, lol :]

Okay, I know I am going to sound like an idiot saying this, but I've never been to DL and I've always wondered, do they have any resorts like on-property? Because, I know DL is soo small, like it could fit in MK's parking lot with room for about 500 cars, but I've never really understood if they have resorts/hotels or not. I guess, it's just another topid to discuss...

DLR has two parks, a DtD, and 3 resort hotels. DL as a park may be able to fit in the parking lot, but there are several attractions outside the berm, as well.
