Well ... we'll only find out from these boards if SOMEONE calls :rotfl2:

My DH and I have had AP's for over 10 years. I have tried to "register" my email with them (and DH's email) multiple times over the years. So far, we have NEVER received an email about anything to do with AP's - discounts, promotions, advertisements, NOTHING! We get the Mickey Monitor - but that is always well after the discounts became available and we already know about them from here or mousesavers. I get emails from Disney (DisneyInsider, DisneyOutlet, DisneyShopping and occasional ads for DVC) but nothing to do with AP's.

If we don't call, how will we know? If we all wait for Mousesavers to post it (and remember, she was late the last time), we may well miss the opportunity for certain resorts/room categories. Further, until someone calls, how will it be made known on the DIS--I know I for one check the forums before I check the WDW Information pages.

If Disney wants to play the cat and mouse game with AP rates, then the price to be paid is being chased by the cat! I feel for the agents who must tolerate the "imposition" of doing their job, but that--at least for now--is how the game is played. Like the poster above, I have NEVER been notified of AP rate release dates until AFTER the release has occurred that a.m. or a day or so later, if I am notified at all.

ITA that it would be so much simpler if there was a guarantee of a discount at any resort (based on availability) and level of service for all passholders. Then, of course, Disney could always deny availability and consumer wouldn't know of availability without telephoning. As to checking the website--that's a :rotfl2: that website is so inefficient and unreliable--I would never trust it to be accurate IF I could access it AND it was up to date.

As much as it's an annoyance to the agents, it is what Disney has made it and we are simply trying to play the game.

I just want to say THANK YOU to those of you who call each day, and then post about it here. It saves me (And Disney!) the time and energy, if I were making calls myself, too.

Regarding Mousesavers; I love that site, but I've been getting the notification emails a good 6-12 hours AFTER the site is updated. I know this because once in a while I'll go to the site and see new things on it, only to get the notification email about those specific changes, several hours later. No big deal, and possibly could be the fault of my email server or internet provider. I realize that I can check Mousesavers throughout the day myself, but I choose to check the DIS boards because I'm usually already on this site checking cruise threads, restaurant threads, etc, for our upcoming trips.

I'm only mentioning all this to further point out how much I trust and appreciate the good people here on the DIS who call, and then post, here on the "Waiting for Codes" threads. :thumbsup2

P.S. I don't think that, overall, the DIS members who are calling each day, make up much of a percentage of those who call CRO. :teacher:

WOW,

just got home from work and quickly turned on the computer to check the dis and this thread has went crazy.

At least we are well over the post count now most people think we needed to get the ap rates. ;)

Yes, I try to call and post it always, if someone got to it first and I woke up later I would not call if it where posted. I thought we all wanted to know that it was checked. I also see the point of not posting and why the (against) brp {best rate program} people are so upset. But I agree, this is disney's game, and we are playing there rules. I definately agree with the cat /mouse game.

Today, was the first day I have encountered a less than happy cm. Not sure why she was not happy. Got the basic "NO" and then she added "ap rates are not guarranteed, and you might not get them, we don't know" Not exactly that nice either. So I explained that I am an ap holder for many years and that I realize the truth of her statement, however; I am going for over 35 days this year alone and need the ap for tix > if I get a room discount benefit > all the better. I realize in the past pre 911 they did skip a month or two a year once in a while. however; it was not that routine to skip. And with the now limited resort or room category (we didn't have back then) it is a good idea to be in on the offering early.

I still think we are close. I can't believe they want to offer this the same day tix go on sale for the mnsshp & mvmcp? So I disagree with May1. I guessing tonight or in the am.

Lets all relax, and hang on "we are in for a bumpy nite" At least this is helping our wait to go to disney, go by quicker.

If having touble with the ap site: clear your cookies and shut down your computer. Then restart with a new sign in to ap site and that might work. It did for me.

If signing with a voucher > I could not either and disney was NO help. Got help here. Be sure to type exactly what they want with proper capitals etc... then on the last few digits > there is room for 4 numbers try only 1 or 2 and use you numbers in different combinations till it works. IE= if number 1234 try only 12 or 34 or 134 etc... Good luck.

I have to say I don't get the calling. I sometimes wonder why 10 people post every morning.. Not yet. It's almost like we don't trust each other LOL!

I haven't called yet. I figure there is no need for another "not yet"

Thanks for the voucher tip. I actually did figure out (on my own) how to sign in with the voucher. It wasn't nearly as simple and clear cut as she'd suggested, but it worked.

For now, I've refrained from calling in to ask about codes. I drag myself out of bed each morning and check the boards, mousesavers, intercot and wdwinfo, as well as the passholder site.

:surfweb:

If only I could stop myself from checking all of those sites every half an hour! I'll have to stop soon, since it's back to work for me tomorrow, and I'm away from the computer from 7-3:30.

STILL thinking happy thoughts!

Well, just spoke to "Buttercup" a very friendly female CM.
i was actually taking to her for about 10 minutes. She stated more than once..."they are working on something its that they dont tell us what it is."
she also stated, there will be an AP pass discount.

She did throw me for a bit of a loop..she said.."dont be surprised if they skip some dates."

I told her when we were checking in...( June 14-25 @ POR ), she said, its a good thing you already have your reservations. She did go on to say, the resort bookings for June are at about 92% right now.

She said, the AP holders will know before the CM's due to Disney email system. The AP holders will get the email BEFORE they know about the discounts.

I am very concerned at this point that there will be an abundance of AP rates available for July and August,...and minimal for June. We have gone to WDW way TOO many times for the AP rates not to be out by now for a June trip.

If you are planning on going in June...book now !!!!!....you may not get an AP rate. But at least you will get a room reservation.

Just for good measure:

2:43 cst very nice cm > Nothing yet. ;)

Thanks for checking mky!! :thumbsup2 Here's some pixie dust for tonight and tomorrow!!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I had originally thought that AP rates would come out sooner, rather than later, but in the back of my head was always the possibility that June would be skipped......Occupancy for June does seem very high

This is really tough to explain, but one thing that I did notice, (and it probably means nothing) was that before they removed the old booking link for the on the AP website for the codes that expired earlier this month, when I clicked the link, the "preset" dates that showed up on the next page were beginning July 13th....

Again, this is super tough to explain, so if it doesn't make sense, I'm sorry....

We have DVC ressies, but am also holding 2 concierge rooms (2 sets of dates) for our trip as well, waiting for AP rates..... :hippie:

I'm an AP member who NEVER gets AP email anything! I get other Disney emails, but never have I gotten AP news. Anyone know what the deal is with that? :confused3

I must say that I am hopeful for tonight.

I called today to add AAA discount to our reservation. Well, we have 4 reservations because our length of stay and because we need 2 additional rooms because my parents and sister are coming. I spoke with a really nice CM and she said she would apply the AAA discount but it would take some time because she had to do it with guest services so she took my phone number and said she would call back in an hour. During our conversation I explained that I am an AP holder and that I was waiting for the discounts to be released but I am now nervous that they won't be offered so I figured better AAA than nothing. Well, the conversation took place at 10:39 am and she quoted it with a return phone call time. I STILL have not heard back from her and it is now 6:38pm. Could it be that when she contacted guest services they told her to wait on my reservation so they would not have to do it twice? Maybe I am just REALLY optimitic in thinking they would apply the code for me. :bitelip: Or couldit be that she told me she would call me back just to get me off the phone because my request was annoying? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I signed up to receive every email available from Disney & get nothing AP related..... :confused3

Just called nice cm told me to try back about the 2nd week of May. :lmao: That's gonna happen. ;)

The wait continues........... pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

We're all posting the "not yet" because we haven't checked whether or not others are posting OR we're posting a nearly the same time. . . I don't mind that a number of folks post--a couple of years back, I phoned at 7:00 a.m. on the dot, was told "not yet", checked the boards and the code frenzy was underway! I also missed out getting my AP rate that year (fortunately, I had a VISA rate that was nearly identical). I say the more the merrier, call away, post away! :goodvibes

I am on the phone with them now because of issues with connecting our reservation to be a grand gathering...bottem line...NOTHING TONIGHT. :sad2:
