Jungle Cruise Attraction Survey Released

I'm constantly surprised that Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse remains. At least when I was young, they would still show the movie occasionally - and with limited TV or cable, you watched it. I don't think I've seen it on TV in 20+ years. It has zero relevance to most people today.

True, but look at the attraction itself. It has no moving parts, no animatronics, no cast members needed during the day, and it sits on a plot of land that would be difficult to do anything else with. In other words, some paint and prop maintenance is all that is needed to keep it open, and closing and replacing it with something more relevant or better is difficult to imagine. We walked through it with my 7 year old daughter in December. Probably the first time I've been up there in over 20 years. It was fine. A good way to kill some time before our next FP. She certainly liked it better than the Tiki Room, although the same can not be said for me!

I feel like the treehouse stays in part because of the respect to the labor/manpower that went into creating it. Who really wants to be the guy to put the sledgehammer to that?

Also the fact that I'm not really sure how big of a footprint (square footage wise) it takes up and what you could do with the space

we have only been on the jungle cruise once, it was our first fastpass our first day at magic kingdom on our first (and only) disney vacation. we had *no* idea what this ride was, what to expect and it was quirky, unexpected and fun. honestly, i don't remember that much, just that the boat driver was very jokey-jokey and it was fun and relaxing.

i appreciate seasoned disney fans opinions about upgrade or not.... i would love to do it again!

The tree house appears to be built over swampy crud. I'm not terribly sure that they could do a whole lot of anything else with that particular little bit of land anyway.

I like them trying to expand the brand of the jungle cruise but the skipper canteen does no justice to the jungle cruise. I ate there last night and it was awful. Just my opinion.

I appreciate nostalgia and classics, but I have to say, at a minimum, Jungle Cruise needs updating. I'm fine with the pace, the skipper and the jokes... but the animals at the very least feel very dated.

FYI to parents taking their kids to Disney for the first time: Don't make the mistake of doing this ride after having gone on Kilimanjaro Safari at AK. Becomes a bit of a downer. :)

Two comments that are just my humble opine following my enjoyment reading all of yours... 1. I love the idea of having a relative of Albert Falls. How about, halfway through the JC, imagineers construct a place (think Adventurers Club type for families) where those who wish to disembark the attraction could visit for food, drinks and entertainment (with gift shop, of course) and then catch another boat back to the dock when they're ready? And 2. Why the heck haven't they remade (and updated, of course) Swiss Family Robinson? In today's world, an island without a person's tech toys would be a true challenge! And, no, I realize I haven't thought either idea through completely. Random thoughts.

I know it's beautiful looking and all, but I think they should get rid of the tree. Mannequins are pretty too, but I'm not going to ask one to marry me.

It'd be cool if they added a pirates play area for the kids. This way at least someone is enjoying this area.

I wish they would come up w/ a lot more/new jokes; that's why i dont go on it as much anymore... it should be like TOT when you dont know which drop you'll get but w/ jokes :)

I love JC with the corny puns and the early 20th century explorer theme. I hope they keep that.

That said... I would love it if they expanded and improved it, and made it bigger/longer. That would be amazing.
