June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Fellow Disboarders - I need your help! Today.

Our school (the Indigo Program) is trying to win $250 which would go a long way and could contribute to our art, music, PE programs or towards a scholarship for a family in need. If you are on facebook and wouldn't mind voting on the following page for the Indigo Program, we would appreciate it!

The competition ends today.

Thank you!

-Kay (and her 2 children who love this alternative school program!)

Done!

Wishing that everyone in Irene's path stays safe! We are right in her path in CT and are hoping she weakens a bit! We are used to blizzards, but not hurricanes. The last hurricane to hit here was back in 1991 and they are saying Irene is bigger & stronger!

We're also in Irene's path...don't usually get hurricanes/tropical storms this far north/inland (we're in the Hudson Valley but have mountains all around us that usually break these storms up).

Yes....please stay safe!! Thanks to the DIS, we all have a lot of friends spread around the country....to all on the east coast....be careful out there!

Thanks Stace!

Also sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone in Irene's path - stay safe!

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.

Good luck to you and stay safe. I am just northeast of you in northern Delaware. Still dry here but that will be changing real soon. :scared1:

Sending Pixie dust to those that are in the path of Irene. :wizard::wizard:

Thank you to those of you that voted for our school in the facebook competition. We won! Thank you all! :cheer2: You rock!

Checking in.
Hope all in Irene's path are safe and all belongs safe too.
According to the handy-dandy countdown clock I have on my phone, we are at 301 days. :cool1:
I am also happy that every new thing that gets added to our calendar- band camps, family reunion etc- still have not touched this cruise. So far, timing is still perfect.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I echo everyone's sentiments, I pray everyone stays safe.

I'll stick to my CA earthquakes, thank you very much. A few seconds of rocking and rolling and we're done. No anticiaption of it coming, no rush for supplies, no constantly watching the weather maps, no hours of howling winds and pouring rains....

We survived "Irene." We lost power for 2 hours, and that's about it. We were very lucky. However the area around us has a lot of trees down. About 40% of the schools in my area do not have power, and the busses would have a tought time getting through the secondary streets to pick up the children. So my DD gets another day of summer vacation. She might get a few more too. It is beautiful outside today though.

My first earthquake and a hurricane just a few days apart. Too much. Time for a break.

Hey Howdy, Hey!

Work has been super busy, but we're 100% sure we're going. We're in a Cat 10 somewhere on Deck 9...

Guess I need to start following the thread. :rotfl:

Soooo Looking forward to cruising with the Pirates again.

Hello all! Hope that everyone survived the earthquake and hurricane in one piece. We are on the way home from our trip to visit Tigger and Mickey Mouse. I am typing on my tiny little Droid screen. We got to Disney World on the 20th for a surprise trip for our daughter. We made it all the way to Jacksonville before she figured it out. It was awesome. We missed the earthquake and the hurricane. We added another day to our trip to let the storm blow through home. Poor us! :) anyway, great trip and now we can't wait for the cruise!
