June 4, 2012--North to Alaska.

Thanks debc1212 for your helpful answers. I'm thinnking about doing the FE's. See, I'm learning the new DIS lingo!!! When you said that you gave each person a gift, was it a one time exchange during the entire cruise or did you give something each night? I just changed our rooms to 2583 and 2585 because the stateroom reports for our original rooms wasn't too great. Thanks again for al your help!

PS: Is it that big of a letdown that we don't have a window or verandah for our rooms? It was just a little too pricey for us. Thanks!

Even though there were under 20 staterooms participating in the FE on our cruise, and I only had one gift per person and stateroom, i did not deliver all the gifts on the same day. I think I did it on two different days to spread it out. I broke up the deliveries by deck number - and it only took me a few minutes to deliver to each deck. I also had a few pirate-themed items that I delivered on pirate night, which was later in the cruise.

We got a free upgrade on our cruise last time & got a larger room with verandah. We really loved it and have booked one again on this cruise. We spent more time in the room last time because of naps for the little one - so the verandah was nice for the person stuck in the room while he napped. Not sure that will be the case on the next cruise.

debc1212 - Yes! when I get more info from our friend who just went on this cruise I will let you know more. I am more excited about this cruise than any other we have been on.

Hope all our East Coast sailors are fine and recovering from the storm. We got off very lightly here in the DC area, lots of rain, lots of power outages, but otherwise, we dodged a bullet. Isabelle in 2003 was a lot worse for us.

Was wondering how to join up with a group to do the fish extenders. Everything's so new to our family. We're on the June 4th cruise to Alaska. Thanks!

Hi! Finaly we are booked!! So excitted! Me and Mom are at it again! This will be our second disney cruise, our first we toke the wonder up to aslaska earlier this year. So it's going to be nice to be back on the wonder again.
Not much seems to be going on yet..I'm already playing with ideas for the FE has soon as things get worked out, I want to be on the list this time.
On our last cruise, we got upgraded to a verandah..sure it was a solid white wall, but still it was a verandah. Dad said his Disney Divas got spoiled by it becuase we booked a clear verandah, room 6082! :cool1:
And with this cruise we are in Castaway Club! Yippie!!:cheer2:
This is my second cruise to aslaka, the first was a several years ago on (cough) princess (cough), and we sailed out of San Fransisco. Looking forward going back!
anyway too excited as you can tell!

:welcome: Herbie's Gal! Glad to have you aboard! This will be our first cruise to Alaska....our 9th Disney cruise. We are excited to be back on the Wonder in the same stateroom we had on our very first Disney cruise! We are totally spoiled too and have to have our verandah room. When I can't sleep, I love to go sit out and watch the ocean.

We have made the decision to book this cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary which is June 5. It will just be DH & I. This will be our first cruise. We are looking forward to spending time in Seattle. I was there in the early 80's and loved Pikes Place. I'm looking forward to taking my husband. Alaska has always intrigued me. I look forward to getting to know you all as the trip gets closer. We are now looking at the onshore excursions to see what we would like to do.

:welcome: Disney Yooper! What a great milestone to celebrate! Sulley and I will be celebrating 33 years in December. Working on a great plan for Dec 2013---that will be our 35th. We always cruise by ourselves. :goodvibes

Thanks for the welcome. We'll have to share excursion plans as we make them. The more DISers we can meet up, the more fun the trip will be. I'm as excited about seeing Pike Market and Seattle as I am going on the cruise.

Just booked this cruise on the Dream Halloween cruise. We are so excited. Bringing along enough people for 4 rooms total. Me and DH in one room, DD and her BF in another, two other rooms have long time friends and their DH's. This is our sixth cruise so we are officially Gold Castaway Cay members I think. All of them except the last has been on the Wonder :goodvibes
Now to start to sort out the excursion options....

Hope to get to meet you all while we wait!

BTW, this will be our way to celebrate our 32nd Anniversary, which will be June 15th :woohoo:

I think we might be right across the hall from you we're all in 6043, 6047, 6049, and 6053? I think anyway :confused3

Hi all, just thought I'd stop in to say hi! We are still planning on being on this cruise and can't wait! We're trying to figure out if we want to head up to Seattle for a week before the cruise or not. There's so much fun stuff to do and my kids have never been, so we'll probably go for a few days at least.

Now I'm just hoping Disney announces kids sail free for our week! We're in cabin 5020 right now, which we love because of the "secret porthole", but I'm kind of thinking a verandah might be nice to take advantage of the scenery, so the kids sail free deal would help with the upgrade. We'll see what happens! :confused3

:welcome: IleneF and congrats on your upcoming 32nd anniversary! Sailing on a Disney Cruise is an AWESOME way to celebrate! Our first cruise was for our 25th and on the Wonder, and we've been hooked ever since! :lovestruc This will be #9 for us, and we will be in the same stateroom we were in on that first cruise! :goodvibes

Pike Market intrigues me as well....

Anyone know what time we come back into Seattle? I'm trying to book flights. Also what excursions are you considering?

Pike Market intrigues me as well....

Been to Seattle numerous times as we have family there. Pike Place Market is fun, if you have time I highly recommend the Taste Tour..fabulous! There are lots of nice things to see/do in the Seattle area.
