Tomar: I actually got to stay concierge at YC when I worked. While planning conventions I got to visit several times because of all the planning that went on. I was always considered a "VIP":lmao:. While having the room with refreshments open was very nice, it was hard for me to find times that I was free and it was available. And the concierge was VERY snooty!:snooty: I remember asking (of course we had no idea that you need ADR's) for a reservation for my staff during our 2 week stay. I can't remember where we wanted to eat but it was not in a park. She looked at me like I had 10 heads and just chuckled. Did not try to help in anyway. In my mind, she had 2 full weeks to book this reservation, she could not get us in anywhere??? Isn't that what concierge service is for? Of course I did not know that you had to book so far out I thought no one stayed on site for 2 weeks so we would be good. Figured most people would just make reservations the day of.:headache: Who knew?:rolleyes1

Hi TP2 :goodvibes
Thank you too, so much for your input about conceirge level stays....as I said..I was just reading up on it ...and hoping for a HUGE room only discount...that would be the only way Id be able to do it...but from what I am hearing from you guys and what I am reading......the IPO (Itinerary Planning Person) is supposed to be the one that makes your ADR`s....I do that at the 180 day mark anyway...so NO NEED for any help there. The convienience of what they put out for breakfast will only be what we would be going to use...(Mr. Tomar has Diabetes ,so no use after whole wheat bread in the morning for him anyhow :upsidedow)....We stood at the grand for our 25th anniversary for 10 nights, and adored the morning room service for breakfast , with NO club level service either...so I could live without it....it was just a thought :flower3:

TP...did you see what I posted about the new themeing for next year ?
Your 3 beautiful Princesses would look soooo cute on one of the pictures too !!
Take a look !...I know you have some beautiful Pictures stored away that you could submit of them !! :flower3:

8 days!!!!!

Tomar, for the BC upgrade. The room was nice, and the secured floor is nice. We where all set with adr's and really didn't ask for anything. Think we took a couple of "cokes" and that was it.
I was upset with the "concerige" cause: I lost my wonderland card. We ate at Japan for dinner and then I could not find it. I found this out back at the BC. So went down and talked to the 2 ladies, asking if they could call Japan or epcot to see if it was turned in.. .. .. and they looked at me with crazy eyes. They said: we can't do anything for you..... . and then told me to call the operator and see if I could call the wonderland people about a new card, or epcot to see if it was turned in. By time I got numbers, they where closing and said to call back tommorrow. The next day: we went to mgm and stopped in "guest services" they helped me immediately and gave me a replacement card. STAT. ?????? Soooooooooooooooooo glad I wasn't paying for the BC services. And I think I took an extra coke that nite. ;) I've always been passive aggressive.
At the FABULOUS poly conceirge, we came back to our room to find the slidy thing [lock] for the door closed and unable to get into our room??? So I went to the desk and reported it. Again, looked at like I had 10 heads?? and told HUH? She followed us back down and found the door locked as we said > and then said "i guess I can call security or maintaneous to open it". HUH??? I guess. ???:rolleyes1 After sitting in the hall for an hour > they came and said the mousekeepers slam the door and sometimes this happens.
So NO I am not impressed with the track record of concerige.
The food is snacks at best. and times are extremely limited.
We also stayed at hard rock hotel concerige. Saw the travel channel special and it looked great. Our "snack" was a bag of oreo's ripped open.:rotfl:I kid you not.
Now, I have always wondered about the BW's. they say it is the best. But, am not sure if I believe them any more. popcorn::
mky:cutie:

MKY :cutie:- YIKES.. about loosing the TIW card and the nasty conceirge cms !:headache:...Im so sorry that happened to you :sad2:....Sounds like they all have Un-disney like attitudes
About the room security thingy- that exact same thing happened to us at the BW a couple of years ago....Mr. Tomar and I came back from the pool,. and low and behold the door was ajar...like it was left OPEN with only that clip holding it ajar....we were actually mortified !!:scared1:....we called down and had someone come up and look at the situation, it was as if we left the room open for anyone to come in and help themselves !! YIKES ! they told us that someone had called mousekeeping for a blanket...but the blanket was delivered to our room by mistake and the cm that brought it ...left the door open ! WHA ???....The front desk apologized, and sent us a beautiful goodie basket to ease our pain....;) (Thank Goodness nothing was taken from the room, or the basket wasn`t going to cut it !)
I am the one that checks and double checks the doors and locks all the time...and to come back to the room to that...I could just imagine how you guys felt...we`ve been there !:scared1:
I did read that the "Inkeepers club at the Boardwalk" is the best Club level on property too..BUT..It won`t be an issue for me if a WHOPPER of a room discount doesn`t miraculusly appear,:rotfl:.. if it doesn`t... we will be staying in a regular discounted room !! LOL :goodvibes
8 more days until Disney Halloweenie !!! WHOO HOO !!party:party:

5 days!!

:scared1: I better get busyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy:eek:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Looks like the east coast got soaked, sorry.

mky:cutie:

2 weeks from today we will be in the MK at the MNSSHP

We are booked at my fave resort - WL CY view :cloud9: Can't wait for DF to see why I love WDW so much

Tomar: Did you ever think of taking Spirit out of Atlantic City? Someone that lives by me got flights for $19 each way. Of course we have a 4 hour drive to get there but she felt it was worth it. I checked and it was not that cheap but if you watch it you can get a great deal. I guess like SW. I looked into it but DH would want to make a pit stop in Casinos before we left if he were that close.:headache: Not a good way to start a Disney trip if you ask me.:goodvibes

TP2-LOL about your hubby....can you imagine....we live only 1 hour away from AC, and we rarely go there....(Id rather save my money for my Disney trips :goodvibes)...Thank you so much for thinking of me  its funny that you are mentioning the great deal that Spirit is giving...I was actually looking into it for the little Prince`s birthday....40 bucks ,back and forth to South Carolina is a gazillion times better than driving for 14 hours in the car !....Our DS and DIL used Spirit, when the Perfectly Princess was born to come up to New Jersey for the Christening ...they were happy with the airline too...they said it was very accommodating with the baby......we went down to pick them up at the AC airport....it was GREAT...small airport, and very NON-hectic:angel: ...(as Newark usually is:headache:).....Id book them for Disney in a heartbeat...except, I don`t know any specific dates yet...when we do, I will hope the 19.00 fare is still going to be running....with my luck though, probably not ....Do you know if they fly into MCO ?...We normally use Continental, since we belong to the frequent flyer club, and sometimes get one free ticket (not for flying so much, as we get frequent flyer miles for shopping in Shoprite supermarket, and other places that offer them) ..but since last year, the rules for the free travel have changed drastically, and so, we aready knew we were going to use another carrier for this coming summer...mabe Jet Blue, but since I heard about the Spirit deal...Id really Love it !! :littleangel:

MKY :cutie: Bug, and Minnie !!!
HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP !!:yay::woohoo::yay:...SAFE TRAVELS !!
CAN`T WAIT TO HEAR ALL ABOUT HALLOWEEN AT DISNEY !!:hmghost::sulley::maleficen:ccat:

Tomar: I am the same way with AC. We went this summer with a bunch of people and I keep making fun of DH. I was playing penny slots and he was playing Black Jack at a table with minimum hands of $15. Well, I keep getting offers for free rooms. I think that is hysterical. I won and was able to play for a long time. I guess that has something to do with it. Plus when playing penny slots, you can go for a lot longer.:rotfl:

I was not even thinking of going to your sons house but I agree that the $40 round trip sure beats driving 14 hours. I would even do that if there was ever a time again when everyone would be there and we did not have a trip planned. I could just take one of those super cheap flights and stay value for 1 or 2 nights.

MKY: You must be leaving any second.:yay: I would love to get out of here but I guess I still need to wait a bit longer. Just another 10 months for me! Happy we have a trip planned.

Question for you MKY, with pediatric asthma patients, do you ever see them get larengitis(I know I spelt that wrong)? DD6 lost her voice but in all other areas seems fine. Her eyes are a mess of course and this is a huge allergy season right now with rain and weather getting cold. I have her home 2 days now but feel she should get back to school. No red in her throat, no swollen glands, and no fever.

If you read back a about last weekend? I had laryngitis myself from my asthma. And yes, its been a terrible asthma season. Still waiting for the 1st frost here to kill off ragweed. But, then you have to deal with mold from the furnace coming on. :rolleyes1 It took about 3 days before I could talk fairly normal, but still get squeeky and deep when I need a treatment. :confused3 So, it last quite a while. And yes, I am still coughing, and mucousy. :scared1:

2days to goooooooooooooo!!:wizard::wizard:
But, technically, on vacation right now. Bug works tommorrow & we get in the limo friday @ 4am cst. :yay:

Tomar, we are like you. We have 2 large casino's in town here and I 've been once this year. [for about an hour]. :rotfl:
mky:wizard:

Add me to the list of folks with Laryngitis this year:rolleyes1...TWICE! ....ick !

MKY :cutie:- LOL....Yep....Uncle Walt, is the only person that I Gladly give away my money to !!

:mickeyjum:hmghost::sulley::ccat:HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME !!! ENJOY HALLOWEEN IN THE WORLD MKY AND BUG !!!:sulley::dumbo::donald::ccat:

Thanks MKY and Tomar: Hit the doc today because she was crying from the pain. Her throat is clear, not red or anything. She is worst in the morning and then better by late morning/early afternoon. I am happy to hear that she is not the only one. Is it commen or is this year just that bad? Doc wants her home rest of the week because there are too many kids in school that are sick and she is already weakened. She does not want a repeat of last year, and neither do I so she is home still. But a full week out on the third week of school is not good at all. Hopefully the rest of the year will be better.

MKY and Bug: After this week I am running to AC for a flight and crashing your trip! I am ready for a vacation.:goodvibes Hope you guys have a wonderful time and have fun at the Halloween Party. What are you guys dressing as?

TP2 - Hope your DD feels better soon :wizard::wizard::wizard:

MKY - Just a couple more days to go! Have a great time

1 day to goooooooo:ccat:

tp2, I remember telling bug, with my voice. That I actually felt better and that it wasn't like a sore throat. But a feeling of fullness in my neck. Hope that makes sense. Bring DD with you when you hop that plane. Maybe weather in florida will clear her up? I am hoping for the same. ;)

Tomar, meet tp2 at the airport. :thumbsup2

We are not bringing costumes to wdw. Just pain to wear halloween shirts, and draw a "mickey" on my face maybe?? We have dressed in past but bringing that stuff down is an issue. Also, I felt kinda funny when we did it, without kids you kinda stick out. Also, you don't know if its hot or cold > which thing to wear???? Just a big hassel. In the past we have worn: minnie, tinker, pooh & eeyore, cruella, convicts, and nurse outfits. I can't count the number of people that said: "your a real rn aren't you?" Guess it showed, to authenic. :rolleyes1 Last year we just did shirts fine and that was good. We usually do not wait in trick or treat lines anyway,. Don't want to lug that around all nite.

Well getting time for SW window so that is why I am on. We did early birds but I still think you do better early. But, that could just be me.

Will have internet phone with me so will keep in touch. Have a great couple of weeks.

mky:cutie:

MKY: I completely understand what you mean. She kept holding her neck but her throat was clear and normal to look at. I am actually pretty good at checking that now. I can say sick, stay home, or allergies, head to school.:woohoo: Today is a beautiful sunny day and she feels great. So it goes to show that the weather has tons to do with it.

How long are you guys staying this time? Talk in a few weeks seems like you have a nice extended trip planned. I may hop in that luggage just yet!:rotfl:

Hope you have a wonderful trip. And I have to say that I had a whole huge suitcase filled with princess stuff last trip so I get not wanting to bring costumes. Plus they are not comfortable to wear so you need to change your clothes. More lugging of stuff. I don't think we are going to do the princess thing next summer either. I did buy some cute things that look like Minnie, red with white polka dots and stuff, but not costumes.
