June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Checking back in as well. Now that this years vacation is over I need something to keep me going until it is time for this one. Thanks Stacey for posting those. I really want to see some Mayan ruins somewhere. Like Mike said our port times are so short that we very well may have to go through DCL.

Ditto, just checking in - still have one quick MR Wonder to do in Oct, then full steam ahead on this one.

I'll be (finally!) on the Dream in 5 weeks....then this one is next!! :thumbsup2

The only port we haven't been to, oddly enough, is Grand Cayman. I need the Captain's advice on the best snorkeling there.pirate:

Ivan and David are pretty famous.... they do the Chacchoben tour...four hours. ALWAYS good reviews.

The ship may actually still do both of these tours to the ruins. Kohunlich is about an hour and a half from port, and Chacchoben is an hour. They just would have to shorten the time spent at the ruins.

Has anyone seen any postings on getting from the Airport to the Cruise Ship. In the past we took the Disney Bus. I was just wondering if anyone has seen some good deals on a Limo or any groups wanting to get together to take a limo. The bus will be 140 round trip for the two of us but if I can get a good deal or someone to go in on a limo I might splurge.

We've used FLTours (www.fltours.com) quite a few times in the past....from the airport to the port. They'll also go from the park hotels to the port.
I've not ever had any problems with them at all.
The current cost of a Lincoln Town Car, round trip from the airport to the port is $200. It's higher now than it used to be, but it was always worth it to us to pay a little more and not sit on a crowded bus waiting for it to fill up.
And they'll make a grocery stop, if you want to pick up snacks, sodas, bottled water, or whatever, to take onboard.

Happy Limo (www.happylimo.com) is $220.00 round trip.

I like the bio on Ivan and David. It sounds like we'd get great info from local experts. We'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks again

You should see how much people on Cruise Critic like these guys. It's like they're gods or something.:worship:

Any where along 7mile beach would suffice , but if you want good good snorkeling you need to head out to Sunset House ...Its a divers area but great snorkeling around there

Isn't Sunset House a dive resort? Maybe not, but I thought I saw it in Caribbean Travel & Life. Would I be able to just go there....or call ahead, or what?
What are you going to do in GC?

I'd be willing to contact them and check it out. If someone hasn't already done it. What date are we in GC?

I would love to do Jolly Pirates again! Loved it in Aruba - some of my most vivid memories of the PC are from that port:rotfl2:

We're in GC on 6/25
