It sounds like a good decision that they got rid of him. He sounds a bit weird, and had said several strange things. I bet that this trial will turn into the neverending story!

Dan Abrams did a segment about this juror. Apparently he said something to the other side while going through the metal detector like "you are going to lose today". No one was quite sure of the exact words. They were debating whether or not what was said could be considered controversial. So I guess they had started to watch this juror more closely.
I remember hearing on a news show that Scott Peterson's lawyer didn't want this guy booted from the jury last week for talking to Laci's brother because the defense felt this guy was firmly in their corner.
After reading the article, it sounds like he was a "defense" guy. The tv show had also said that each morning, this juror would always acknowledge the defense table with a slight nod of his head and a small smile.
Probably a good thing he's gone if there is interest in a "fair" trial.
I just heard this guy being interviewed by the media and he said if he had to decide today, that there is no way he could convict Scott Peterson. He says the prosecution hasn't shown anything to make him think he's guilty. Wonder if this is going to be another OJ case?

Last Friday they were thinking he said, you're going to lose today, but then on Monday, he was questioned and even Laci's brother acknowledged that he said something about not being in the news today or something to that extent. That's why he wasn't let go on Monday.
I agree though, this guy had to go. While I don't want to accuse him of anything, I think it's best they just replace him with one of the 6 alternates and move forward.

This is my fear too. The prosecution has a lot of circumstantial evidence (that we know of), but I'm not 100% that's going to be enough. Sounds to me like that juror already has his mind made up though. I'm glad he's gone!
You are right, he said. "pregnant women are crazy"! On Larry King tonight he rephrased his statement by saying that pregnant women are emotional and do things that don't always make sense.
