Hiya everyone!

Got cancelled at work today, only 4 kids.:wizard: But on call.
Did alot of the extras last nite. rechecked our adr's, and think I want to add a couple of extras, as back up plans. Today want to call do the adr's and recheck our request for poly, cause nothing to ask for at CR. Set up my info in book I carry for vacation. Just all the info, and phone #'s, then placed our adrs' on cards. TIP: I use those tear out / spiral index cards, place the latest times, and then adr's and info on card then tear it out in am and take with us. Works great. You never know when you need the #.:rolleyes1

EE22, the tea, hmmmm. We have done it both ways. Just ordered the buckingham and got almost everything, or did it ala' carte. The 1st time I recommend one of the big teas, to try stuff out and decide what you like. Note: my fav. is the Grand floridian "own" tea blend. Very nice. And keep in mind for summer: all teas can be served iced, in case of heat. Which was just as wonderful. I have seen husbands and boys at the tea. Just in case. I especially like the finger sandwiches: and if there is one you don't like: watercress, egg salad, pear, chicken salad, ? think that it is. Try the pear, it is wonderful. I won't eat the watercress, and sis won't eat chx salad. They come with an onion tart, this is not ornamental, it is great and sweet. For desert: the 2 assorted mini pastries are over rated. They look very pretty but kinda bland. I like to try the "tea" ideas, pound cake, or strawberries & cream. As for dress, all kinds.:confused3 People from the park to ladies all dressed up with hats & dresses. Don't worry about it. As the tea has become more requested, the dress is more park like. Once in a while, you see a bridal party, or red hat ladies had a large group once with us,.... . All kinds of people or groups. The cm wait staff, are great. They are used to people asking lots of questions. The tea is served to the room, that is why there are "seatings". Everyone on same course pretty much. Seating is 2, 4, 6.

TOMAR!Welcome Back! Glad you had a great time. Can't wait for details. We missed you.

Mouseaddict's, :cheer2: :welcome: :cheer2: I am sorry, I missed your post. Glad you had a great time too. I bet the pictures from poly where great. What a wonderful idea. WOW, you got a lot of pictures. Sis is our camera man, and lacking, good but doesn't bother. And I am not allowed by it. Soooooooooooooooo, I asked for my own camera> for my bday. Think we are clebrating that early, while at home this weekend. I am in a big hurry to turn 49, for the 1st time. :scared1: :sad2:

Minnie, great dining thread.:surfweb: Yes, national is wonderful:thumbsup2

Wow, it is already wednesday! Leave 2 weeks from today!:mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum Mky getting way 2 excited for 2 weeks yet.

mky:cutie:

Just off the phone with disney. I love not going at free dining!:thumbsup2 Had no trouble adding a few adr's. Just wanted to add a few repeats in case we really like them, or miss them for some reason. Then checked my request @ resort.

I asked about AAA rates for 09' and not available yet.

Next going to TGM for any changes to his schedules. I still don't understand that site. Seems like some stuff is very dated and once you figure out his strategy > you can figure out the days he will pick.

Looks like I will do pretty much anything other than try on outfits and pack.:rotfl2:

We made some while we were there. The new dining plan has helped there as well.

Okay...so room service at the Poly is good.;) Did I ask about a quick service place. I've got planning on the brain, but you're my one stop Poly Gal:goodvibes

Thanks for the info on the Tea. I am not sure I'll remember next year:rotfl: I might have to select items with my allergies too. Not sure.

Hey y'all!!! We're back! :grouphug:

I only took 1,766 photos with our camera :rotfl: but we got the PhotoPass CD, so there are another 213 of those! We did the photo session at the Poly & those turned out wonderful!!! :cloud9: They were our first family pictures.

Okay - need to scoot .... I'll have to catch up with what I missed a bit later.

Any word from Tomar?
TP2 off to DC?
Candi at WDW?
MKY - started packing yet???
Mouseaddicts....your poly photopass pics sound wonderful !!! Glad you had a great time.....we need DETAILS now !! ;) :goodvibes

mky:cutie:

I agree, however, when I had to change plans at the drop of a hat last Jan. it was good to just go look at the site.

I wonder what he'll do about Toy Story at Studios?

Make sure you're there early mky, the fast passes go fast although maybe it won't be so busy since we were there near the 4th. Not sure.

I hate trying on outfits too.

mky:cutie:

Great idea!!
I only use these spiral notecard for geometry theorems:rotfl: your purpose is so much more fun.

hiya all!

ee22, theorems that is a term I have not heard in a long while.
Poly quick serve: is captain cook's. Hot food, and grab and go. It is open 24hrs.:thumbsup2 Have wonderful grille cheese sandwiches> we like the "kids" version it is regular grilled cheese, the adult one is weird cheeses etc.. . There is a dole whip machine in it. Nice area to sit in too.
The bar outside by the volcano pool has all kinds of drinks and supposed to have snacks but the most it carries is a bag of Fritoes.:confused3

Tomar, a slipper at narcoosee's! So how did he figure out how to order it? Did you plot a map, or he reads here too. I always wanted to go to narcoosee's. Maybe in March?

TP2, & Candi still gone, hope they are having a great time.

mky:cutie:

WOW! 24 hours...that is cool.

I'll tell my students they can recycle their cards with me and I'll send them to you guys to use for planning and then you can study geometry on your trips:rotfl: I could torture 2 generations mathematically that way:goodvibes

Those slippers are awesome Tomar! I had one at the Castle before it turned into the money making machine that it is now.

I was glad to see that the menu has different desserts on the lunch castle menu. I was glad that we went...I was not thrilled because of the price and DD and I did get "our table" by the window overlooking Fantasyland. I asked the CM With the magical seating board and she made it happen. She was somewhat shocked when I went up to her afterwards and thanked her and told her it made our trip. It's what DD was hoping for pixiedust: I felt like I won a prize. DD Can't wait for that promo to be over with either;)

We saw a few of the dream fast passes, but not nearly the number in 2006. That promo has been going on FOREVER. DD thinks it's the biggest joke. They need a new promo that's for sure. She'd still take the night in the Castle though:thumbsup2

EE22, Sis and I figured out that for the period of the dreams promo we have had at least 3 trips> each 18 days average. = 54 days. Spending at least 4 hours in park to max 12hrs / day. Dreams obtained = 1 fastpass day @ mgm obtained at 9am rock n rollar coaster, 1 roasted nut bag, epcot "its on mickey" actually I think the cm just said that, to get rid of them., 1 dream ears from mail in promo too. We probably did better than alot of people.

mky :cutie: 11 Days!!:smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey: :smickey:

You did better than we did, but we determined you are a FL resident since you visit so much;) DS received a dream fast pass in June 06...that's it for this crew. We were there 3 times during the promo.

How does a year go from June 06 through July 08?:confused3 and it's still going!! and it started before June 06.

Someone didn't learn their calendar theorems!!

They should service the rides more that's what we think. For the first 4 days we were there...MK, Epcot, AK and DHS the rides were broken...the biggies of course. SM at MK...longer fast pass waits because of it. AK Everest and PW...kids had to wait to get off since someone fell while walking off and hit her head and died:sad2: Then they didn't want to ride it and it did stop again while we went on Dino. DHS: RnR was broken all 3 days we were there...our last day it didn't start working till after 12 pm. RnR was the most annoying because all there times it was not working at opening time. Some Blah Blah Blah CM said it's because the rides run 24/7...more math speak that isn't true. Long hours, yes, but 24/7, not really, but close. He annoyed me. Epcot...TT, but that's a given, but DD and I got stuck on Soarin' for AN HOUR! The ride started twice and stopped...the first time...it turned into a thirll ride. We FLEW back to the platform:scared1: We never had issues like that before excpet for TT. We worked around all of them. Soarin' was a pain because we were trapped and not really knowing how long we would be. The others we just got fastpasses and came back.

So...it's the Year of Broken Rides;)

We noticed some improvements though: Castle menu is better. Seating outside Hollywood and Vine is much, much better and there are umbrellas to help with the heat. Many of the places in bad shape after hurricane Charlie were fixed. The part of Cirque over hang was back and BC/YC were fixed up too. DH and DS went to Cirque and parts of that they said were knew. Cheesecake Factory gone at Quest is a major bummer for them:mad: We had THE BEST Cruise Captain this trip. Really hilarious and was so sweet. Illuminations seemed brighter to us...even our buds that work there that went with us said the same thing.

Epcot was still hot...they need to fix that:rotfl:

We had a great time though. Fireworks for the 4th were amazing. And, Disney still "takes me away from the real world." I needed that this year more so than usual.

Hi Guys !!:goodvibes
Im having a "Mickey Meltdown" here !......
Toooo Tooo much to do when you get home !:laundy: :laundy:
I need a week to get back to normal again :scared: .....but....OOOOO what a time we had !!
I agree about sooo many rides going down though ....we were on Toy Story Mania ....broke down. ..we had to get off:scared1: ...got off POTC and went back for another go round....went down :scared1: ....Got FP`s for BTMRR...went back to ride it ....it was down too :scared1: ...YIKES !!!!
MKY- Mr. tomar called the cake hotline to order the Cindy Slipper ...it was sooooo pretty..came with a candle and I was given a menu that said "Happy Birthday Maria" on it ...it was very special !:cloud9:
About planning cards and reminders- I always take my trustee Passporter Deluxe....chuck full of eveything I`ve planned all year ....but your index cards sound cool ....I guess whatever works right ?!!:goodvibes
Are you packing MKY ?....
YAHOOOOOOOOOO your almost out the door now !!! Max and Bug must be soooooo excited !!! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

EE22,
ok, can you tell wdw, that we are florida residents? I would like that discount.;) Nice ride summary.:thumbsup2 Where you all on Soar'n? I hate when we single rider and split then wind up stuck and it takes forever to find out anything.

mky:cutie:

:lmao: :lmao:
I'll send a letter to the CEO mky:cutie:

Tomar: slow and steady wins the race. You've got ALL YEAR to get done and ready for next year. Slow:lovestruc

My house has been in football/basketball/track/Disney/track/track chaos for so long, I won't know what normal is when the kiddies leave.

Soarin': It was DD And I and we were together which was good. DH and DS left since the heat issue at Epcot has not been fixed yet:rotfl:

You know the boat at the beginning when it switches to the ocean scene? That's where it stopped. It was not a good thing. I don't like heights anyway and I about peed myself. I don't like the beginning of that ride and will not sit on the end. We started and it stopped there and we flew back. It was something with the seatbelts which didn't make either one of us feel very good. Then we started again and the same thing in the same spot. Third time: everyone cheered when we made it beyond that point.

I love that music.

Only good thing: I was way over heated by the time we went around the World in the Heater and sitting in there for so long actually was a huge help and then we had to go on Pavement Open Pit to the bus stop. I am not sure I would have made it. I was feeling pretty rough by the time we got to Soarin'.

I am lucky if I can get bug on Soarin now, I am not telling her that.:rotfl: She got a dead stop on Test track sideways once while doing 65, on the outside bend> they blew a tire. She said the seat belts worked great. :thumbsup2 But we did single rider and I had no idea where she was or what happened.:confused3

Tomar, how did your dining go? Bug has studied up on menus, and we think we will do ok. She just had labs again > and HA1C is 6.1:wizard: So much better. She is doing better on meds.

mky:cutie:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: on TT

I had one meal made special at the Castle and they were wonderful. Made me chicken...I couldn't eat the other items...could the pasta with veggies, but I'm not big on veggies and for a $50 meal...I wanted something I at least liked.

They were great. Tomar showed me the way:goodvibes

EE22, Yes; TOMAR is our leader.:thumbsup2

Glad you liked the castle meal, we are having my B-day dinner there. A little nervous about adult $$price for max, and him not eating something. I will look into that.

mky:cutie:

At the castle for lunch I asked for a boring old chicken breast and I got two...not that I needed two, some fresh fruit and the yummy sweet potato chips. Those are so yummy!!

sent you the # through a pm

I guess that's why buffets work for us...lots of choices for me with my strange allergies, DH eats like a little piggy in the World, DS is a growing beast and has picky tastes and DD has picky tastes now too.

The dinners would drive me insane with the waste that would go on. The castle was sort of like that, but I put my momma blinders on and moved on emotionally about the cost. We were there for the atmosphere.:wizard: If it was at every meal though, it would drive me nutso. We didn't eat at very many places where we ordered off the menu for that reason. Sci Fi was one and the Castle the other.

mky...how many times will you celebrate your birthday with Bug and Max in the Castle? Try not to let it bother you too much. :goodvibes
