Done with the end of the quarter stress at work and now on to cruise-mode

Managed to find some magnetic paper at Walmarts today and I have 3 doors signs printed so far. I've never used Avery magnetic paper before though and while it sticks to my fridge no problem I am worried it isn't strong enough for the DCL doors

Anyone use magnetic paper for their door signs? What kind did you use

Doing laundry and getting out packing folders and packing cubes

I've got books to read by the pool, I'm so ready for this vacation

I use magnetic paper from staples and it has worked beautifully. You should be fine with avery as well. I tried the print and laminate method once but it was waaaaaaaay too much work and didn't look as good either. Tomorrow is magnet printing night at our house. Three more days of work til we leave!

I do have to say driving down to Florida makes packing easier. I'm not as worried about keeping bags down to a minimum.

Last Day of school for the kids. Three days left for me. My husband has to go on to Albany for work the next two days and I have not yet put oneitem in a suitcase. BUT, we will get everything ready....I just keep chanting that!

Can't wait to get to Florida on Saturday and begin 10 days of relaxation!

Unfortunately for us, two days in a car with children who do not get along is just not worth saving money xD

This made me laugh because growing up my brother and I did not get along at all. He was always very resentful that I was older than he was.

My kids on the other hand get along okay for the most part. When they do argue I have to re-assure my DH that this is normal because he didn't grow up fighting with his siblings.

I became very good friends with my brother when we both went away to the same college. So things do change sometimes

My SIL and niece have arrived! Have all the clothes together...just need to get them in a suitcase along with my FE stuff....can't wait for work to be over and to get on this trip!!

Well, we are leaving for Hartford Connecticut in a bit, spending the night and flying out at 7:30AM! We arrive in Orlando at 2:30PM! We are so excited!!!!

So I don't know when I will be able to post again but just in case..............................................

Thank you both - I was trying the laminate way and it was so not working - so I headed to Walmart and things went better.

haha - this was my family growing up - 3 girls - and we drove across the country from VA to CA in our family van. We must have drove out parents crazy

I keep thinking I am done with laundry and then dh brings me has baseball caps..then his shoes...he hates doing things ahead of time. But we have to leave for our flight Sat at 4 am and he had to work all day Friday so I told him it all needs to be done tomorrow. We'll see

You wanted the weather? HOT. We are in the midst of a heat wave right now, with heat indexes up as high as 105/106 (in reality its been 97ish). The humidity is what kills you though. Luckily its supposed to break by the end of the week, so you will have low 90s instead!

Anywho, my family arrives tomorrow, I'm so excited!! I'm officially on vacation!! See you all on the cruise!!

We know all about hot..we are leaving from New Orleans Friday morning and it has been extremely hot here lately. (although it is always hot) it just seems way hotter than usual. We did actually get some rain the past few days I just hope we don't have to drive in rain. Can't wait until Sunday.

Ugh....took off the day from my new job yesterday (first week on the job) to go to the Passport Office in Miami to get my passport. I made a 12:30 appointment and wasn't seen until 2:20 (typical govt. efficiency). At the end of my appointment they gave me a piece of paper to pick up my passport, TODAY at 2pm So I called my boss and told him and THANKFULLY he understood, so I'm going BACK to Miami today to actually get my passport.
