June 26, 2011 5 Nights on the Disney Dream!!!!

Well it looks like everyone is ok with standing in line - so we are too

We are flying in to MCO on Sat am -9:30 I think - and renting a car and driving out. DH wants to try to see the space center - I would rather go hang at the pool at the Radisson. We'll see.

Can't believe how close we are getting.

It's snowing again over here, school was cancelled due to ice on the roads! But we just had 10 days of vacation!! >.<

I am sooooo ready to get out of here and on this vacation!!

I can't believe we had another snowday. I woke at at 5am and did my regular routine of showering,getting ready to go to work at the school, waking up the kids. etc. (I am also a full time School year Secretary at my sons elementary school besides being a home based TA.) So we had our Winter vacation had 10 days off. Yesterday it rained and melted a lot of the snow we had already received well the rain turned to freezing rain and surprise they cancelled school.
But I did not get my staff phone call I am supposed to get by 5:30am.
I turned on the TV a saw it on the news station. I called my boss and yes school was cancelled one xtra day of vacation but that means one more snowday to make up in June.
So our school district does not build in snowdays into the school calendar we have had 4 snowdays now the kids have to make up 4 more days and my school secretary job is work one week after the kids get out of school. Guess when that is! During our cruise.
Good thing I have vacation time and have to use all my days left to take time off for this cruise that I booked well after School usually gets out.
Oh well It is a good thing my boss already knew about my cruise and is fine with me missing that time. But what a pain. Good thing I had vacation days owed to me or else this would have been a big mess.

I am so sick of the SNOW!!!!!!!!!
I want JUNE to be here now!!!
I'm dreaming of white sand beaches on Castaway Cay ok I feel better now!

Hey everyone! We are so excited to be going on the June 26th cruise! We live in Fredericksburg, VA. My DH, myself, and our DS (11) will be flying the 26th and 1st and then taking advantage of the Disney shuttle service. We were planning on driving and even had a room at the Radisson BUT decided that we would fly instead. We are first timers for a cruise and we went to DW for the first time, last summer. We are also celebrating my birthday during our family vacation! We are in Cat4B, Deck8 and would love to meet more people that will be on the cruise, especially anyone with kids around 11 years old.

I have lived in the MD/VA area for about 9 years now and my DH has been in the PA/MD/VA area forever. I LOVE Fredericksburg, especially after coming from FL, OK, and TX!

Congratulations! That would be wonderful to celebrate such an important milestone on the Dream! I am technically past my 20s but I stopped counting at "25"! LOL I am a full time student now, surrounded by 18 to early 20s, and it is so funny that I think of them as KIDS. I laugh every time I catch myself saying it but they all call me "momma" because I'm the one always prepared for anything and have the answers! Gotta love it though!

We're from Fairfax VA. My kids are older though. DS17 and DD13.5
We are driving down on the 24th and staying at WDW (no parks, just relaxing at the pool after the drive).

My ds will be just 2 weeks shy of turning 8 on this cruise and my dd will be 11. It seems like there are alot of boys around age 11...any other girls? My dd would enjoy making some new friends to hang out with.

The only time we were GTY was on our 2008 cruise and we found out about one month out from our cruise date. I would imagine it could be any time between now and a few weeks out

So, I just recieved a package with Chinese writing all over it....and then I opened it and IT WAS THE LANYARDS!!!!!!

THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I am so excited to have them!

So as you can see, the pocket is the perfect place to store (and also hide) your KTTW. The fabric is really soft and not scratchy at all. The safety clip in the back is not easily taken apart, but it does come apart if pulled by a random object. They are big enough around to go over anyone's head really easily.

Just so you know, if you are male your name will be blue and if you are female your name will be pink. My name on my tag is light blue because that's my favourite colour, I hate pink, and the tag designs are on my computer...

Hi All I just finished putting all the Lanyards together and sorting by families. They look absolutely fabulous!!! This is so exciting! Remember that we will all meet on embarktion day at the Vista Cafe on deck 4 at 3pm to pass out all these beautiful lanyards. If you can't make it at that time no worries I will deliver to staterooms that evening! Thanks again to the FE families who chipped in.
