June 6th Stimulus Checks?

Has anyone else heard this about the checks being behind??? OMG! That would stink for us!!

We got our June 6th scheduled check today in the mail, (Monday, June 9).

Just checked mail and it was in there and for the right amount!!!! Yeah!! Was about to have to tell DS5 and DD5 no money for Universal and Sea World! They would have been soooooo disappointed!

When are you going to WDW and Universal? We leave in 12 days

We leave Thursday headed fro Universal for 2 days and then off to WDW for a week and finally two days at sea World and 1 day at Aquatica. Our first family trip, so we are sooooo excited!! Hope you have a great trip!!

I do not think they are a month behind I know tons of people who are scheduled and have got theirs a few days after when it was supposed to be sent. I know there were some that were deposited into the wrong account so maybe that would be mine. I got my letter today stating mine would be mailed this friday we are the June 13th group.

Because I am over anxiously awaiting my check I called the IRS today to see where it was. When I told the nice man I spoke with about the letter stating "You can expect your payment by 6/6/08.", he told me it was a poorly worded letter. He said all checks (in our SS # group) were mailed on 6/6/08, and that we should receive it soon. He said because they do such a massive mailing when they're sent out, it can overwhelm the post office and therefore take longer than when someone sends one first class letter, and therefore some may not arrive for 7-10 days from the sending date. Anyway, he reassured me several times all 6/6 checks were mailed on Friday.
I can not wait to get ours

Yay! I got mine too! I'm signing DD up for a mommy and me gymnastics class today so perfect timing!

Yep, my son is exactly where you are...got the letter saying 6/6, but STILL doesn't have the check!

Misery loves company, I guess. Everyone I talk to who got the same letter received their checks within a few days so I was getting paranoid.
