WOW!! I am so glad I bought my expensive airfare back in July. For kicks this morning I checked NWA and they are $740 per person now!! YIKES!!!! It was always this time of year that we'd sort of think about going in December and then we would know that we couldn't due to the plane tickets. That's just nuts!!

OK Folks.. :wave2: ...So as of today :goodvibes ......me......Tomar....I ;)
am Officially Planning for July `07 !!!!!!

Tomar,

Congrat's on July 07'! :thumbsup2

How bad where the crowds July 06? Teen tourist groups bad? Weather? Sis is considering July instead of august. But I am worried about heat & crowds.

EE22,

Wow! those ticket prices are terrible. Good thing you got air alread!

Has anyone done Vero beach? Wondering about a mini disney break next summer?

mky :surfweb: happy planning

I know several people who have done Vero Beach. They loved it, but they are the sit in the sun type of people :sunny: My cousin must have DVC too and they go to Hilton Head too. My step mom said it's awesome

MKY- thank you :goodvibes
Yes...it`s crowded and Hot Hot Hot ;) :sunny: ....Aug. seems to be a bit less crowded....but I prefer July anyway :sunny:
You Know.. its the heart of the summer...so I guess.. what else could it be right? ;) :beach:
We actually do only one LONG vacation each year...so We haven`t been to Vero & HHI Yet (If I have to spent ALL our....ever disappearing ;) points)...I prefer to spend them in "The World" pixiedust: But.....having said that...I would Love to have the opportunity to visit those places someday :cloud9:
I bet that Vero is very lovely.... :goodvibes

Hi everyone!

Sorry haven't been around, got busy at work. We are getting busier and busier. I miss the slow summer already. :sunny:

EE22, I was over on: www.disneyflorist.com and they have some great christmas stuff! :wizard: But a little pricey. Wondering if you got your new ressie with the "due now" notice not included? They sent me a new copy and had the same "total due sept 28" on it. They keep telling me to ignore it, but it does bother me. You never know.

Tomar, thanks for the info on July. I really think the crowds would be too big, but we are still considering.

Wow, I am down to 24 days. This is really coming up soon. I read some mnsshp info tonight, the first party was friday nite.

Have a great weekend, Mky princess:

Hi Everyone.

Tomar: So happy you are planning July 07. I feel like I have nothing to do now so I have been cleaning out cabinets and coming up with jobs to do around the house that we can't afford (like redoing our kitchen) .:rotfl: Disney would probably be cheaper.

EE22: Good thing you bought those tickets. I can't believe the tickets are so high, that is just insane.
I was looking into car rentals for a trip to Six Flags. They want $699 for 3 days to rent a minivan. :sad2: I am going to make some phone calls tomorrow. I can't believe it can be so expensive.

MKY: I can't believe you are going back already. I feel like I am still unpacking from our trip in August. :rotfl2: I hope you have a great time and I think the prison costumes will be great.

We are looking into getting a dog. The girls are really winning this one. We went to a kennel today and the dog we want was $2500, plus tax. Talk about sticker shock. We are now looking into other breaders. I can't believe the family pet can cost so much money.

MKY: I have received a couple new ressies and they all say due by 12/2. I am going to pay mine off to be on the safe side. I can do it with a payment in Oct and Nov and be done with it. Your trip is really coming up fast now!

TP2: Good luck with the dog. We have a fish named Eeyore and that's it. DS wants a dog when he grows up :) I'm glad I have our stuff for our trip...even my $400 car rental at this point! I tried last week again and I get somewhere around $7-900.

Happy Monday everyone :sunny:

MKY-Your really getting closer to your new trip now...
If yu guys DO decide on July....Mabe you can do a trip around Max`s B-Day.... :cloud9: If I remember... yu mentioned it was in july...right?
That time is really the heart of the summer vacationers :flower1:

AND- Just a note- Did you guys see the "Year of a million Dreams" itinerary ??? :goodvibes
I read that starting in OCT`06-(that means YOU MKY..and EE22..you guys will be there first :goodvibes ) Disney will start to give prizes out at random... to guests in any of the 4 parks and DTD..for the "year of a million dreams"...ending (I think..in Dec. of `07). I read that the prizes will range from a full day of fast passes..to a night in a suite at cindy`s castle..to a membership in DVC (paid in full...with the dues too !!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes ) OH...and a DDP- Dining for your whole trip !!( I`ll be routing for you guys to be the first winners!!!!! :cloud9: ) !!!!!!!... :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

WOW!!!! Doesn`t that sound soooo wonderful ?? :cool1: All the info is around the boards somewhere...I read this on the DVC board..I think you just have to be at the right place at the right time...the prizes will be given by the cm`s. :wizard:

TP2- Hi- WOW...a little doggy for your 3 precious Princesses :cloud9: :cloud9: That`s sooo nice, my DS & DDIL had the Huskie before the baby was born..I have to admit..I was alittle aprehensive with the dog.. and the princess at first...but all was well. :goodvibes ...What type of dog were you guys looking at?

Sign me up for the FREE DVC!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
That would rock!! Any details on how people win the prizes? I know I signed up through the site, but didn't know about the random prizes. I could handle free fast passes too for a day at the holidays that's for sure!! Just read the "random" part. I can deal with random. The probabilities are great though, but what the heck!! One can dream.

Hiya everyone, :wave2:

Tomar, you have a great memory! Max's b-day is July 8th! I really don't see July but probably August (again). We had planned to take maybe 3 shorter trips next year, so as not to be away from home (and old people) for so long But they are saying No and to just go as usual. I think they like the time alone. I really hate thinking that we are going to wait soooooo long to go again, but we will have fun planning. :)

TP2, WOW a puppy! :dogdance: That is soooooooo exciting! We got Wolfie in December and it was hard training him in the winter so get moving! We are big dog people. Did alot of obedience work with wolfie. puppy school (he was 7 weeks old), then basic and advanced obedience. It is alot of fun. We joined the dog club here and they have a big ring. It really pays to socialize him. Of course, I am partial to german shepards. He still is not great physically, but the pills are helping his arthritis and we just expect some bad and some better days. He will be 13yr old this year.
Wait to you see your Vet. bills. Yikees.

EE22, I agree, I am seriously thinking about paying for Oct. prior too. Wish this would be straighten out. popcorn:: Hope school is doing better. Tommorrow I am going to start decorating the Pediatric unit for halloween. Then I will really feel like we are going soon.

Thanks everyone for the countdown help. It is coming up. And I am not ready. I need to get my stuff under control with the changing seasons. Switching out clothes, (it was 50 here today) and season stuff. Before I start thinking about my vac. stuff.

It is COLD here!! It went down into the 30's last night. I have no idea where my pants are :rotfl: except the new pair I bought in August. It's never this cold this early! ick. I am behind finding my fall stuff too!
I only have out pjs with shorts, no long bottoms. I'm glad it did this though because 50 degrees is cold when there is a wind sitting at a football game and when the sun goes down...WOW!! I need jeans, sweatshirts, coat and my thinner gloves for WDW in December. I was freezing Monday night at the football game. BURRRR!!!!!

Good morning :surfweb:

MKY- I remembered Max`s b-day...because it`s close to mine :goodvibes
And....I think that`s why I just Knew.... He`d be a lover of "All things Disney" too :cloud9: :Pinkbounc
August will be nice for you. :sunny: ..again.. you might be there for YOUR B-day again!!! Now your getting sooo close to your next trip !!!!!! I`m excited for you.. and for EE22 too  ...as I have to wait a long time...but....I love the planning stage also!!!!! ;) I`ve already wasted alot of paper figureing and refigureing....restaurants....park days...etc. But this is part of the fun for me too !!! I just wish the baby was little older.....I`d be planning for her now !! princess: princess: :wizard: :cloud9:

EE22- they said that tomorrow we would be getting the colder weather...I think I`m ready now :santa: the faster the holidays are here...the faster I`ll have my "Perfectly Princess" here with me

Have a great day everybody :goodvibes

The flowers are dead and my feet were frozen this morning :rotfl:
34 degrees is a bit cold for this time of year. At least the flies are dead :cheer2:

Hey Everyone:

Been busy here. We are looking into getting a Havanese puppy. It is a small breed that is hypoallergenic. We have a lot of needs between DH and DD7 being allergic. Also, I don't want a dog that sheds. This dog is supossed to be smart and easy to train, good with small children. We shall see.

I have to let you all know. After our trip I sent an e-mail to guest services letting them know of the problems we had at CSR. They called yesterday and wanted to discuss all of our issues. I was so happy to know that someone actually read the e-mail and they took the time to research our problems. I have faith again in the mighty Disney. Small things make me happy. All I needed was for someone to listen to me instead of dismissing me the way they did at the hotel.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and you all enjoy planning your next trip. Not sure when we will be back but we will go at some point.

Hi All. I'm finally back to the land of the living. I've been really sick for 2 weeks :guilty: I had one nasty reaction to peanut butter that I didn't know I was eating. Not good!

TP2: How's the puppy search going?
I'm glad Disney called you. It does make a difference.

MKY: How many days? I can't remember when you are leaving. I saw some pics of the Halloween party. It looks like such fun. Good friends of mine are getting married next Sat and they are going on a cruise for their Honeymoon...Disney of course and they are going to be able to do the Halloween party this time  I'm excited for them.

TOMAR: did you see the big fuss about some special deal for rates on the code thread? I guess WDW Called them and said "no go". I got wind of a public code for December and saw that thread. I was too sick to follow it though. I saw it only after all the "no go" calls went out.

My big news: I'm better, but I booked our sleigh ride for Christmas Day AND I was able to book an Illuminations Cruise :Pinkbounc can't wait!! All of our plans are ready! Car rentals are still sky high though. Our airfare went down about $30 too, but our Cirque tickets would have gone up over $100 so I'll take the more expensive plane tickets. Who would have thought gas would go down this much?? I'm not going to look again at them though. I don't think things at WDW are not that great at the moment.

TP2: I thought of you last night when watching the news. Governor's race here in Iowa is focusing on low teacher pay. We are now 41st in the nation which is sad, sad, sad. They will give us more pay, but we'll probably have to work more days. That isn't more pay, that's more work for more pay :furious:

Hiya everyone!

EE22, :teacher: glad your feeling better. Be careful peanut allergies are terrible. You need to take care of yourself & be careful. Your students need you. :grouphug: :santa: Your plans for December sound wonderful. We have never taken an illuminations cruise, but look fantastic. The sleigh ride would be great. I saw horse / buggy rides at PORS 2 years ago and looked so romantic. (not exactly a good idea with sis  ) Those should be nice and get you away from the "crowds" at that time.

TP2, Hope the puppy has been found. And your kids are excited? :dogdance:

Tomar, Hey, see you have a new counter! Means you have picked your dates for next summer. :hourglass So excited. Now are you spending all your time at SSR? or? Any princesses coming with? Grandma?

We (sis & I) are down to 10 days  Yeah!!! I need to get busy. Although the procastination is working great. I cleaned the whole house so as not to iron and start packing. :confused3
We have alot of great stuff for October. The mnsshp, food & wine fest @ epcot, the ap opening of nemo, and the big golf tournament. We have only been once in Oct. before and it was in 03'. I remember the great weather & lower crowds but have been reading that it is more crowded than usual.
 We had Max fri and sat. and not sure if I will take him next summer. I really don't want to go during the school summer vacation and don't want him to think he is spending all his summers with us at disney. It was nice having him; but not relaxing and alot of work. I needed a vacation after we got back. And yesterday brought that all back. He is not bad; but the ADHD gets to you after awhile. If we took a shorter trip, he could go on that. Would like to take him after thanksgiving 07' for the lower crowds and xmas stuff. But not sure about his school schedule.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Today is dad's b-day and he is 77! Have a party later. Not to mention Bears vs. Seattle. Got to love chicago football to live around here. :confused3 Since the white sox, didn't make the playoffs. :rolleyes1

mky princess:

DH is a HUGE Bears fan...always has been. I'm a football widow :happytv: basketball too. I need to buy another tv for ME!!

I need details on Nemo!! I believe the new show at AK will be open too when we go in December.

Tomar: You'll get to see the new one at MK that opens in January...the Monsters Inc one!! I love that movie.

Disney didn't let me down either. Every year since I can't remember when they didn't Disney has always released a movie the weekend of my birthday :teeth: Santa Clause is coming out this year!! I wasn't sure what I'd do otherwise. I LOVED MONSTERS!! :sulley: came out the weekend of my birthday too popcorn:: popcorn:: Can't eat the popcorn. I read the label on the oil last night and it has yellow dye :guilty: I'll save myself for Mickey bars in December :mickeybar and chocolate chip ice cream sandwich cookies from Sleepy Hollow in MK

Hey everyone
Just got a few minutes to sit and unwind after a busy Sunday.... ;)

MKY- ARE YOU READY for your Halloween trip? :hmghost: :stitch: :sulley: :hmghost: Yep...got the countdown going again :goodvibes and....yes.. we`ll be spending the whole time at SSR in July :cloud9: No more moving around....I think the time is soooo precious when your at WDW...I can`t see spending it moving from resort to resort....it takes up a whole day sometimes  ....I`m sooo excited for you...have a wonderful time :goodvibes Will you guys be at the poly for the whole time also?

EE22- I read about the finding nemo show....but not about Monsters Inc !! :sulley:
I LOVE  that movie also.....You mentioned it will be at MK... but where?
Yep...I read about the the "Special Deal" on the code board...it seems that Disney printed an error on thier web site ...and gave a very cheap rate for the BWI....and some folks picked up on it...it caught my eye, because people were making ressies all the way to the summer...something like $72.00 for a single person.....and $217.00 for 3 people in a garden suite. Yes....Disney has since called each ressie holder...and told them that it was a mistake
Oh Well....It is the year of a milion Dreams....so I guess everyone that held those ressies had a Dream :cloud9: ....(for a little while at least ;) ) :wizard:

TP2- Hope everything is going well in the "finding doggy " dept. :goodvibes
I never even knew that they had dogs that were non-allergic :teeth:
I`m sure the girls will have so much fun playing with it :goodvibes I`m happy too..... that you recieved a call from Disney...and that your considering another trip sometime :wizard:

I think the new Monsters deal will be in the old Timekeeper. I don't know for sure. We won't be back for some time so who knows. I wonder what summer will be like with no Disney :sad2:
