June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

Hmmmm......ya know, I've read so many things on this. Some people order room service and bring cookies or other things in....but then I've heard that they serve a few things near the theater. I'm not certain if you have to pay for those or not though.... All I know is I love to watch a movie with my soda and popcorn DRENCHED in BUTTER Everything's better with BUTTER!!!

unfortunately, the popcorn is not movie popcorn! It's prepackaged. boo. They write down your stateroom number and charge the snacks to it.

Prepackaged popcorn?? OMG I'd rather eat styrofoam!! Well that's a drag...But they do let you bring whatever else you want in? Or just snack type stuff?

I bring in my own snacks. I bring them on board. My husband cannot have sugar so it is easier to bring in my own snacks. You can also go up to deck 9 and get drinks and bring them into the theater.

Is the smoke heavy in your areas? It's pretty bad here in Mariin County. So many fires in so many areas - and its only June.

I'm getting ready to drive over to S.F. -pick up my older DGkids and go shopping. Mostly to buy things for Jack - I still don't have a formal - I might just wear my long skirt and top - what's most important to me is that Jack has a "Magical" time.

Is anyone bringing Pesos??

Yes...the smoke is pretty bad here. The skies in the a.m. are pink from the smoke. Anyway, that dream is hilarious!! Can you imagine if someone really did that? YOU'RE FIRED!! ::cop: I get to go today and have the works done. I actually hate having to just sit there while she's doing my hair....it's like, there's so many other things I could be doing in that amount of time! But, I love the end result so I shouldn't complain...she's really good Anyway, have a wonderful day shopping with your grandkids!!

Don't forget to call your credit card company/s - at least the ones you may use in Mexico!

Also, take several copies of your passport/s to carry with you ashore. Before you go ashore write down the port agent's address and phone number on the copy just in case you don't make it back before the Magic dissappears (God forbid). The agent will help you get back aboard or back home.

Hi Funnygirl!! Welcome to the thread!! Ok, to answer your question....Yes and No. I mean there's nothing real organized as far as a 'Dis Meet'. We took a vote, and most couldn't really pin down an exact time, or spouses weren't real 'meet and greet' type people...which is understandable Not a big deal But, a couple of us were thinking of just meeting up on Deck 10 after the Sail Away Party (or is it called Adventures Away now...whatever )...Sophia has her picture posted so you'll know who to look for...if you're nice to her she may just do the Robot for you Ok...that's a long story... ::cop: I on the other hand, will be the one smackin' her with red vines selling popcorn out of my 'special backpack'. Anyway, hopefully that answers your question We'll be chatting away here for another couple of days, so feel free to join in!

Fine....I will just talk to myself Anyways, Wendi made me a FAB lunch. We sat by the pool, and had a great time. I gave her a print out of my cruise schedule, and a printout of the ship . My eyebrows look amazing. You will know me by my eyebrows Everything is done, and the next two days is packing, and laundry . I also have to get the boys stuff ready for my moms. I will just throw some stuff in a bag (MOM!!!! WHY DO I ONLY HAVE ONE PAIR OF JEANS? ) Sorry boys....its all about me Wendi and I were trying to figure out the last time Rick and I went away....I cannot remember!!! I am sooooo excited
