June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Permission to board, Captain!

We're booked. Myself, DH & DD (16 at cruise time)

Had to cancel our 6/26/11 Dream (sorry, Laurie) to make it happen but so worth it to be cruising with you all again. Looking forward to cruising with old & new friends!

Aye , come aboard mate

pirate:

Still haven't gotten the confirmation from my TA, but I checked Disney's website and my reservation has been switched to this cruise, Cat 9A GTY.

We very seldom do excursions - we do get off sometimes just to walk - but the ship itself is our excursion. It's easier to get a chair by the pool on port days. Of course I'll have to make a Kaluha run, the girls were big into coffee/chocolate martinis when they visited this summer.

The kids bought me 2 bottles in 2004. I think they paid $8.00 each.My fav with icecream

Stupid question. Where is this going to and how long? I am assuming a 7 nighter?Really have to think this one out. I would love to hook up with all of you butI really don't want to sail alone. It sucks having to pay for 2.

I understand Arlene. Where there is a will there is a way.

Anyone up for a pirate: run only 645 post to go. :cool1:

Ready but I never get it.:rolleyes1

Hi Everyone! You don't know me. I have been lurking on your thread. Me and my DH are going on the Dream in March. I was planning on booking this trip when we got on board. You all sound like such a fun group. I do have a few reservations though. First, is there going to be any rooms left or will you have taken all of them:rotfl2:. Second, how is the Western Carribean. Is it worth the money? I will say sorry ahead of time. If Disney goes to Alaska in 2012 then I will have to sail on that one. Hope to meet all of you some time.

Welcome Aboard !

Sheez. I sure hope I don't have to keep up in 3 places!

A Zip Line in Costa Maya?!! DS13 (will be 15) was just asking about one and I told him no in favor of diving ( which he's cool with). But we won't be diving in Costa Maya...

Course I was kinda hoping for a Pirate Ship there. We missed that last one, you guessed it, diving! :rotfl2:

We missed last one also...............was to chicken ( still am ) but Chuck and I really want to try this.

The gate thing seems to suck IMHO. How does 'family' get to visit? Hmm....

Hopefully if enough people complain, they won't even put it on the Fantasy. Your cruise is fast approaching...............can't wait to see all the pictures and hear all about it.:thumbsup2

Would everyone please check the list in the 4th post and make sure your info is there. If not please let me know.

I don't even know what ports we are going to. We are planning on staying on the ship and exploring. Hopefully use the Aquaduck without long lines.

I'm M. DH is Steve (although I think some call him Speedo) :rotfl2: At the time of sailing DS Andrew will be 13, DS Nathan will be 12.

By my counts we already have over 150 people! FE will take a whole suitcase!!!

Zipline?
I went on the zipline excursion in PV as an observer while my DH and kids when ziplining. Chris, Pamela and I hung out at the restaurant with big fruity drinks and chips and had alot of fun anyway. So if they have an observer option (with drinks) that is the way I am going:woohoo:

My DH and I spent a week there when I was pregnant with Megan. The only part I really loved was the crystal clear water and Stingray City. That was so incredibly cool. We are definitely doing that.
Based on how far away it is from the ship and the short time in the port, we might- gasp- do a DCL excursion.

That was incredibly fun. I would do that again in a heartbeat.
I hate to say it but without my parents slowing us down we might actually make it into the overpriced DVD this time. They were major troopers for getting through that hike. It was a beating, especially with all that gear.

But, hey, at least that suitcase will fit under the bed now. Lol!
They absolutely took up one very large suitcase last time but we just used it for souvenirs on the way back.

I'll be sailing with my two boys. Nick will be 15 on the cruise & Alex will be 12.
We may drag my brother along
