June, July, August PLANNING thread

I usually go to Disney World for the last week of August. But since my family now has a time share, we are going for two weeks instead. We are staying at Kidani Village for 7 days and the new Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary. I am really excited for my upcoming trip. If anyone has reviews on Bay Lake Tower, please keep me updated

SG101, no one on this thread has really any experience on BLT. Have stayed at CR, but not bay lake. Sorry. I would read the rate and reviews on Deb's site: www.allearsnet.com Have a great trip. EE22 just getting back from kidani thou.

DH and I missed Disney so much we went to Sorcerer's Apprentice. We both really liked it.

Oh my goodness, my trip is coming up FAST!!

We'll be heading the same time as you will be!

We'll be staying 1 night at the POP, then 6 nights at the POP with Free dining and finishing off with 3 days at the Old Key West!

I'm thinking of upgrading our first day's reservation to the Beach Club. We get in at 2pm from the airport and will most likely make it to WDW around 3:30pm. Is it worth the upgrade?

Hi EE22 - Disneyland sounds like fun. I am not sure what we are going to do next year after our trip in March on the Magic.

MKY -I hope your head felt better shortly after you posted.

We are back from Denver and had a great time. I was looking at our points and I think I am going to rent some out since we won't use all of them this year...not enough vacation time....

Sitting at mco, texting. We don't want to come home. Sad!
July is just way too hot & crowded. No real issues with the teenage groups except on space mt. Someone spit into air and landed on me during ride. Ugh! That was a gross start.
Our view was great cr was nice. Mousekeeping is definately lacking & slow. We rented a dodge caliber with 2 miles on it. That was nice. Worst meal garden grille. Characters great chef and cms not so much. Best meal cindy's dinner. Could not of been nicer. Southwest good, kinda missed free dining could not get into fast food places at all. Mgm was the most crowded.
Missed seeing maria and tony, hope she is feeling better and able to have a great trip with her family

Hi Everyone: Made it back from the beach and hit Hershey Park. Boy am I spoiled by Disney! Disney ruins any other amusement park for you. Nothing is as nice or shows as good. Hershey is fine though if anyone is thinking of going. Lots of coasters. DD11 wanted to do all 11. We made it to 6.

Hope everyone had a wonderful trip. Starting to plan for 2011. Looks like POR in August and hoping for free dining.

MKY: Have a safe flight. We had terrible weather here too. Mini tornados hit around here.

We had golfball sized hail last night. I will have to look at the house when it gets lighter outside. YUCK. Stormed all night.

mky: I think you were right about people moving inland to WDW becasue of the oil and I think perhaps Harry Potter might be doing it too. Who knows. It was much hotter than last summer and the crowds were like Christmasnever have I seen it like that before.

I think Tomar comes home Sunday.

Hiya everyone

Wow, I am exhausted and supposed to work tommorrow. Might be easier to return on a sunday. Its usually a bit slower. No big shots roaming around. Easier to catch up. Hoping. anyway. Hmmmm Maybe they are low, and gonna cancel me? ?

We have done alot since getting home friday. House is pretty caught up now. Bug, is done with laundry. And Vader is thrilled we have returned. Bug, cooked a big dinner tonight. Think, they are happy we are home.

I am pre- packing for october. since we are keeping the suitcases down. I left some of our stuff in the suitcases. Also, my mickey socks, special shirts for vacation etc. is all getting put somewhere special so it won't be hard to locate everything. That, or I am totally lazy and don't want to look for it.
It was sad coming home so soon but, knowing we are going back for a long trip soon. is wonderful.

Minnie, so sad to hear you where hospitalized. Hope things are getting better. Take it easy. Get some rest.

EE22, School is fastly approaching. Is DS ready?? & DD getting ready to be a senior. Hang in there. It's gonna be a bumpy couple of months for you & them.

TP2, Glad you had a great trip! Trust me, wdw was wayyyyyyyyy toooooooooo hottttttttttttt!!!! and definately crowded. It will be all the more special next summer for you. We are fans of PO-RS. Any questions I am your gal. The beach sounded like a wonderful idea in hindsight. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Candi, Glad you had a great time in the mountains! It looks like you had the best weather. We still haven't made a decision on march. Your cruise sounds nice.

MKY - glad you are able to go back so soon. I can't wait till our cruise in March but if these kids don't stop fighting, I am leaving them at home with Grumpy Grandpa! That will teach them!

Yes, we had nice weather. It was 70-80 during the day and then 50-60 at night in the mountains.

Minnie: I so hope you being sick did not interfere with the trip. Glad you are doing better. We can be healthy all year and the week before always seems to be when we get sick.

MKY: I am still having a hard time getting everything together and we leave again in the morning. We are hitting Atlantic City and then Great Adventure. We are slumming it this year!

EE22: You are getting ready to head back. So much going on with you. Hope the ride goes smoothly, if that is possible.

Hiya everyone,

Weird, after a couple of days, you don't even feel like you where away. I am thinking, I should just retire. Maybe, we all should.

Seems like the summer is flying by. And getting really done with this heat. It is humid now too, which is making it all worse. Chicago had floods this week with our rain. Suppose to rain tonight too. Glad I am off this weekend coming up. 2 more days to go.

Stores are all decked out with "back to school" stuff. You guys ready yet??
