mky...I thought Candi left Saturday as well. See, I told ya I couldn't keep track of anything!! I know you won't read this, but have a great time Candi!!

DDE: I did not pre order the card. I tried to on June 10th to get the July 09 expiration and they would not send it to me. I went to the International Gateway and bought it. Took 2 minutes. It's a paper one like the ap is now, but I didn't care. I bought it on the 27th and they gave me till July 09 which made me happy:goodvibes

Remember they add the 18% tip with DDE now too. I drew a line through the tip line to make sure. Still burns me that we paid "holiday" prices for the entire trip since June was a holiday. Give me a BREAK!! Someone has to pay for free dining I guess in August!

You did plan those ap right! I'm impressed.

I guess you are tied to work vacations as well as us.

We did not do Yak and Yeti. Heard it's good. We did the new Tusker House which was good and also the Grand dinner is very good food and the characters are hilarious!!

I wouldn't venture too far from Disney when you are there. It's not nice around that area outside of WDW. That's why Disney is getting rid of the clubs at DTD and paid parking will probably start too. That's a rumor still. They have been having some issues. Insider info there. DS noticed cameras at the movies this time.

Hi everyone :goodvibes

We are back home already... time does really fly down there :sad2:

We had some wonderful new experiences and enjoyed the WL so much this time and except for a trip to ALK for DS's 16th birthday :scared1: next year it will likey be the one we pick each time :lovestruc

The much discussed "code" from the transportation board woked like a charm and we paid only $92 for the entire week :cool1: I do wonder how well it will work for those with later reservations as it has been discussed so much on all sorts of boards that it may not work.

Time to start on the piles of :laundy: but I'll try to check back later.

Hiya everyone!:cool1:

Welcome back minnie! Glad you had a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2 I know what you mean about the code, I am pretty sure I am not going to try it. With the insurance issues etc.. . :confused3 Not worth worrying about it everyday. How are things in your area? Dried out or drying out still? We are taking our nephew for a few meals at wl (and even fw x1;) ) thought it was more a boy place. No princesses. Glad you feel home at wl. it is a beauitful resort. How was the bus system? with fw or mk resorts? that was our only issue, we where there with fw and that drive through there is a long one.:upsidedow (but pretty):wizard:

EE22, I heard the same thing in december about dtd. Gang stuff:scared1: Are you talking pay parking there? or where? I actualy told bug the same thing today at dinner, I am not going to ride around outside disney looking for resturants etc.. . except the ones we already know;) or shopping areas> cause it is a big waste of time.
I found a pair of flip flops that are not too bad. Called "rocketdogs" they actually have some arch support and cushiony. More than your average flip flop price / but not bad> $20? got them at the "famous footwear" place at the mall. I won't wear them for a long period at a time, but nice for a while.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! MKY:cutie: Getting terribly excited about her countdown:wizard:

Hi Minnie...Welcome Home!! Our time went so fast at Disney. We cannot wait to get back!! Things here aren't so great with the flood. How about there?

I read a rumor somewhere...can't remember where now...maybe mouse planet about possible paid parking which would keep the crime down. I suppose it would work like other places that if you stay there you are okay or a voucher to buy something which would also work. All rumors at this point. But, my friends did say that the clubs were closing due to the problems with crime.

My MBTs were great!! I cannot wear flip flops at all, but they sound great. My foot issue is right where the big toe joins the rest of the foot and flip flops kill it. I really think I started the entire problem with flip flops. When I had my toe nail removed on my left foot, I couldn't wear closed shoes or even slip ons because it hit my toe:scared1: so I wore flip flops that summer and the next when I was still having issues with my toe and then I had the bone fracture in my right foot. What a mess.

Excited for MKY too:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I wore the flip flops today cause I got a blister on heel from a different pair of shoes not my mbt's. I am glad to hear they worked great. I will not wear the flip flops too much, don't want to push my luck.

I always wondered if the clubs made any money. we went a few times (not real late thou) and they where always empty. People love that adventures club and frankly we didn't get it.:confused3 kinda silly.:snooty:

mky

MKY - I don't know why some buses go the "back" route into FW and others go the long way around. It takes so much extra time. Some buses went to FW and others went to GF  We actually found both the buses and boats to be pretty good this time. Of course it can always be better but we've had worse ;)

EE22 & MKY - Thanks for asking about us :goodvibes The flood waters have gone down but DFs plant is still closed for we've heard a month or more so we really wonder if they will really reopen. DF doesn't know if he should look for something else or wait until they tell what if anything the severance may be :confused3 IMO I don't think it will be much knowing the company so we've had some "words" over this issue. I miss vacation ;)

I've started a dining report on the restaurant board if anyone is interested :goodvibes

Minnie: I hope things work out. Too much stress. I, too, hit reality way too fast when we returned home. We will have indirect effects in our schools. But, what can ya do:confused3

MKY: Heal that foot! I was glad I had moleskin this time for DD. She had some issues.

I hope the track meets are announced soon so we can plan next year's trip.:cheer2:

Okay...so I am planning for next year already:surfweb: trying to decide where to EAT!!

What are your favorite places?

By the way...I forgot to have a Mickey Bar...never had one yet. I'm always too full. I did have an awesome snack though at the Sleepy Hallow. An ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwich. YUMMY!!

DD had 3 itzakadozie. spelling?? no clue!

She also had a Dole Whip and really liked it. Too yellow for my allergies so we cut over to SH for my yummy cookie :woohoo:

Hiya everyone,

Minnie, Sorry about the plant, hopefully you will hear soon. :wizard: And good news?pixiedust: I will definately look for the review of dining.;) Yes, I love the back way into mk area.:woohoo: Big time saver.

EE22, I am glad DD loved the itkadoozie. I am not big on dole whips and sis hates them. She worked at a generic dairy queen in high school and pretty much dislikes any kind of soft serve or ice cream.:scared1: Not sure about dining. minnie is our most recent source but you where just there.:confused3 MK is defiantely lacking in dining and like epcot and dhs better. Will have to see how I liked the choices I made for this trip.

happy monday, mky:cutie:

Minnie, I found your thread very nice.:thumbsup2 I just cancelled my national car with the "rate" just not worth worrying about. So i got it over with. Also cancelled my avis backup. I will live with my national EA,
trying to organized our stuff tonight.

mky:cutie:

mky...forgot about her reviews:goodvibes . Sorry about the car rental. Can't wait to hear yours too and Tomar's. Not sure about Mouseaddicts. She was going to eat in at AKV.

Minnie...DD wants to do the KTTK Tour so I have that down for next year. I think we'll do that when the boys go over to US. What did you think? A friend did it and loved it.

Here's what I am thinking for next summer.
T Rex will be open.
GF Tea
Ohana for breakfast
CM for dinner
Kona for breakfast if we stay at the Poly for the start of our stay.

I think I forgot to mention that WEGOSHOP was awesome. We will use them again.

EE22 - How old is your DD? She needs to be at least 16 to do the KTTK Tour. Personally, I loved the tour but there as a 16 year-old on my tour that was way ready for it to be over;) When I get time I'll try to write a quick review that doesn't give away any suprises :goodvibes

mky:cutie:

EA is really hard to beat :cool1: I remember the long lines of earlier trips before we new how awesome it was. Now I will only rent from National or Alamo as it's worth a few extra $ to have that kind of service :goodvibes

Hey y'all!!! We're back! :grouphug:
We got in about 9:30/10:00 PM Sunday and had to unpack, wash, etc. and get to work early Monday AM. So ... we are tired...... but happy! :goodvibes

We had a fantastic trip! I took a ton of notes every day b/c I have sworn to write a full fledged trip report (for the 1st time)! I hope to get that started within a day or two .....:scared:

EE22 ---- THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We got the stuff with no problems and the Gatorade turned out to be a real life-saver (literally)! I had Cheerios again for b'fast this morning.

Everything was great ... we did make use of the kitchen for the first time and that worked out surprisingly well. :thumbsup2 Loved Boma! We had our 1st Mickey bar - yum - but I think I only took like 1 bite. :confused3

I only took 1,766 photos with our camera :rotfl: but we got the PhotoPass CD, so there are another 213 of those! We did the photo session at the Poly & those turned out wonderful!!! :cloud9: They were our first family pictures.

Okay - need to scoot .... I'll have to catch up with what I missed a bit later.

Any word from Tomar?
TP2 off to DC?
Candi at WDW?
MKY - started packing yet???

DD will be 16 next May so the timing is good. A good friend of mine has done it so I know all about it. She gave away the surprises too because I was trying to decide if we should go. We will for sure do it this time. Next summer too our friends could take us all places where others cannot go because DD has to be 16 to go to those places. Not sure I'm ready for that. They already take us on the back roads to places;)

Disney really does a great job of taking us away from the Real World!!

Mouseaddicts: Welcome Home. Sorry we didn't meet up, but I'm glad you used our leftovers so they didn't go to waste. I had milk and butter too but left those in the room because I didn't think bell services would keep them fresh. It was great having breakfast in the room. Next year I'm bringing bigger paper bowls and more plastic to eat with!!

Tomar comes home today. Happy Travels if that can happen on the way home:rolleyes:

MKY better be packed or at least thinking about it:rotfl:

EE22, I am a big fan of the tea. Aside from :snooty: staff cm's last summer cause of my boot. The tea itself is always a high lite and we do it a couple times. We are even dragging max.:scared1: Personally, not a big fan of kona. I know everyone loves it, but we always feel it is a pretty setting for ok food. I would rather do room service on my balcony at the poly. Ohana is fun, and nice to do once, breakfast is better than the dinners > but alot of kids, and noise. You have to be in the right frame of mind for a wild hour. Lots of stuff going on all at the same time. For a nice B<L<D we really prefer: GF cafe. It is a lovely room, elegant and girlie.:wizard:  Try to add that for the 2 of you.:thumbsup2 CM I don't think is ever a bad time. I do enjoy the american food.;) They had a turkey pot pie to die for last winter.:flower3: I am very curious of trex. = do you think it is just a rainforest with dino's? Wonder about the food.pirate:

mky:cutie: Getting anxious at 14 DAYS! :wizard: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba: :simba:

mky...getting close to single digits!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
I'm glad people are going this winter too...it will keep me in the mood.

What do you have at the Tea? I looked at the menu and was so confused, but two of my friends have done it and recommended it.

Since you are the Queen of the Poly...is there someplace like the Marketplace or Mara at the Poly or is Kona it?

I suppose we could do 1900 Park on that day too. Decisions.
The boys must have a good breakfast!! Lots to eat!
Never thought of room service :goodvibes
