Hmmmm... the Mediterranean Sea is getting a little crowded with Navy ships from all over the world and Malta is apparently being deluged with refugees from Libya. I'm beginning to wonder about the timing of our cruise (not much but just makes you think ...)

BTW, this year is my parent's 50th anniversary so should I call DCL and let them know? Will they do anything special for them?

You can take Truegray's family off the list. They are friends of ours, but sadly had to cancel their trip. But we're going to do our best to have fun without them, and maybe they can go another time!

I'm thinking the same thing regarding Malta, I really hope they don't cancel this port, cause we're really looking forward to see Blue Grotto.

Not sure if Disney will do anything special for your parent's 50th Anniversary but wouldn't hurt to ask. Maybe you can order something from DCL to decorate their room and definitely book them for Brunch or Dinner at Palo. OR better yet, maybe they can renew their vows Disney Style! , that would be awesome!!!

Maybe your children will be in the clubs with my granddaughters and a few others. We are doing excursions with small groups, and are all filled up, sorry. We will surely celebrate with your family...sounds like fun!

I have not either, so we are doing hop-on-hop-off tours, if they answer my e-mail!!! Look on web for options as well as Disney.

Ok, so I was reading the news online today and there's news that is really troublesome about Spain's airports.

To quote one article

Unions announced 19 strike days in a move aimed at bringing the country’s tourism industry to its knees in a row over airport privatisation.
The industrial action was timed to coincide with the peak periods of Easter and and continuing into May, June and July.

and to make matters worse (at least for me) is the possibility that British Airways cabin crews may take strike action in the summer.

For those who are interested, Disney has released the Palermo excursions. Has anyone been there? If so, any recommendations?

In 2007 we did Disney's 1/2 day excursion for kids. My 3 and 6 year old enjoyed it, even though the puppet show was a bit too long. We did that excursion in the PM, prior to that the adults just walked into town and took a tour of the markets.

Which Hoho bus tour company did you inquire with? I just checked online (viator.com) It's $27.88 for ages 15 & up, $13.94 for ages 5-14 and Free for ages 0-4. There are 2 diff. routes and i'm not sure if those prices covers both routes.
