MKY- Welcome Home !!
Just loved your TR...not too long at all !!....Im so sorry for your Poly issues, especially when it takes away your precious time in the world !....We had a similar situation (with accommodations ) this past summer moving from a Studio villa, to the one bedroom at the BW. We had a split stay (DVC Points and CRO cash ressie the week with the little Prince and Princess ) , and honestly when we checked in (before the kids came) we were told that our villa wasn`t ready, but then...we were told that we would have to change villas MID WEEK, because of the ressies being different....OMG .....#1- we were together with the whole family with a gazillion peices of luggage ...#2-I repeatedly went to the front desk the week prior to the kids`arrival, to "make sure" that we weren`t going to have to move ,and was told that we would only have to change keys....and #3- I was "SICK"...no one was moving me at that point !!
After asking for the manager (and him going into the back room a couple of times )....we were finally assured that we wouldn`t have to move again (and that took most of the morning )....but I have to say that the staff of the BW was very gracious in sending us cupcakes and goodies for the kids as a gesture for the trouble we went through.
Ditto on what EE22 said about Food and Wine...."No thanks"... I just can`t see how folks find getting drunk at WDW, a fun thing to do
For the life of me, I can`t imagine people getting up with a hangover at WDW, and sitting at a loud character breakfast the next morning !!
Can`t wait to try Via Napoli next trip.....glad you guys enjoyed dining there...never tryed Yak and Yetti due to food issues with DH
So sorry about your dad ...Im sure he missed his girls very much ! I think the older the folks get, they seem to fear not having their family near them all the time

MKY: Glad you had a great trip. Sorry about the Poly issues. Seems to be the same way for us on checkin day. That is why a split stay is never even an option in my book. Way too much work. They always make us check in again when we have had more than one resveration and never guarantee the same room, but it always works that we get to stay.

So what are Bugs allergies? Just found out yesterday that DD6 is no longer allergic to eggs but is allergic to wheat. Explains a lot but also stinks. I have tons of homework to do now. This kid lives on pasta, not sure what we are going to do now.

Evening all,

Tomar, We tried epcot, about 4 different days, and and each day was the same thing. Sat. by far the worse. Weekend's where party central. I would not want to waste precious vacation time, drunk, or with a hang over either. walk around 80+ weather, with a headache???

I would of went back to the front desk too, which was my next move, but wanted to see if the bellmen could help. Probablem is that poly is so spread out, and a good walk from the tahiti buildings. I just refuse to pay the enormous difference in room $$$ from LV to MKV if your not getting it. Not sure, who they outsourced their phone system to, but it is terrible. You try to call anywhere you get people totally out of the loop. And you can tell, that they really don't know. And don't know how to handle it. I tried to make a wake up call at 8:10am once, and since it wasn't on the hour it went to the "call center". And she took 10 minutes to do it. You can tell they are not from there when they say " your at the Polynesian resort?" ... and asking room number and info. Truely ridiculous. I hear you, not fair to make you change cause of different kind of ressie. Especially since your dvc. You should get some special privilages. Just doesn't seem like they take care of their guest the way they used to. Must be cut backs. My 3 share's of disney stock > maybe I need to start voting them.
Via Napoli is totally the difference of Italy. Very informal, relaxed. More family orientated.

TP2, she is allergic to most antibiotic's, and alot of the enviorment, but seriously allergic to chocolate. White, milk, or dark. Only in the last few years too. Prior she ate alot of it. She had a bad reaction to antibiotic's, about 3 different ones, then she broke out in hives and kept the hives for a few months could not get rid of them. Then she noticed it happened with a hot chochlate at work, or candy. MD said the antibiotic reactions changed her "chemistry" and this is the aftermath. Now, she carries an epi pen.

MKY- ...I hear ya on the front desk calls....I did ask one cm (while I was still home, (but wanted to note my ressie, that we had sent a package down to the BW), if she was actually "AT" the Boardwalk. The answer was "No". When you call the front desk, you get a universal connection to all of the resorts at WDW.....if the cm that answers the call, deems your question worthy to actually talking to the front desk of your resort, they will ask you to hold on, and connect you to them....Hense, I make it my business to trapse down and talk to them in person most of the time, when we are there. I know that at the poly it is "an adventure" to get to the front desk , and, I don`t blame you guys for wanting the view that you paid for, so at the end of the day, I beleive speaking to someone "in Person" , is the only way to deal with a situation...I know for us, it was) ...

TP2- DS#1 was allergic to Wheat when he was small....I had to read alot in the supermarket...Alot of Cereal, Cookies, Cake, and Pasta has wheat flour in it. Im sorry that DD has another allergy

EE22- Hope all is going well with DL11 at her College visit !!

WOW end of October already. Fall is in full bloom here. Cold, wet, and windy. The wind has been crazy and non stop. The leaves are all almost gone. The kids are gonna have to wear there coats with costumes this year. Not at all like MNSSHP, some costumes [the ladies, or young adults] had on where a bit risky. I could not count the "sexy" snow whites, cinderella's, alice's, tinkerbelle's, witch's ....... we saw. I was surprised they let them wear them.

We are still mulling over where to stay in March. Holding my breath for ap rates. That would be a nice present.

Life has been busy. I can't believe how much I missed.

Happy Birthday TP2.

MKY - I am glad you had a good trip but sorry to hear about the trouble with the rooms.

Well, I am looking for work again. The other job did not work out as planned and I finished there the end of October.

We are still planning on taking the Disney cruise in March. I have the money put aside so we might as well.

The fall has settled on us again this week. It was really nice the last couple of weeks but has turned cold again.

Now that I am getting caught up on doctors appointments and such I will probably be on here a bit more again.

Good Morning Ladies
well....it is finally starting to show signs of what`s to come for the next few months here...( cold in New Jersey today)....and the leaves are all over the ground....I wuold say it looks extremely pretty, except, it reminds me of things to come, that I really rather not talk about ....(like.....winter !).....lol
Anyway, we are all ready for the little trick or treaters tomorrow....Mr. Tomar and I made 130 bags of candy !...Can you imagine?!...We live in a very active development (alot of children)...and since Halloween falls on a Sunday....we wanted to be prepared....

Candi- I am so sorry about your job....Pixie dust for finding another one real soon !!

EE22- Hoping that you are feeling better !....and that DS and DL11 are starting to enjoy whats to come in college life !!

hiya everyone!

Look out chicago area has a snow warning this weekend. We already have some flu people at work. This is gonna be a bad winter. It is really depressing coming home from wdw with everything green and in bloom, and here brown, bare, and cold. Ugh. Might have to re-think October next year. We have been thinking next year trip [after march] Late aug, sept or oct. Bug, does not want to go nov or dec. too close to xmas. And too much to do here. Sept is sooooooo much cheaper than oct. and I don't want to get burned out on oct. festivities. But. rain and hurricanes are higher in late aug and sept. Money might win out thou, if march prices don't get bettter. We where also staying out of sept due to free dining, but now, that is year round and not just sept. Ugh, and we are still looking for a resort for march. I need an ap rate. Think, I need a husband to start making decisions around here.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Still cating up on stuff here. And work is crazy busy. Vader, is still acting out cause we where gone. He is too big to not cooperate. Anyone want to borrow a watch dog?
He has totally figured out my baby gate, and knocks it over at will.

Been so crazy busy here. Halloween, DD almost 12 birthday on tomorrow, DD almost 10 birthday next Sunday, Thanksgiving, school, babysitting.... Christmas is going to be here and gone before I blink. It is all good though.

MKY: You could have worse problems...nice to have such a big worry being your next trip.

Sully was bad after this summer too. I was ready to ship him out. Got a training collar instead.

about a husband. Like my DH ever helps with plans...he comes in at the final hour and it's total nonsense!!

My DM says her cat even acts out when they are gone! Too funny. She will ask to go outside about 25 times in an hour once they get back. It drives her nuts. Can't imagine with a dog!

Things are so busy here with everything that's going on.

We were to have snow last Thursday, but it never happened. Last year it snowed the 2nd week in October! It's cold though...down into the mid 20's at night. Snow weather that's for sure.

Sorry I haven`t been posting much....our younger DS was in a car accident out in Vegas, and has a concussion which Thank God is ok according to the CT Scan...but know he has post concussion syndrome and needs time to get better before he can fly home....we were worryed sick for a week already...but God is good, and I can now write that his headaches are subsiding
Busy here too with Thanksgiving upon us ...Christmas shopping for the little Prince and Princess, so they can open thier gifts at Gramma and grampa`s house while they are with us !!

MKY- I was feeling as TP2, thinking you finally got a wonderful PIN..then I read further on ...LOL ....Not my kind of Pin code either Im afraid !

EE22-Same here with my DH....I just have to tell him what time the limo is going to pick us up the day we leave for the world...other wise he plans.....................NADA....lol !!
