Jungle Josh's Trip Report
Part 5:
Jungle Adventures: A Day at Epcot!
The Players:
Jungle Josh (22/m) - Former WDW Cast Member, Disney Fanatic.
Cousin A (22/m) - My best friend, a little nervous, quiet type.
Little Cousin B (10/f) - First trip away from her parents, never spent more than 2 days at WDW.
Our Aunt (55/f) - Buisnesswoman, loves to spend time at WDW relaxing as opposed to running the parks 24/7, has a walking handicap.
Little Cousin C (6/m) - will arrive with his parents later in the trip...Cousin B's brother.
Cousin D (34/m) - B and C's Dad, will join us later in the trip
Cousin D's DW (32/f) - Will join us later in the trip.

It's Friday July 23rd and the sun is shining. My aunt was the first one up and ready before the rest of us got out of bed. I was the second one up. My aunt went went down to the lounge, and returned with an array of wonderful breakfast foods....donuts, cereal, fruits etc...very impressive.
Over breakfast my aunt informs me that the bill we got at check-in is almost $1000 more than the price on our reservation...I almost cghoke on my tropical orange.mango juice at this news...$1000!!!!!!!!! Thatsnot good at all. I look over the papers and realize for some reason they have charged me more than $100 more per night than the reservation. So as the others get ready for our day I run down to the first floor and bring this to the attention of one of the CMs...he apologizes emphatically and notices that the rate they charged us wasn't even close to the rack rate (we were on AP discount). He didn't know what had happened and assured me that it would be taken care of while I was at the parks...I could come back that evening before 10 and get a corrected statement. Sounds good to me.
Now it's off to Epcot. My little cousin is so excited about Mission Space...She has been to Epcot only 1 time and has only ridden test track and eaten at Mexico (I so have to get on her parents for not showing her all of the world!
) First stop...aunt needs her ECV (again, she has a handicap complicated by diabetes so walking isn't easy for her). Thank goodness they have one available for her..I didn't want to have that conversation again. Then its off to Spaceship Earth...again, little cousin has never seen some of these things that have long been staples of my Disney vacations.
She loves Spaceship earth, but is just dying to see mission:sapce. I saw it last summer before it opened, when the walls were still up and everything. And I rode it again January...I enjoy it...but Cousin (22) has clausterphoia and freaked out the one time he tried to ride and aunt just doesnt do wild rides. .So we ditch the party poopers.
First things first, we get a fastpass...we plan on waiting in line and then using our fastpass. On top of this, we abuse the system and use Other cousin and aunts fastpasses for the same time is that wrong
?? So we get our fastpasses and walk to the standby line, when some kind woman and her daughter as us if we want her extra fastpasses good for 15 minutes from now....we've once again hit the motherload...so we hop out of line, accept the offer and decide to hang out for a bit. The we ride...what a fun ride...she LOVES it! we explore to training ceter after the ride and before we know it our fastpasses are good...so we ride it two more times. I buy my little cousin and I the Mission:Space lanyard tags and we wear them as badges of pride! 
Next up...test track...about an hour wait. Then its off to Imagination. I really miss the original...How can figment exist without dreamfinder...its just so...WRONG!
We grab a quick bite at the Electric Umbrella and the introduce littel cousin to Ice Station Cool and the joy that is Beverly. we get her to try it...30 minutes later she decides she doesnt completly hate us and forgives us! She decides to do the same thing to her little brother the next week.
Now we head for the World Showcase. I love the World Showcase...it just gets better every time I go...I was worried little cousin might get bored, I remember not liking it to much when I was little. She falls in love with this HUGE eeyore plush at the UK...but is conviced her mother would have not only her head, but ours as well if we buy it for her..it was the single biggest Disney plush I have ever seen. We buy a couple of pastries in France and share them...to rich for my blood...Im not a big sweets guy.
In Japan my cousin and I purchase some Saki and a saki set and have it sent to our room. Fun for later!
We see the American Adventure Show and watch the drum a fife corps. thats fun. Little cousin is drafted for the Custodial Olympics near Germany. Played with water balloons..got a nice little magical getherings certificate for playing. We continue our journey through each country...I finally get to Mexico and indulge in a Fiesta Margarita...sooooooo good.
At Dinner time we head to the Coral Reef for our PS...I am the only one who has eaten here before...everyone else thinks it is so neat on the inside. We are seated on the bottom level at a table right next to the glass. Little cousin is in awe of all the fish...so cool. I agree. We have a WONDERFUL meal and top it off with a desert (little cousin makes her own sunae...something which blows her little mind
)
After dinner we shop and find a soft baseball bat and ball in mousegear....this could be fun....so I buy it. We head back to the Poly...everyone wants to watch Wishes from the balcony at 10. I end up down at the desk getting the corrected bill, such wonderful service. After the AMAZING view of the fireworks, its off to the pool for some late night fun and games. We decide to play pool baseball (with our new bat and ball...after the pool had cleared out) It was fun, almost lost the ball a few times, but i think little cousin is enjoying al lthe attention and seeing us old people playing with her. I know I am!
After a while its back to the room. I get out my laptop, I have some paperwork I have to do to finalize my school registration while I am on vacation. I have several deadlines over the week. My aunt also has some buisness to tend to online this week so a laptop comes in handy. I turn on the computer, plug it into the phone get out the battery charger----------- wait...where is the charger? It was right here the other day...before I plugged it ino the wall at the POFQ----and left it plugged into the wall
yes folks..I am that ditzy...
I immediatly called the POFQ and inform them of my idiocy..they make note and say they will call me tomorrow...
I have enough battery power to do some of my work, if i conserve energy..so I make quick work of that and head to the balcony to enjoy the view and a beer. I Love WDW...and the Poly...I am slowly falling in love with it!
Off to bed...tomorrow is another day! Plenty more adventure to come! Will the POFQ find my charger? Will they ever return my call? Will the pool baseball continue? Will little cousin continue to remain homesick-free? Tune in tomorrow to find out!
