MKY: I hear what you are saying about the discounts. I can totally understand wanting the view. I mean, you have been to the parks so at this point you actually enjoy your time at the hotel. Different from a lot of people out there. You should do what you want. For us it is either or. Either we change hotels to a moderate or we add the water parks to our ticket. We can't do both. I don't care though, I am just happy to be going.

thanks, but i found a great one on mousesavers.. after i posted that.. I appreciate it though! If anyone wants it, i'll be happy to share.

That's where I got it from!! :goodvibes
Glad you found it!

One thing that I loved having was moleskin for blisters and sore feet. Walmart carries it.
There is one for fanny packs too that I always found helpful as well.

Hi Guys !!!:goodvibes
Well today I realized that I am coming close to our annual summer trip to my favorite place in the whole wide world:cloud9: ....we went to the beach for a little vitiman D:beach:
After the winter I`ve had...it was a longgggggg time coming !!

EE22- The time has come for you to reap the rewards of a wonderful :teacher: ....and rest !!!!

MKY- I can really feel your pain for the view of MK..It`s one in a million:angel: ...we had the best view of the MK...when we stood at the GF one year on our Anniversary....our balcony was a ring side seat for "Wishes"...it was just beautiful...!!:goodvibes.I`m keeping my fingures crossed for a wonderful CR AP discount for ya !pixiedust:

TP2- Decisions...decisions:wizard: ...I`m sure the girls have definate things that they "Must DO"..and there`s just so many hours in one day:hourglass
but knowing how your trying your best in every way to make magic for the whole family....Im sure your going to come up with the "perfect plan" !pixiedust:

:yay: Hiya!

I have spent the last 2 hours doing higher math (you would be proud EE22);) Re-working the numbers on the dining plan. But doesn't seem to be much better as far as deals go, for us. 2 in a deluxe is not the saving area. Pretty much even, without the hassel of moving, and staying somewhere, not as appealing to me. :confused3 Will have to talk to sis tommorrow, see if she wants to stay somewhere else? or split? OR maybe I will get some pixie dust with an ap rate.:woohoo:

Also played with car rates, national is twice as high as we already have. That is going the wrong way.:surfweb:

Tomar, your right GF is beauitful. But we had that view over 9/11 and brings back bad memories. So we haven't been back. (yet)

Happy planning, mkyprincess:

Tomar: Well I think the biggest decisions made so far are, we are going to skip MGM this year. Only have tickets for 3 days and they really want Epcot and Animal Kingdom. MK is a given, we are going there 2 times with the PP party. Other big decision was everyone wants to do HDD again. They really loved it. They asked to spend more time at the FW this year so I figured we can stay for the campfire sign along after the show. popcorn:: I think we are going to add the water parks and more option to our tickets. They keep asking about a water slide (even DH) and when I said Pop does not have one they looked like someone had just died! I looked into upgrading to POR but it would cost $500 more for the hotel upgrade and to upgrade the tickets is only $200. We did a lot of work on the house this year and bought a new car so we have to be a bit more budget conscience this time around. I think in the end they will enjoy staying at Pop, I have read great things, and will enjoy hitting the water parks on our pool days instead of hanging out at the resort all day. I am sure all of your planning is done. Now you can just sit back and enjoy your countdown.:hourglass

MKY: I laughed about you doing higher math but I totally get what you mean. :teacher: I have all these tickets and I have been sitting here trying to figure out the best way to do it. If the kids ask for more milk or something I kinda flip. :headache: Means getting my head back into it all over again. We have 2 one day base tickets, one left from last year and the other starts on our second reservation which is 8/26. On top of that we have 4 ADULT one day tickets. I was looking into upgrading one of the kids tickets to add extra park days or making the 2 kids tickets into 2 day passes and then using the 2 adult tickets for 2 days of park time. In the end, we either add another park day for $200 or add the water parks to everyones 1st one day base ticket for the same $200. I don't think there is any other way to do it. Of course I could be missing something but nobody else in my house really cares about figuring it all out.

EE22: I am sure you are so thrilled to be done. :cool1: Congrats to you. :thumbsup2 We still have 3 weeks to go. I am more looking forward to the afterschool stuff being done, school at least keeps them on a schedule (and me too!). I know that the summer is going to bring a constantly trashed house :laundy: and me being cranky over it. I sometimes feel like the world spins without me with everyone is home at the same time. Of course there is the stuff I am looking forward to too. I will be nice to sit around on the front porch and RELAX.:cutie: I have not done that since January right after the holidays.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.:flower3:

MKY: I can't believe you were at GF for 9/11. That is a horrible memory. So sorry about that. I was at home and remember that day all too well.

Summer in many ways is much more stressful for me than the school year. The schedule for the kids this summer is all over the map. It's amazing. Sunday, Monday and Wednesday are basketball for DD. She's helping at the litte kids camp too and some nights are at 5 rather than at 10 am. M. W. F. is football for DS with some Sundays too. We are going to two track events this summer too...one in mid June and one over the 4th. DS has an over night (3 days really) football camp and DD has an over night bball camp in early August. DS will do 2 a days this year. I really do hate football. I aksed DS What Disney sheets he wanted to take to camp with him:rotfl:

DH went and bought him is letter jacket yesterday. DS was thrilled. He lettered as a freshmen in track:love: he was so excited.

They still have to dig up our yard for the sump pump and now the electric company is going to also dig up our yard to put down new lines. Not happy about that. I'm sure our sprinkler system we be trashed. Lots of $$ to fix it and redo the sod. I'm less than pleased that's for sure. All along the south side of our lot and all along the west side:mad:

All I know is...I'm done with my new math textbook and I'm not doing math again this summer!!!

Hi everyone !!!:goodvibes
MKY- Im so sorry for the bad memories at GF....9/11 was a horrible memory for everyone...especially those of us who live in NY & NJ.:sad2: ...

TP2- Im sooo happy that your coming to many final decisions...I can understand you guys omitting MGM...as alot of attractions there you can skip for the girls....the plan so far sounds wonderful !!:woohoo:

EE22- Your still going to be a busy bee this summer !! Now....How come I somehow Knew that ?!?!:goodvibes lol ;)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend too !!

MKY: I thought of you last Friday. I usually never pay attention to the nurse's salary, but when we voted on our contract last week, that salary was with the pay scale. It's VERY low and much lower than the teacher salaries. I have no idea why either. :confused3 I tried to open the file here at home and couldn't...it's some weird extension that I don't have on my computer since many of our staff have Macs. There wouldn't be many WDW Trips on that let me tell ya!

They dug up my yard yesterday:scared1: it's a real mess:sad2:

EE22 :cutie: (i took away your chalkboard);) Yeah! schools out for summer!!!:dance3: We have a new contract next march. I feel for you. Hope everything got settled.

TP2:bride: You lost me with that ticket figuring. :scared1: Sounds like you have it figured out thou. The water parks are alot of fun, but you get a real workout in them. Plan to rest up after a water park day. I think I get more worn out there than the theme parks.

Tomar you are about a month now! WOW:banana:

Had a problem today with wdw-dine,popcorn:: I guess you can only book on 180 days + 10 > soooooooo because we are staying so many days I have to wait till all the days (remaining) are at 180. That puts me calling back on sunday. This is for n/d trip. My 180 was actually 5/25 :rolleyes1 They said it was being strictly enforced now. I checked with 2 different cm's, the first was very nasty. Unusual for wdw- dine, but it must be a touchy subject today. The 2nd lady was polite and explained it.

I will think of you EE22 this weekend, we are going to Illinois corn country, colfax for a party. Its outside of bloomington, illinois.
Hope everyone had a good day, and happy planning!:wizard:

mkyprincess:

MKY: I THOUGHT I had the tickets figured out. I just looked at them again and those 4 adult tickets are hoppers. I am not sure if I am crazy to waste them on kids. It does help with Rockin Roller Coaster though. That was the only thing DD8 wanted to do at MGM. I figure on AK day we can head to MGM afterwards and ride RRC and hit Fantasmic if the kids want. Problem is both days MGM closes at 8:00pm. A little early but hopefully it won't be too crowded. We are probably better off with less time but without it being extra hours. We were there once for extra evening hours and the place was a madhouse. Now I just need to figure out the best way to get from AK to MGM.

Sorry you had a hard time with ADR's. I have been reading a lot of posts about less than friendly CM's. I know that there are a lot of contract negotiations going on now so I wonder if it is leaving a bad taste in the employees mouths and now the guests are suffering. I hope it gets resolved soon.

EE22: Congrats on NO SCHOOL!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I feel terrible for you over your yard. Must be a nightware.:scared1: We don't have a master bath right now because DH demolished it. It really needed to be redone but now it has been about 3 weeks and all it is is a big closet. We also did some updating in our kitchen this winter. Believe me, I know what it is like to live through the work. It is a disaster. Hang in there though. It will be so worth it when it is done.

Tomar: You have to be getting so close. We are in the 70's now for our number of days. Almost makes it worth not having a trip planned until the last minute. It is already almost here.

Now I keep checking our local Disney Store waiting for the semi annual sale. I happened upon it last year and I could not believe how cheap things were. Everything was marked down and then it was an additional 25 % off the lowest price. I got bathing suits for the girls that were originally $25 for $7.99 plus 25% off. I went crazy in there. Can't wait to do it again. Supposedly next week. The internet sale started yesterday.

Gotta go get DD8 ready for school. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

So have you guys read about the upgrade offer being offered from August 26 - September 1? If you booked at Pop or ASMu, they are offering an upgrade to SSR or OKW. You NEED the 3 letter code to book, of course. I don't have one. I called and they said I needed it to book. Good luck to all of you. Hopefully one of us will get it.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

The three letter code won't do me any good :sad1:

I only have this to say....
if one more person asks me when we are leaving for Disney I'm gonna
SCREAM!!!!:scared1: :scared1:

TP2: I hope you can get the upgrade. I know how difficult it is to watch others get discounts and none come your way. Try not to let it get you down though. I'll think happy thoughts for you!!!

Tomar thanks for the heads up, but we didn't get it. (of course).

EE22, I am sure you will get about 3 codes in the next 8 months, cause your not going. I only have gotten codes when we don't have a trip planned.

TP2, Your time is flying by. Our counters are all spinning!

Happy planning, mkyprincess:

I know...DH got the AP rate email this time. Not sure how that happened. I don't remember registering his email. They were not for our home anyway at AKL.

I cleaned the basement familyroom today during the tornado warning. I'm on the summer cleaning roll now :rotfl:

MKY: By the way...I noticed your signature. Good Grief Woman!! You've been to the Mouse House A LOT!!!!
