TP2, glad you have your dates worked out for the trip. It's always confusing on what's the best deal. When do you call for dining?

mky...I was only up because DH and I were watching a movie and we were talking to DS. We totally missed the midnight time frame. I looked up and it was 12:20!! First time in YEARS we have been up and we missed it anyway

Happy New Year Everyone

There I am trying to experiment with fonts and colors! Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year.

We got snowed in at my parents house. Tomar...You are amazing because it was only 1 night for us and I was pulling my hair out. I like the peace and quiet of home. We had my 19 month old niece snowed in with us too, not to mention my dog. It was an ugly and stressful scene. No bottle for the baby and then the dog ate her last binky. Not a good scene but we survived!

Bug...Happy Belated Birthday. So much going on lately, so sorry I missed that.

Have a wonderful trip everyone. I think I am getting things sorted out for this summer. Was not sure how to work out our dates. I want ot arrive on the 16th but FD does not start until the 19th. Just learned that you can pick up your package tickets 3 days prior to check in. So that makes life work for us. We travel in on the 16th with the room discount then FD from the 19th on. Works for me!

well, the warmer weather has certainly made life alittle easier around here, the snow is melting fast, thank goodness !

TP2- ....It wasn`t too bad for us ....we were all adults in the house, and most of the time the guys were outside shoveling ....but I know how you feel, after the 4th day, I wanted to cry ! ...I wanted out of the house sooooo bad ! I couldn`t imagine with the baby and the dog, how you guys managed !
Besides, your totally off your regualar schedule for anything ....we spent sooo many hours just talking and eatting ...I must have gained 5 pounds over all of this holiday, and the blizzard of 2010 !!
Glad you got all of your dates done for your vacation to the world this summer ....we are still in limbo for about 6 nights, that I thought would be in the next round of room discounts , BUT AREN`T....Yuck !.....Looks like July is starting to get shut out again, like years ago .....ick !

yeah i did... stayed in bed all day and night really, had my nurse of a cat, BJ by my side the entire time.. lol... superglued to me more like... i even went to relax in the bathe with some bathetherapy stuff and she had to be in there with me too... sat on the side of the tub watching me.. lol..

but i feel better, thank you, it only lasted a horrible 12 hours(about), so ive been able to keep things down now. though im still being careful... eating slowly, drinking slowly..etc... not eating much still.. etc..

Tomar: Yes, the baby and dog added to the stress. I am very relieved to get the whole date thing situated. I was getting nervous that our flights would be released before I had the hotel nailed down. I am sorry you are still waiting on 6 nights. No one else would think it is stressful but the entire trip depends on those 6 nights!!!! I did read other people complaining about July not having any discounts. That is the reason we moved to August. Just as hot but tons cheaper and less crowded. I don't regret it at all. Only issue we face is it conflicts with the back to school stuff. But this year is not an issue, no one is starting a new school so we are all good.

We all have the chest congestion in this house. Hoping to keep the stomach virus out. We had it in the summer, so I am hoping we did our time.

I know im just blabbering on.. but i cant help it when i get excited...one thing me and Kay want to see again is Cirque de Soleil. we saw it when we went in 2009 and was so in awe of it! it was probably the most amazing thing we have ever seen. And actually we just did it on a whim, on the day before we left, we happen to have the money for the tickets and went, what the hell? lol... the best things tend to happen that way..


my trip to disney this past year (2010) wasnt great. I didnt think it was quite possible to not have fun at disney. But my cousin proved me wrong. it started with her having to stop all the time to smoke. it wasted so much of our time. before we got on a ride, after we got on a ride, on the walk to the rides/shows... UGH! thats one reason why i wasnt too upset when i got sick when we were there.and she always made us late for things. never swam in the middle of the night like i liked to do. And the part that makes me the maddest... was that because of her i missed the one parade i wanted to see, and couldnt wait to see. It wasnt running in 2009 when me and kay were there... the electromagic parade! it was always my fav...i was so upset over that. The one that i actaully wanted to see with all my heart.. and because she wanted to wait till sunday, the day before we left, to see it, then she found out it wasnt running that night... it really sucked.. and made the trip that much more worse... I dont think i will end up settling on going on a trip with her again.. only reason i went with her is cuz my sis got pregnant and couldnt go..​

TP2: Our flights on SW have only gone up since I bought them. The same flight is now $200 each way.

Wow, sounds like alot of sickness going around. We are all ok for the moment. [knocking on wood] Too early for bug and i to get sick, holding off till late feb, so I can be sick in wdw.

We are packed at work, mostly bad pneumonia's so be careful.

I agree, Tomar might be waiting till 1 or 2 more release dates. They usually release ap rooms all of summer till the second week in august. I bet we hear something soon. I don't think the economy is great enough yet, to block out july. Looks like we are planning to join TP2 back in august. Need to turn in request for the year by jan 31.

JMouse, you can be as excited as you like. We understand. Sorry about your trip. I have found better to go with just my sister too. Way more comfortable and relaxed. We both like the same things. Where in indiana are you north or south? I am up in north / east illinois, south of chicago.

EE22, I agree, SW is better the earlier you buy it.

yeah im still sick, but at least i am able to call in tonight if needed. I couldnt do it yesterday cuz i wanted my holiday pay. and i needed food.

mky, yeah it suced in 2010. me and my sis, is techincally my best friend, not really my sister. but thats how close we are, and since we were in high school everyone has thought we were sisters. when we went to disney in 2009, all the security guards that checked your bags before you get in the parks, and the people at the turnstiles thought we were sisters. we finally got to the point.. yeah we're sisters... good thing about going on a trip with her. other than bra, we wear all the same sizes. so we dont have to pack as much since we will have 2 wardrobes anyways!!

TP2- Mr. Tomar was battleing a cold all through the holidays, and our DS`s GF had an ear infection......I spent our snow bound days , spraying Lysol everywhere 24/7 !

I am soooooooooooooooooooooo out of the loop. I didn't realize that they released a public code for aug. etc. Found that late last night, got dialing and I got in before the wdw line closed. I could of done it online, but not sure about the payment and cancel rules online. I think they where like a package. pay 45 days out & big cancel fees compared to the phone line 407 w-disney. ?? Not sure if that is still the policy's. Anyway, scored! Got CR tower mkv for august. Who knows maybe it was my email to wdw about cr's discounts. But, it was quite a good deal. [also only room available on the discount @ CR]. I think it helps that august, is a much more reasonable season.

Tomar, I think there will be AP rates, I just think they are going back to making us wait for them.

JMouse, doesn't sound like you are that far from me. EE22 is in iowa [as is minnie, I think] & candi is in Canada [windsor] outside of detroit michigan. The T's {tomar & tp2} are east coasters. Hope your feeling better soon.

nah chi is about 5 hours away not too bad. but technically im an east coaster, born and raised New yorker...

mky...I'm so out of it...I didn't even put two and two together for August and the discountwow...that is BAD of me. I am glad you were able to snag something otherwise I would have felt bad! I kept thinking it was next August...but that was last year and when it was next August for TP2I am not sure I even understand why I was confused now because that just sounds so strange, but I know that's what I was thinking!!

I hope the landing gear don't trim your roof!!
I am not really sure how to plan which night at which park at DL...for the WOC and Fantasmic...it's so odd from WDW. I know I call 60 days out for dining and then 30 for Fantasmic. Wish it fell on the weekend in May, but it doesn't. May is NUTS at work! just nuts

Your just gonna have to join another board, and meet "california friends" since none of us are useful. My last trip to DL was in 95 and it was 1 day we ate at casey's for hot dog and got on 1 ride. I reminded me of foriegn tourist at wdw. Totally clueless. They don't even have 47 books at barnes and nobles on DL????? There is 1. And it is the official guide to dl. We know, how useful the dw version is.

And yes, there have been times I think I could see faces on a midway flight when its cloudy and they are super low. Vader even looks up at them, not sure what he is thinking. Hmmmmmmmm, that is a big noisy bird.

JMouse, Well we think we are a south suburb of chicago, but chicago thinks this is the sticks of central illinois. We are at the cross roads of I80 & 55. Your closer to WDW than I am thou.
