Jungle Cruise Attraction Survey Released

My only complaint was that the CM who drove our boat and narrated obviously didn't care. You could tell that she was just going through the motions. It really ruined the ride for me.

I posted this a while ago, but I think it would be really cool to have a character Meet & Greet with Albert Falls (or his grandson or something). A character from the actual story of the attraction. He could tell you about his adventures and show you "treasures" that he's brought back from his journeys. They can then sell those same items in the Jungle Cruise gift shop, to help fund his future voyages.

I think that would really help with the immersion aspect, as well as establishing a brand.

But at the end of the day, if you ask me, unique attraction specific merchandise is the name of the game.

Totally agree. I would also like to see periodic overlays at WDW. The Jingle Cruise overlay in Disneyland is fantastic and you can tell many of the skippers really get into it.

The Jingle Cruise at WDW is also fantastic! It's one of our must-do FP's during our December trips!

Great ride but upgrading the animatronics and exhibits to modern standards should be a non-controversial given. But for the Hall of Presidents, Disney has tended not to view the ongoing, rolling upgrades that they should see as "maintenance" as part of the programmed cost of their attractions. As such, you can date these rides from the quality of their animatronics. That's a real pity.

I enjoy Jungle Cruise as there are few other "rides" that require such talent and coordination from the CMs.

I understand that some have gotten them for Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain too. WHAT are they up to?

Disney runs their own research/survey department. The infrastructure to create, disseminate, collect, and analyze surveys of this nature already exists.

One of the tenets of social science research is that you can't assume something as fact without proof. Proving every little thing is a necessary pain because occasionally what seems like common sense turns out to be wrong. The simplest example of that involves the concept of induced demand and roads. In most cases, adding lanes to a road or highway actually increases traffic.

So while these surveys might be a clue to something happening in the future, it also might be a way for management's to confirm their understanding of guest's feelings about these attractions.

I doubt anyone would mind those kinds of updates. But let's face it. They just updated DCA's ToT to GotG. That makes a lot of people nervous about the lengths they will travel to promote a current IP.

Not to mention just about removing Norway from the Norway pavilion in favor of various fantasy IP's (mostly Frozen). Plus TGMR becoming a Mickey Mouse attraction and so on. It seems to be a trend that might just be snowballing.

It really does sound like a big gear change recently. And that makes me nervous for a lot of the classics.

Hopefully they aren't sticking in IP's where they don't belong. I'm alright with them adding things like explosions on Big Thunder and Ghosts on Haunted. But I don't want to see live action movies tossed in to sell t-shirts.

Picture if they would have added Eddie Murphy into Haunted before that movie came out. Yuck.

I'd be banned from property cause I would've taken a sledge hammer to his AA

Ahhhhhh....hhhhhh, thank God Baywatch bombed. The Rock is the new muscular version of Samuel L. Jackson.

He's everywhere. Movies, Television, Wrestling, my dreams.... wait forget about that last one.

Samuel L Jackson at least has talent though

I received survey as well but mine went into great detail about the haunted mansion. Maybe those haunted mansion restaurant rumors arent rumors. Definate research in regards to updating the ride adding restaurants and all kinds of merch.
Yeah, I received the email last week and same result. Turned into a HM survey

I got the same survey. The movie didn't totally surprise me, but some questions did. A Stage show based on the Jungle Cruise? Jungle Cruise themed dinner-ware? Themed food? Lots of very specific questions.

As long as they get rid of the tree in Adventureland I'd take anything. One kid in front of me asked what the line was for. His parents looked like they didn't want to tell him that that was the attraction.

I'm constantly surprised that Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse remains. At least when I was young, they would still show the movie occasionally - and with limited TV or cable, you watched it. I don't think I've seen it on TV in 20+ years. It has zero relevance to most people today.
