So, I have read about sharing/splitting the cost of a photopass CD from the Budget Board. This is legal since what you are paying is to get the rights to the pictures - we would just be splitting that cost ($124.99) and shipping (evenly).

Anyhow, I am interested in organizing this shared photopass CD.

Here is my plan - create a neutral email account and photopass account we can share, that way we can all login and add graphics and such to our pictures. I have heard that they do not limit how many pictures you can have on the CD's now (though I have also heard 500). . .but just in case we should set a limit to how many people are sharing - I was thinking about 5 people (could be more or less, but that was my ideal). Then I would put in the order for the CD by the cut off day that we set to be done adding photo's/editing/adding graphics to them.
I would put in the time and CD's (or DVD's) to burn everyone copies and pay the postage to send them out (unless you would want to help with that).

Let me know if you are interested so I can get to organizing.

Does anyone know how long Disney keeps the photo's in their system - that would determine the time frame (i.e. what dates of vacations can be included).

So far sharing are. . .

myself - June 18 - 22
HeatherFeather - June 24 - 28

I think I would be interested, but how do we do it? We will be there June 10-13

How would we do what? (let me know if your question is not covered by my responce below)

I stated above, I would place the order and we would create a new photopass account with an email account we can share. I would order it - once it arrives and I recieve your cut, I would make your copy and send it to you. Let me know if you would like to be added to the list.

Having someone with a June 10th date means those of us with a later date would have to be done uploading photo's and adding embellishment's before July 9th (should not be a problem) adding photo's means typing in photopass card numbers - and then you can play around by adding disney layoevr's (included in price).

Just remember to get new cards when doing this. You can't put an old card on a new account.
We just reuse our cards and I'm sure others do as well.

Have fun.

Also, remember that you can't go home and load your photos to an account to look at them and THEN put them in the shared account. Each card can only be loaded to ONE account. If you do them yourself, you won't be able to share......

I'm in! We'll be there June 10-13th- so having them loaded by July shouldn't be a problem

Just so I understand, we bring the photopass card home and then enter the number on it into some kind of system?

Yes - before the first person in our group that is sharing goes, I will set up the email and account that we will be sharing - this way we can all enter them onto there :)

anyone else?

I thought the photo pass was free. They take your photos throughout the park and when you leave and stop at the photo shop you pick out your photos to purchase.

What do you get for the purchase price of the cd?

You get all your photos at a high Resolution so you can print them yourself or take them to get printed . It's way cheaper then purchasing them at the parks at $15 a pop. This also comes with a release so you can get them enlarged or anything else.

So I can add my own photos, and all of the professional photos, and get them all on a cd to print when I want?

I wouldn't know how to add graphics or do much more with them other than crop, brighten or whatever but if I could get their photos of all of us that would be worth it.

So, I'm going May 31st - June 2nd, does that fall into your cd-sharing timeframe?

It looks like it may be too early (your dates) but will keep you in mind and let you know. ORR you can try and plan a May Photopass CD sharing group. . . .

Hi Adi and all others interested. I already have a photopass account from past WDW trips. I took the following from their website...

Storage Policy
Disney's PhotoPass Photos

Photos linked to a Disney's PhotoPass ID will be available online by the morning after the photos were taken. Guests must claim photos within 30 days from when the photos were taken. Photos not claimed within 30 days from which they were taken will no longer be available. Once photos are claimed and associated to a DisneyPhotoPass.com account, they will be available for viewing, sharing and purchasing for 30 days from the date they were claimed, after which the photos will no longer be available.

So we have 30 days from when they're taken to enter them, and then they are available for 30 days. Since I will probably be the last one....getting back the 28th, I will need to hurry my butt up and get mine in there.

Just want to reiterate for anyone else interested. Do NOT open your own photopass account to look at your photos. Once they are in one account they can't be put into another one. Disney changed this a little while back, probably to discourage exactly what we are doing.

I'd like to jump in on the photopass sharing :goodvibes We will be there June 2nd - 5th so I hope I'm not to early :confused3

It looks like there are 2 of us from CO who will be there on June 2nd so we just need a couple more - and someone who knows how to do this!

Is there a limit of how many pictures we can upload to this account at all? Like how many pictures do they take of you in the park on average? Is there a limit on how many people can photo share?

Duh, I just reread the op and I see there isn't a limit or else a huge one if there is.
But how many pictures do you usually get taken over the course of a trip? Just curious to see if it will be worth it for us or not?

We will be in the parks the 2nd - 9th of June. I know that this is towards the first of the month. I would love to share the CD with someone but I'am not sure how to do it. Do you each get a photpass and then put into 1 account. I follow directions good but not sure that I could be in charge.

Here are those who have shown interest in the swap:

hrhlaurie - May 31st - June 2nd***
Grandma Debbie - June 2 - 5 ***
M-of-thomas - June 2 - 9 ***
mommyandmore - June 10 - 13th
myself - June 18 - 22
HeatherFeather - June 24 - 28

Those with the *** in order to have more of us to split, and because the span of time we spread I would ask that you do not open up your photopass pictures on the account until June 10th - I know that will be a week for your to wait hrhlaurie and 5 days for you Grandma Debbie, BUT this would mean splitting the $124.99 PLUS shiping by 6. . . making a significant savings (I am thinking it will not be more than $25 for us if all 6 of us go in on it). We would then all have to be done adding and editing pictures by July 7th (2 days early, but I want to ensure that NO ONE loses their pictures).

Will this work for you all? If so, we are on. I will create an email account and photopass account before June 10th for us to share. Can you each PM me with your email accounts so I can better keep in touch with you (if you are in).

ALSO - do not add your photopass card numbers to ANY OTHER ACCOUNT - this would invalidate your ability to participate - you can only add your pictures to one account. . . .
