in just about an hour, we will be leaving for Universal. our hotel has a shuttle for it.. so its perfect. no wasting gas..lol I already told Dee that we both need to have a butter beer for my friends on the disboards! so that we will do..i cant wait!! so damn excited for everything.. seeing all of Universal this time.. lol.. and going back to disney. even if the disney is just a day, we will be going for 2 weeks next year, so this is basically a teaser for the fun of next year..

i was telling Dee we would be staying at a resort next year, she started freaking about the price, i told her its well worth the extra money. what with the great service at the resorts and the extras with the arks.. extra magic hours, free transportation..etc..

despite being at my happy place.. i was still stressed, first day at Universal, i lost my phone... ive had a phone for over 10 years and never once lost one or broke one. so ive been freaking out over that... i know exactly where i lost it too, that just makes it worse. i checked back everyday to the lost and found, and the show itself, and no one turned in anything.. i was walking into the theater for Shrek 4D, i took out my phone to turn off the sound for the show, so it wouldnt go off during it, trying to be nice. put it back into my pocket.. show show show, got up turned in glasses, and was in the giftshop, reached back into my pocket.. and it wasnt there.. so somewhere in that theater is where it is/was... is there anyway i can find the number for the lost and found anywhere? i would rather not have to spend $100 to get a new one, and try to get all my numbers back..

other than that it was a good trip..i loved the hotel we were at. The best western Plus on Universal Blvd.. pool, jacuzzis, and a group of hot aussie guys up on the 7th floor!! lol
my daddy would be so proud.. i went on every rollercoaster!

we only were able to do one disney park, it was Hollywood Studios, so great.. i miss disney so much!! rode rock n roller coast 3x..

and i dont care what anyone else says.. i LOVED beetlejucie's graveyard revue!! not only 2 hot guys, and the songs were fun.. great show!​

I am busy trying to plan our Universal trip next March. I am finding it more expensive since they don't pick you up at the airport and they charge for parking!

I would like to plan another big group trip for the following year. I think it would be a lot of fun to go with our DS and his bride and some of her family! I really like her dad and her step mom....she is a lot like me only more talented with CAKE! Boy of Boy can she make a killer cake!

Candi...one thing cheaper at Universal is the food on City Walk compared to Disney. I suppose it depends on where you normally eat at WDW, but sometimes the entire family would eat for the price of one buffet at Disney.

Is City Walk a specific restaurant? I am thinking about getting the meal plan. Have you done that before?

No, City Walk is like DTD and there are several places to eat and shop along City Walk. Hard Rock is there...NBA City which we liked a lot...Panda Express I believe...I cannot remember all the places to eat...many are chains. I am sure you could find a list.

We have not done the meal plan before.

Hiya everyone,

Candi, well I know, I cannot help > didn't even know they did a dinning plan. We stayed at HRH once and the room was very small.
We did stay at Portofino bay and it is lovely. Huge room with giant bathroom. Think it was a "delux" category room. Very very nice. We had an entertainment book discount. Think they also do a AAA one too??

EE22, it was beauitful here [and some fronst too] and the Bears won. Woohoo. Now, if that mold count would start dropping. Hope your feeling better.

JMouse, have a great time. Sorry about your phone. Did you call your number and see who answers? That could drive them crazy for taking it. Becareful driving back

mky: DH will be completely bummed out about not seeing the Bears win. He is a huge fan. He had to put weather proofing on the deck...it pealed off for some reason on the flat surface which is good as the sides, etc would have been even worse. He said on Thursday it would take him 20 minutesI didn't say a peep. 2 hours was the final time today.

Glad the boys are doing well.

Weather was sunny here and a pretty day, but a bit chilly still today with the wind.

I know seriously!!!!! Wow forecast for a low of 36 tonight and a high of 75 tomorrow??? That sounds so crazy!

For any Bears fans.... I found a NFL Mickey Mouse at Scheels (sporting goods store in our area). He has on a Bears jersey and holds an small blanket that has Mickey in a quarterback Bears outfit in several positions. Bears win = great day!!!

the phone was deactivated.. and besides i had it on vibrte, so it wouldnt go off during the show.. what im thinking is that it fell underneath the seat.. u know how the shrek show.. the chairs moving around.. i think it fell underneath

thursday i get to pay $100 for a new one, i could have waited 3 months and got it for free on an ungrade.. but i cant go that long without a phone.. 2 weeks is killing me

Been in excessive planning mode. Helping a good friend plan granddaughters bday at wdw. In January and she waited toooooooooooooo long to do it. She wanted 2 br villa BLT and not happening. Any ideas from our resident dvc people???? She did get BCV 2 br, that is a great option but GD only 4 and wanted to be near MK. WLV not cutting it.

JMouse, are you home yet?? Drive safe. Remember you are always more tired coming home than going. Hope you had a great time.

EE22, Weather is holding. I bought a chip and dale halloween costumes are humphrey and I > hoping they fit?? Would be great for 2013. Found them on www.costumeideas.com If anyone interested look under disney they have a lot of stuff I haven't seen before. We wanted something linking us togther and not boy / girl.

Well hope everyone enjoys there thursday, it is beauitful here. Boys go to Vet tonight I will weigh them and report back. Send that pixie dust.

mky: Not sure what to tell you on the villas. I think BLT sells out fast...not 100% sure. I think studios go first and then 2br as well. DVC people plan way far ahead too. If she is going through CRO too they don't always have rooms for cash through CRO.

Only suggestion I'd have is to rent points, but I'm not sure that would even help at this point. It's very close to Jan. There's a lot going on in Jan with the marathon too...think 25th anniversary. Not sure of their timeframe. I think BoG even sold out for parts of Jan even. But, counterservice is available.

We had a cold start to the week, but it's been nice since then. Broke all sorts of records Monday morning

EE22, thanks that is what I thought too. I know she waited too long. But, she finally got her crew to all settle on dates.
I like the BCV and they have always stayed at YC, so I think it will be the best idea unless something opens up. I always wanted to try BCV. I did read somethings on it being in need of updating > but WDW resorts are all so used [almost every day sold outs] that could be in any resort.
They will be spending alot of time in the parks, with the exception of GD nap, due to the shortened hours. Not sure how the weather will be that time of year either.

The boys did NOT behave well at all. German shepherds are talkers. And these two togther, OMG. Actually there weights only went up very minimal. So our vet is calling tommorrow, she wanted to research ideas for feedings. In the meantime I have uped there food. We did restart there meds again to. At least these meds are considerable less in price.

Sorry the boys were talking too much. Glad these new meds are lower in cost for you. I saw on the news about adopting a dog that was fed the same way with the special chair. I think the same kind of pup too as the boys. I don't know much about dogs. Keep us posted.

I looked into prices for rooms for MNSSHP...lots for just a weekend and I looked at values. I know ap rates come out, but not till August. I don't think the new AoM has any ap rates either. Will have to figure out how much it will be. A lot for only a few days. We'd have tickets already, but pricey for a trip down for the weekend. It didn't think it was too bad until the cm read back the dates and it was all weekdays which of course the weekends are more expensive.

EE22, boys had a few rough days, but things are settling again. Vet wanted to try off meds and we didn't fly. So had to get them back to were we where. That is soooooooooooo weird that you saw this dog problem / feeding box on your news. Wow. I don't think it is as rare as they think it is. We would offer to take the pup, but busy with 2 already.

Your right about the $$$$ october >> I see port orleans in my future. If not POP. We are going to economize for april and june if we go both times. And then only for about a week each.
Oct 2013 > hoping to try and stay at CR but we will see. Oct. is high season and very expensive.

Okay, I admit > resort snob. [or at least in the making] {{ but we always eat at least once at pors, & pop }} Now, I have a question if we stay here I know Owners locker will deliever box there but do they have bell services? and do they deliever to your room?? I would hate to have to lift both our boxes OMG.

Now, I did look at the princess rooms and they are in the 2 buildings at pors that we prefer. So would try to get that. They really do look nice.

Well lets all hope 2013 is good for discounts.
