Jungle Cruise. -- love it or hate it?

I love the cheesiness of the whole ride. It is terrible for adults but the children love it.

I like it okay during the day. Yes, it's hokey, but it has a certain charm.

At night, it's a different story. I love it at night.

Personally, I can't imagine the ride without the Catskills stand-up routine. What would you be left with? A narrated trip through a plastic jungle? Ugh! Let me point out a few of my favorite jokes.......There's one. And over there is another one.

No doubt. I think it all depends on the skipper. We had one that was absolutely hilarious. He had the whole boat lol. Sometimes you get one that's lackluster but either way you always expect the corny jokes! Like you said...what would you be left with?

I don't see a 6 year old getting any of the jokes, but like PP said, they'll appreciate the scenes. I think you'd need to hit at least 10 before you get most of them.

I love it! I know there are going to be non stop jokes and they use the same ones so often that we usually say them with the skipper! that's part of what makes it fun for me! I love the cornyness of it all! gotta do it AT LEAST once while we are there. If you get REALLY lucky, they will come up with a joke you haven't heard before! YAY!

About a year ago we were riding the Jungle Cruise at DL, and the Skipper showed us 'the back side of water'. Then she started chanting, "O2H! O2H!" and my daughter stepped right into it, telling her that she was saying it backwards. I think that's the biggest laugh we ever had on the ride, and we've had a lot!

We only visit WDW every 2 years, but visit DL about twice a year. It seems that we always hear a new joke (such as O2H) at DL every time we go. I think the Skippers try to make up new ones. You can imagine that they get bored with the same ones every time as well. Still, it's also nice to hear the ones I remember from my first ride as a kid.

I also love the Weird Al Skipper Dan song.

We absolutely LOVE the Jungle Cruise! It's a family favorite and we enjoy the corny jokes. I typically will get into things and play along with the CM when we ride. We never miss this one.

Love it!! I'll admit the CM and your fellow shipmates definitely have an impact on how much you laugh but we always have a good time. I have zero problems taking myself too seriously and can always laugh away at the corny jokes!!!!

I like it when there is an ok sipper, and I love it when there is a really good skipper. Their delivery can make all the difference. I think it's better at night, too. It's a must do every trip. Once during the day, and once at night, if I can.

I second this! We love it at night. We don't bother with it during the day. The last time we rode it I laughed so hard that my cheeks hurt.

Hated it. I had only heard good things about it before. While we had gone to Disney World several times, we finally rode it for the first time this last trip. What a colossal waste of time. Completely unfunny and both my husband and I said never again. That being said, I can see where the jokes possibly could've been close to humorous, but our skipper was pretty terrible at delivery. It seemed he did not care for his job.
