Hi Tomar!

Since United changed our time from 6:05pm arriving at 10:30pm to 7:30pm arriving after 12am? We totally changed to the 7am willingly. They did not charge us the "change" fee, since they changed the take off time. Allowing us to pick our flight. Thank you United. Sis got off the day for work & we are all set. Your right about taking it easy the next day = we have a MNSSHP that day.

Max was over last nite, and said "when we go next summer ... " I said WE? He said "you know, your gonna take me!" He thinks we are going to Vegas in October. I thought it would break his heart to find out. :confused3 And to cover up that we are not home, we had to have a plan. pirate: I feel bad lying, but don't want to upset him. And yes, he is probably right. We probably will take hime again next year.

Have a great nite! popcorn:: Happy planning! July 2007! Thats only 10 months away. You better start watching those ap rates. :lmao: Just kidding. Never too early to plan! :hourglass

MKY- thank you...you have a great night too!!!! :)
Are you going to dress up for the MNSSHP? :goodvibes
We`ve never been for Halloween... it`s gunna be soooo cute... I bet... seeing everyone dressed in costumes !! :goodvibes
After next week I`ll put in my countdown timer again.... I just don`t want to set it in stone... until......In the BOOKS OF DISNEYWOLD......Our names are appearing for .....yet ..another time!!!!!!!! YAY!! ;) ;) :cheer2: HeeHee !!!!!!

MKY: I was sorry that I missed you too. I started working on the TR. I only got to 1/2 of the second day.

We had some trouble with the hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they were looking for a quiet place to stay with no Disney magic. Oh, and I can't forget the dirty rooms and lack of clean towels or coffee from housekeeping. I actually wrote a letter but I am not sure where to send it.

Anyhow, I am sure that your trip was much better as you did not stay at CSR. I regret not switching hotels on our first night when we had the chance. I guess you live and you learn. The one good thing were the buses. Never crowded and quick commutes to all parks. Only pain was DTD.

The parks were always wonderful and this year not too crowded. Problem was we planned a lot of down time and thought we would love to take advantage of the big resort with all of the activities listed. Would up not wanted to spend any time there, kids never even asked to go to the pool. We mostly ate in the parks to avoid eating at the hotel.

I will get into more details in the TR.

Gotta run

Hi All!! :thumbsup2
Busy, busy week for me that's for sure.

We have all of our plans set except one more item, but I'm not sure they are doing them this year...a sleigh ride. Otherwise, we are set. I'm still trying to find better rates for the rental, but I think it's as good as it's gonna get for right now. The rates for Sanford for the rentals are high, but that's okay. I asked my step mom to get me some FL maps from AAA too :)

I will have more time once football and volleyball are over for the kids. It's so hectic right now.

I'm so glad I "did the math" this summer. I'm buried at work :guilty: I ran around for nearly 2 hours today getting stuff for our special ed teachers...not cool.

Someday I'd like to do the Halloween party!! FUN!!

Code watching is great because we make friends on those threads :grouphug:

TP2- I am sooo sorry that you had a bad experiene at CSR :sad2: I was soooo hoping that yur DH would have loved it....and wanted to return next year :goodvibes
There are sooo many other Beautiful Disney resorts... that you can STILL give a chance to... I hope. :goodvibes .. some day!!!!! pixiedust:
Can`t wait for your trip report :Pinkbounc ...Happy to hear you started it!!!

TOMAR: I was very disappointed I think mostly because I worked in the industry and know what standards should be adhered to and felt very taken. He liked POR better but felt that the bus being empty made up for the other problems. He would make a joke of things and I would get angry. We would walk back to the room with beds half made (I kid you not) and just say, "hey they didn't take the garbage either". Or he would say, "Oh I will shower and then bring the kids to the pool for a quick dip and get towels down there". I was not amused by the lack of service though.

He actually asked if we can skip next summer which means he is open for another trip in the future. I think I will be the one who will need more coaxing. I do know that the other resorts are so wonderful. We visited several being on the dining plan and we would suck up every bit of magic from the other resorts. It just made it that much harder to go back to our black hole on Disney property.

EE22: Sorry you are so busy with back to work. I can't imagine though because I have been crazy busy too and it is just getting the kids ready. They finally started yesterday and I had 3 hours to clean the house. It was such a joy. Having everyone home all summer really takes a toll on the cleanliness of the house. I was always picking up after the kids and it was hard to get beyond that. Today I finally started the tr. Maybe by the end of next week it will be done.

I am still a bit angry over the trip so I am hoping that some of that will subside and I will watch the videos and just remember the good stuff.

I know what you mean about making friends at the code watch board. We really had a lot of fun and most people just don't understand what we go through. I mentioned a neighbor that is spending $600 more than we did to stay one week and we stayed two. Same everything in the package except she did no homework. I called her this week to use the new package code but I am not even sure she will call to apply it. Some people really just don't get the whole code thing.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am hoping for a babysitter. :rotfl: Our kids are so excited for school that I can't handle the extra energy. We really needed a full week of school this first week to get the excitement out of their systems.

Morning everyone!

TP2, sorry about your trouble at CBR. For some reason I thought you where going to CSR. We stayed at cbr once, right after it opened. It was ok then. But got lucky, being in Trinidad, near the main buildings / pool. Of course this was probably 15yr ago? We have went back to look around and scout out the place almost yearly since, but just too crowded usually when we look. Store or food area nuts, with large tourist groups have kept us from trying again. Seems we should be glad we didn't. My fav. moderate too is PORS. Started there when it was Dixie Landings. We have stayed there probably 8 different trips. Last being aug 05'.

Tomar, Yes, we are MNSSHP nuts too. I am embarrassed to admit, I bought 4 parties, but that is over 18 nites. I held back? :confused3 We are frantaticly trying to come up with easy, travel ready costumes? Actually going out tonight for ideas. We have been before in October (once) and went to 2 parties that time. The fireworks are great. Kinda like xmas, but orange? Costumes: We have the disney Pooh & Eeyore (but they are kinda warm. If it cools off at nite would be ok. Other wise: Sis has an idea about orange scrubs (hospital background working here) and printing on front " Stateville Prision, Joliet Illinois" (its the prision about a mile from here). and wearing handcuffs? For the number = use 407wdisney as an inside personal hidden mickey? Would be cooler to wear, and easy to pack? Or of course the wear my nursing outfits and take my stethoscope? We even consider buying a new p.j. and wearing mickey slippers around the park? HELP :stir: I need some opionions! :hourglass :wizard:

EE22, :teacher: I think next year, I will request december for our 2nd vac. but will have to see if it is open. I miss the xmas festivities. Who is your candlelight pro. reading by? Dec. is slightly more economical too, the October prices are really high? :badpc: Thanks for the car info. I can't find any good transport maps here. But I will definately get them in October! ;) So stay tuned. popcorn::

I too, am so glad to have "met" you ladies! :surfweb: It is soooooo nice to know you understand the code mania and planning woo's. Most people don't want you to talk about our habit or trips. Great to have an actual outlet, with such great people. :grouphug: Thanks everyone for being soooooo friendly! and fun!

TP2, sorry about your trouble at CBR. For some reason I thought you where going to CSR.

We did stay at Coronado Springs Resort, not sure where I typed it wrong but I want to make sure I don't send the wrong message out about Caribean Beach. I have never stayed at CBR and wish we didn't experience CSR but now at least we know for the future.

MKY- Good morning :surfweb:
I think that the prision costumes sound soooo cool :cool2: :goodvibes
I read about alot of "Disney Related Costumes" that some of the VC membrs wear over on the DVC board......I think "Pirates" ar going to be the nost popular thi year mabe pirate: I saw fairy godmothers...and "Alice in wonderlands....and Mad Hatters...and Queens of Hearts...BUT...I like the Idea of the 407-Disney # on the shirt....that`s sooooo cute :thumbsup2
Your gunna have a great time !!!!!

TP2- I am sooo very disappointed for you....because.. I know.. how much you worked to make this vacation special....and the lack there of....isn`t acceptable to me....for YOU either!! :grouphug:
We too stood at CSR once...if you look at the bottom of my signature...it was in June of `01...We had 2 rooms in the Casitas..With our DS`s and their GF`s (they weren`t married yet)...and I had a few issues myself..BUT... not
like your talking about.... :sad2:
I`m really anxious to hear ALL about it :earseek: :surfweb:

Yikees, it was probably me, reading without glasses on. Need my bifocals? remember I just had another b-day. :confused3

FYI: we never stayed at csr, not real appealing to us and too spread out. :confused3 Don't like the fact you have to pay funny at the food court too.

Tomar,

I am too short to pull off the princess thing. Last time we went I did do tinkerbell and minnie, but it is tooooooooooo much for packing. gloves, head piece, poofy dress, shoes, etc......... . We had a whole suitcase of stuff. This just sounds easier.

We will see if something jumps out at us tonight?

Thanks for the help! mky princess:

MKY- Your welcome :goodvibes
You guys are going to be the best looking "INMATES" that ever escaped to WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hee Hee :hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost: :mickeyjum

I like the inmate idea as well :thumbsup2

I was a crayon once :rotfl: I wore all blue and made a paper cone for my head. I did spray paint my hair though which if you do any kind of coloring of the hair isn't a good thing as it won't come out. I know girls at school who do this and after using red, they have PINK hair :lmao:

You should just buy one of those shirts at Target that say..."This is my costume." :rotfl2: Or the orange ones with the pumpkin face :rotfl:
I'm not very creative when it comes to costumes.

FOUR parties. Thanks for going for me ;)
You are just too darn funny!!!

Are the October rates high? value season must start after that then?

Marlee Matlin is our speaker, but I guess her interpretor speaks as she signs since she is deaf. I think I understand that correctly. It's rather odd that she ended up being the speaker. One of my best friends in the world I met because I had this amazing death student. She was her interpretor. We'll be friends to the end. I am also still very close to the student as well. She was in my math classes and she was also in student council when I was the advisor.

I didn't pick by speaker. I picked by the date that I felt would be least crowded and that our friend that works at WDW could attend since she'll have family there on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Well back from shopping. Got 2 orange scub outfits. Found the stencil for the numbers and black ink / paint. outfits total $22.00 each. Not too bad. Sis can wear the pants to work after. We also got 2 matching rn shirts that are disney scrub shirts for halloween. She can wear them to work and we match them with the orange scub pants. 2 outfits in one. ;) So we will do the nurse thing, the convict thing, and bring the Pooh and Eeyore outfits if it is cool enough to wear them. (my hospital has a strick rn dress code, so can't wear them anymore. we wear 1 teddy bear print with navy or white pants only  ).

Yes, October is considered Regular season. We should of checked in by sept 29th to get the value season rates. Poly prices are about 60.00 more a day (regular price). Than what I paid in August.

EE22, I think Marlee might be very interesting as the speaker. But would of prefered John Stamos. ;) I have also not seen osbourne's mgm light spectacular on the new area yet. That will be something to see. In august they where already putting the lights up. You will have such a great xmas! Will you be at the Animal kingdom lodge again? Don't forget to decorate your room.

Everyone have a great weekend. :surfweb: mky princess:

Glad you found some items to wear. That will be fun!!

We are staying at AKL. I'm not sure what I would decorate with in our room. DD is going to give me what for over Santa. Not sure how I'll handle pressies and stockings. :confused3 I don't want to have their personal stockings lost. My mom made them and mine is OLD...like me :rotfl:

DS has a football game at 9 am this morning. :cheer2: DH and I couldn't sleep last night. Weekends are for rest not restless nights. I'm a zombie this morning!! :surfweb:

Good Morning Everyone :surfweb: :wave2:

MKY- sounds like your all set now.. :goodvibes ..inmate & nurse...I like that :thumbsup2 Your gunna have such a Fun time :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

EE22- Mabe you could put a little tree with lights in your room...and put some pressies around it :goodvibes !!!!!!
OHHHH....Christmas at WDW....it just doesn`t get any better than that!!!!!! :cloud9: :cloud9:

I`m soooo excited for you guys :dance3: :dance3: and I can`t WAIT to hear all about your trips !!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :thumbsup2

EE22,

Last time we went in december, we stopped a quick target run. And got a tiny tree and bow for the door. We got a strand of lights around the mirror in the room. Also we put jingle bells on our door handles. very festive.

You will have a great time & christmas! We choose not to bring our own things, for the same reason. I had them decorated and in place at home. We did bring back our little tree and I have in bedroom, now at xmas. Someone stole the jingle bells.

Tomar, have a great weekend. the cooler weather is heading your way. Glad you like the halloween ideas.

EE22 & Tomar,

I sent you the email pictures of my cake from Boardwalk bakery. Sis just sent them to me, and I can't seem to post it.

mky :wizard:

MKY- Got it !!!! :goodvibes
Thank you for sharing.....sooooo cute...and Yummy looking !!:goodvibes

What a great cake!!

It's gonna be all that I can do to find the grocery store and get to WDW let alone make a Target run. :rotfl2: I'm worried about driving and I shouldn't be, but I am. I grew up near Detroit and don't have troubles when we drive in big cities now, I just don't want any trauma!! :teeth: I know my step mom will come through with some maps for me too.

It's cold and rainy here today! Fall is here which makes my room so much nicer. It was so HOT again at the end of last week! ick!!!

I was so depressed Friday. They are hiring 3-4 elementary teachers to reduce class sizes of 28 and 29, but the high school will get nothing and we have class sizes of 33 :guilty:
