I did it! I created a closed Facebook page for our group. I titled the page "June 9, 2012 Fantasy Disney Cruise." I am not exactly sure how others join. For those that want to join, please let me know if you can request to join. Otherwise, you can post here (or PM me) your name as it appears on FB and I can add you.

I can't wait to get to know everyone better! :cool1: Thanks parrotheadmom for the idea!

Great to see you, Disneycruise2012! We did the same thing, waiting until our youngest was 3 and potty trained to cruise. We've been cruising ever since!

We're not from Indiana, but my DH is originally from there (Michigan City).

Hi everyone. Only 36 days till our cruise!!!

We got our cruise booklet in the mail this week and it reminded me that I didn't get the kids checked in for the Youth Activities. I had been all over DCL's site trying to find where to do it, but couldn't, so I finally had to call DCL. I swear it used to be part of the Online Check-in steps, but they've moved it to this tiny hyperlink at the bottom of Cruise Activities. Weird and not user-friendly IMO. Anyway, glad to get that done, so we won't have any paperwork in the terminal except the health questionnaire, I think.

Since I had DCL on the line, I also ordered the 10 Photo credit package; that small package is not usually available on board and the 20 credit is usually more than we need. Also had them note DS's food allergies, and our dining rotation request (#3 - ERAERRA).

So, I think we're ready to cruise! Is it June 9th yet?????

We got the pre-cruise packet for one cabin but not for the other. I'm wondering if the other one got lost in the mail somewhere???? In any case, I think the one cabin has enough luggage tags for us all, especially since there is no cabin number on them!

So excited for the cruise!!!!! :cool1:

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer that dining rotation? Usually by this time I have done my homework and made my requests but I'm thinking maybe I'll just use your research to make my decision, lol.

I'm curious too. Where did you get the dining rotation # from? Is it posted somewhere? I called DCL last week and just requested not to dine at AP on Pirate Night. DD' s pirate makeover is scheduled during dinner and she didn't want to miss the AP show. Didn't know you could request a specific rotation. Do you know the order of rotation #1 and #2?

I guess it would be nice to be at Royal Court on Formal Night... but other than that, what's the reasoning behind selecting a dining rotation?

Agree. It would be nice to dine at RC on formal night especially after a Princess makeover at BBB. With the new AP show maybe some want to make sure it doesn't coincide with Palo or Remy reservations. :confused3

You reminded me that I need to call DCL... we are celebrating DS' 18th bday and graduation and on our reservation it says we are celebrating DH's bday. Kinda funny since his is in August and they have all our birthdays listed right there.

Did they change the dining rotation again? The first couple of Westerns they were having the old way (ERAERAE).

We used to request ours a certain way so we could be in the "fancy" restaurant for formal night and Parrot Cay for pirate night, but for some reason after a while we just stopped caring what restaurant we were in for what night.

I've never ordered the photo credits beforehand, but it's nice that you have the option to get a smaller package. I was thinking of ordering the Rainforest day pass. In all my DCL's I've never been anywhere near the spa. Might be fun to try!

Yep, that's the reason. We would be in RC on both Formal and Semi-Formal nights. Shouldn't really matter, and I did consider just letting whatever happens happen, but we requested this way on the last cruise and it was nice. If we had a Server to request, that would probably trump the rotation request. I also kind of like having the Animation show on the last night of the cruise. Maybe it will ease the sadness of leaving the next day.

I'm curious too. Where did you get the dining rotation # from? Is it posted somewhere?

There was a thread on here last week that included the rotation numbers, but honestly, I forgot which was which. The CM on the phone just looked up the number associated with the restaurants I was requesting.

Do you know the order of rotation #1 and #2?

I think the other 2 rotations are AERAEER and RAERAAE. I forgot which is #1 and which is #2.

Did they change the dining rotation again? The first couple of Westerns they were having the old way (ERAERAE).

I believe the Maiden Voyage's rotations were different because their Western itinerary reversed the port schedule between Costa Maya and Cozumel. So they did Pirates on Cozumel night 4 (instead of our Coz 5) and therefore they had the other sequence of rotations (1231231, if you're familiar with that designation).

Hmm. I don't care enough to make the phone call, lol. I'm sticking with my "unplanned" cruise plan this time. I don't know if it's lack of time or lack of emotion but I really don't feel like doing all the pre-cruise work like I used to..:confused3

Thanks for the tip SJCruiser! Called DCL and requested dining rotation #3 as well. I'm sure DD will enjoy dining at RC after her BBB Princess makeover on formal night. She also doesn't have to worry about missing AP show on Pirate night while she's having her Empress makeover at PL during the dinner hour. Are you main seating? If you are and we both get our requests, see you there!

Oh yeah, where do you go on DCL website to pre-register kids for Oceaneer Club/Lab?

Nevermind......I found it!

Same wavelength again, Andrea. :)

We are actually second seating. I prefer that since we are coming from the Pacific Time Zone. Otherwise, the first few days at dinner feel like a late lunch!
DH, on the other hand, groaned when I told him we are 2nd seating. But since I plan the trips, I get first choice!!

And for anyone else considering whether to request a dining rotation....
My understanding is that the animation show in AP requires extra time, so I think the servers just bring out pre-plated dessert samplers, rather than taking individual orders. I thought I read that they also do this with the appetizers, but am not sure. Anyway, if you are looking forward to specific items on a certain menu, you may prefer not to have that menu when you also have the animation show. For example, the RAERAAE rotation puts you in AP for the animation show on night 6, which is also the Captain's Gala / lobster night. I don't recall the app/dessert part of that menu, but you could check that out and see whether this circumstance may not fit your preference.

(Yes, I plan this stuff way too much!!!!)
