hi everyone!!!

I am absolutely over the moon, excited beyond belief to be going on this cruise! I celebrate a milestone birthday (tomorrow april 2), which includes a 4 and an 0. To really celebrate, i booked the med cruise in june!!!

I have never cruised before, and neither has my roomie so we are learning everything at breakneck speed. We booked the crusie a year ago, got a great deal. We also booked our air through disney, because we just didn't want any hassles. We even got the insurance (which may come into play at some point, but details on that later).

We have signed up for our seatings for dinner, we have picked excursions (having never done this before we stuck with the disney offers), got reservations for palo and also made spa reservations.

All that is left to do is pack. I'm trying very hard not to bounce. Really. It's not working.

Hey all! We're getting excited too! Our major "bump" on this journey came couple of weeks ago with a cancer diagnosis for my aunt. She goes into surgery tomorrow and we're hoping for a full recovery (from the surgery) by travel time. We'd be grateful for any prayers or positive thoughts from you all! Have a great weekend!

Welcome aboard! Excellent to have another 4 and 0 celebrant. My 4 and 0 will be the day we sail! I said, if I have to turn 40, then it has to be this way!

Sorry to hear you (?) may be facing a difficult health scare, my thoughts and prayers are with you too!

OMG I thought I was bad even i'm not packed yet, but got a spreadsheet going for everyone's packing list of clothes required for day and evening and mix n match, so that we don't overpack as usual

If the rumors are correct about The Magic located in NYC and Galveston in 2012, who knows when Disney will return to Europe. Kind of a bummer

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes. The surgery went well, my aunt made it home a few hours ago, and will probably start chemo sometime in the next 2 weeks. We appreciate the prayers and concern. We keep going with the reminder that there are only 65 days left til sailing! Thank you all and may your lives all be blessed for your compassion!

We (Mom, Dad and Daughter, 16) will be joining you on this cruise in less than 64 days time and booked yesterday with the UK resident discount so got an excellent price. Booked in an 11B GTY so am looking forward to seeing if we get a free upgrade or not, but to be honest it doesn't matter as long as we are on the boat! We went on the Med 10 night last year but in August so it will be nice to have the temp. a little cooler this time - it got unbearable at times last year! Let me know if you need any questions answering or want to know any info from last years navigators, I'll do my best!

I agree, it's sad but it makes me super excited that we booked this cruise! We talked about pushing off Europe until DD was older but now I'm glad that we will be cruising the Med with Mickey in 2011!!!

If the rumors turn out to be true I feel bad for those that were hoping to do Europe next year, I think there were lots of people hoping for an Eastern Med. We also almost waited another year, now I am so glad we didn’t!

For Rome, I used this map in the past and found it helpful.

Hi Alma, I bought a Barcelona book that comes with an attached maps, I also got a separate Barcelona city map, for me I'd rather use a portable/paper map, I think it's easier. You can check them out at any bookstore. Have you purchased your airfare yet?

hahaha... yeah, that sounds like a good idea. We have almost a full day on the day we leave the cruise so we'll probably do a hop on/hop off tour or something.

Does anyone have any good recommendation for a City Map for Barcelona and Rome?

My son Bruce has an online site for maps of Rome, and I'll send them to you by e-mail. Also, we are doing the hop-on-hop-off tours in Barcelona and they have great maps...hand held. Sometimes aps are great!

No Iphone but I did checkout the Streetwise maps online. It looks like our Barnes and Noble also has them so I am planning on stopping by this weekend and actually taking a closer look at them. Thanks

I also like the idea of a compact and easy to read map. Finally booked---we are using Air France out of LAX and going to Paris before the cruise

I wish I wasn’t so obsessive about planning I just like to have as much mapped out as I can before leaving. Those Hotel maps are also pretty handy
