Good morning, Dearies!
Let's see, 3 things I'm grateful for, past, present, and future...
Past- A lot of pretty crummy experiences that taught me perspective and made me stronger... the retirement check is pretty sweet, too...
Present- Baby bunny! Wait, that's too easy... rain. It's been raining off and on with more in the forecast... that is good for the gardens and lazy for me!
Future- This one is tricky! Ok, got one... I am thankful that I ran across information regarding a small hippie-dippie festival that has rescheduled for August not far from here. The plan is to camp overnight at a nearby state park (we are probably going to get one of the "rustic" cabins, just in case... Summer storms are beautiful, but my tent disagrees... The agenda is not posted yet, but probably herb lectures, vendors, drumming and meditation and who knows what else... my daughters are at an age where they are exploring spirtuality so they are excited.
And yesterday's woohoo that is actually from this past weekend...

My peaceful place! This area is DEEP shade, so I can't be sure that the grass will do well, or that the roses and hydrangea will thrive... but it gives me joy anyway, even if it doesn't grow the way I hoped... Just the time I have already spent in the hammock listening to the birds and watching the sun dapples has made it worth it. Also, in the lower right corner of the picture, those pale-green round seedpods are on one of my favorite types of flowers, sometimes called money plants, but I grew up calling them "silver pennies." Anyway, those will be fully developed soon, then I can harvest the seeds and plant some at my niece's place... There's something special about being able to landscape her new place with divisions from my old one
Winner! Winner!
He's there again right now, but awake this time. I think he likes the warmth... as long as he doesn't pee and keeps his teeth to himself...
Ok... plan for the day... get the last of the kids' school stuff ironed out... clean the kitchen... take my mom her mail that still comes here... I was talking with my niece about visiting her this week, and tonight was the target... but that was before the bunny-o-cuteness... I mean the WEATHER... yeah... not great weather for a visit.... And I suppose at some point I'll have to feed the children... so irritating, the want to eat EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!!!
