June 5, 2016 - Magic Goes to England, Ireland, Scotland and France

It looks like they are still adding, but all the ports are added and quiet a few excursions now.

So do we think these are all the excursions or will Disney be adding to these?

I think they are not quite complete - mostly because of how they seem to be indexed from the Port Adventures page.
https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures/europe/ and you'll see where instead of the port name, it has finder.facet.invergordon-scotland for example. Also it seems like the number of results has jumped some - right now it shows 649 port adventures for Europe -- if that number increases, we'll know they've probably added some. I can't wait to go through the ones that are already listed so we can start thinking more seriously about what we want to do.

They added to Invergordon, Greenock and Le Havre today. Still nothing in Paris except Disneyland Paris or Normandy but I think more will be added. I have been so anxious because we can book on Saturday morning and we don't have much time to discuss the ports.

After you see finder.facet. Port name the next time you refresh the names seem to change to the standard format.

They are definitely adding more throughout the day. Le Havre only had 4 earlier and is now up to 8.

My kids have been teenagers mostly when we have participated in the past; they are both adults now (well, as adult as an 18 and 19 yr old can be) but we are still participating. We know several others who are planning to participate who are adult only cabins. If you decide you want to participate, please PM me your info and I'll add you to the list!

We have been participating since 2010 and do not have any kids with us. We enjoy it!

Ok I am convinced! I love doing crafts and gift-giving is my love language haha so I'll definitely have to hit up pinterest to see what I can come up with!

Please add us to the group. Joseph and Cecilia Weaver. 35 DCL cruises. Booking starts for palo, spa and port adventure for us at 2100 hours tonight. Great thing about being stationed on the west coast with USAF

Gotcha added! And good luck booking everything tonight - please come back and share what you booked - we can't book until the Gold wave - February 21st - need to mark that on the calendar. And yeah, lucky you about west coast time - wasn't there a time that booking was midnight west coast time? Seems like there was an early cruise for us when I had to get up at 3 AM.....

We were platinum from they day they created levels. When we were stationed in Arizona for first Med cruise we had to book at 2200 hours Arizona time. So I think it has been 2400 hours eastern all the time. We even booked while sitting in the Toronto airport coming back from a cruise. We always try to have one cruise upcoming and will bill next year's WBTA while on this cruise since I have not seen new itineraries or ports for summer 2017.

cant wait to book. 2100 hours tonight on the west coast. Will need to check again since I did not see Normandy excursion the other day.

We're doing a private excursion to Normandy but I would be interested to see what DCL offers for it. We haven't looked through the excursions yet but hope to do so this weekend so we'll be ready when it's our turn to book. Good luck tonight!

We are printing all excursions and discussing tonight so that we can book. I guess we can book at midnight eastern time. I feel so overwhelmed! Lol

There is now a Normandy one on the excursions. I also have a private excursion booked for Normandy, and currently only have 4 for the 8 person van. Looking at what I saw on the Disney site today, it seems like the way of doing the private is still less than Disney's price.

ok, I'm going through the list of Dublin excursions. I would advise anyone who is interested in visiting any of the places listed to Google search and see if the Disney price is worth it. For example, on the excursion list is a walking tour and visit to Jameson Whiskey Distillery. The Disney price for this is $65 BUT the 50 minute guided tour only costs $17 which you can pay at the door or get online direct from the Jameson website.

The "Live the Day as a Dubliner" excursion (which by the way as a Dublin born person is pure stereotypical and totally NOT authentic real Dublin) again can be done on your own. The Disney price is an eye watering $235 and includes a guided bus tour and lunch at most likely The Arlington Hotel. The regular normal guided hop on hop off bus tours cost under $20, valid for 24 hours and the dinner and show at The Arlington Hotel costs under $40. Disney probably have negotiated a private special show and dinner but even still, its no way worth paying $235 for that package.

BadPinkTink,

You ought to just take the day off, meet us at the port, charge us, and give us a guided tour :)
