Do any of you who spend time on the FB meet page know if there is anything being proposed for a DIS get together at one of the alcohol tasting events on board? We did the tequila one on our MR and that was a fun way to get together after the DIS meet on the first day. The champagne tasting also sounds fun.

We would be willing to also meet at a tasting with a group.

We just have a DD12, what about you? Will you be driving or flying? We always drive.

And I am also with you, not much of a cruise drinker either....prefer to spend my money on massages and excursions! and I can make a fool of myself (sing out loud /dance etc..) completely sober

I haven't tried a massage yet - I feel strongly that once I do it's going to be a life changing kind of situation. Probably best to wait until I'm cruising without my kids or "no, you can't have a smoothie, I need that money for the spa" might become my new mantra. And someday down the line I'm going completely over to the dark side and trying concierge, just so I can see how the other people live, and participate in the discussions on the DIS about whether the elite should be separated from the masses by gates.

Never a problem making a fool out of myself without alcohol either...

I agree I'll be there where ever it is. My family, however, will not be (they are the ones that get sidetracked by navigator activities and sleeping in and could really care less about meeting other people, lol).

My Morgan has been desperately searching for your Peyton because she saw that Peyton was the only other 12 yr old girl on the FE list. I tried explaining that there were other kids around her age (and maybe even 12 yr old girls?!) who were cruising but not giving out gifts and she is adamant that she has to meet Peyton so she's (Mo) not all alone on this cruise.

So with that in mind, any chance Peyton would want to email and or skype/facetime with Morgan?

Since Lynette "jumped ships" our 1st post isn't accurate as far as who is and isn't going. I think it would be a great idea to get a new roll call list going and maybe show who is/isnt on FB and who all is cruising with us.

I've kinda been going off the FE list and it dawned on me that there are TONS of people cruising with us between the Dis Board and FB I'm having a tough time getting my mind straight on who is who.. I'd be willing to maintain the list here and I'll ask Lynette to put a note on the 1st post referring to THIS post..so here is the list that she had, let me know if there are additions or deletions and if you are on FB...Thanks!

Honestly, the massages on land are just as nice as at sea, and far cheaper! You can go to a top notch spa at home before you cruise and have a massage for much less... and that is a wonderful way to get you in the mood for the upcoming trip!

OTOH, sometimes I'll get a manicure onboard for formal night, so I'll admit to paying too much for those... I've never done the Disney spa though, because I've heard that it's just over the top with sales pitches and that's a real turnoff for me.

I'm another one in that club! I can be very silly... and when DH prods me to do karaoke, it's time for everyone to leave the room! And the strange thing is, I don't drink at all, don't smoke, no drugs... just my natural silliness coming through. Scary, innit?

Everything looks good for us! I just checked and we have no cabin assignment yet. However since we are OGT I'm guessing we won't get one until almost June.

This is a big group! I'm glad we've been getting more chatter going on this thread!

Oh, and for Morgan and Peyton... could my 11 yo DD join in the emails? I know she'd like to meet some people!

I did the "alone time" once ..... two hours of heaven-ness plus the rainforest room all day... Foot massage and exfoliation, jacuzzi with Tea on a private deck, face head and full body massage, bathrobe and more tea on the double decker padded lounge chair with pillows on the private deck... for another 20 or so.. and I think there was a few chocolates given too amazingness.

I know its a bit more for oneon board but I work hard darnit...I deserve a bit more!

I agree, I actually have had better massages on land for less, but why should I deprive myself just because I'm at sea?

and I don't karaoke drunk or sober but I REALLY am good at laughing at those who do...does that count? hehe
