June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

couldn't you have just had a group hug:grouphug:
Dang, I wish we had!!!
Snowed all night.... still snowing.... half my pool was frozen over (thick- like I could have ice skated on it/couldn't break thru it) even before it started snowing- now the entire pool is frozen over AND covered in snow. This is the first time the pool ever froze over the top!!

I'm a homebody by nature... but I don't like being FORCED to be that way. I start getting stir crazy! I think it's just catching up to me because the first few weeks of this year between being sick/having a DD who could drive and do errands for me and all that- I didn't go anywhere. Now with this ice (and now snow too) nonsense- I can count on one hand how many times I've left my property THIS WHOLE YEAR! (haha yes I realize it's only been a month. But still. Can you say the same? LOL)

And my iphone weather app is saying more snow all day- and then warming up 40's a few days (probably wrong. It keeps saying warmer than it actually ends up being every day) and then snow again next Wednesday! Listen here... this has to stop. They better take this ice and snow with them after superbowl. for reals.
:sad2:
My gosh...

Dropping in and glancing over the postings and and names of those present brings back warm memories of all the nonsense of our last sailing... vaguely...

I'm still slightly wounded with my slight cough - sore throat - and aches ... from I don't know what. But my fever and head tension are gone.

Otherwise I'm in a funky somber mood - which is not typical for me I imagine.

I was thinking about tossing up a 7 question thing for tomorrow. Anyone wanna voice that I should or perhaps hold off til later? I figure it would be nicer for me to ask the community before I just jump in and "be me" for a change. IDK ... just memo me and I shall respect any nay sayers with respect. Or I will take any encouragement with a wink and chuckles.

My spouse hurt her back in a slip and fall at home - and we're gonna see an orthepedic surgeon to try and diagnose it tomorrow morning...
She was in frightful pain for a long while and I'm concerned ... needless to say...

I made some turkey joes for lunch today - an' I hosted a dinner play-date for my older daughter with her girlfriend at Bucca....

...smiles all around... eh?

I hope you are feeling better soon! And hope she didn't injure herself severely! :(

Just dropping in for an update. Spoke to John and Cheryl is out of surgery. He posted this on Facebook:
cheryl is out of surgery talked with dr. everything went great. no tear in the rotater lots of inflammation, huge bone spur and a lot of arthritis. doctor cleaned it all out scrapped drained and whatever else that he needed to do. this is all good news. less time having her arm immobile faster and shorter time in pt. she'll be back poodle flinging in no time. thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.

So watch out for flying poodles. Crash you need to insert a picture here.

Thanks Arlene - here's hoping our Chief Poodle Flinger makes a speedy recovery.

I just went back and did some ketchup. I see that while I was stuck in Nassau, Crash made off with the pirate: Congrats Tom.

Ahoy!!
Todd has been really busy - so I'm posting for him.

Mini-Meet at Disneyland March 10th thru March 12th (although the Captain has to leave 9ish on the 12th)

Hope to see y'all there!!!
Ooooo so jealous!!!
Wish we could go.

Boy,does this sound familiar! I live with a procrastinator too!
It gets really bad when we both procrastinate at the same time:guilty:
Nothing gets done then.
Thankfully we alternate:upsidedow

Ouch:headache:hope your wife feels better soon. My Dad is having back surgery on Monday for spinal stenosis, but my Mom's slipped disc managed to heal on its own after several shots.

I really miss your pics and humor when you are gone so I hope you feel better soon too:hug:

I'd say hold off on the 7 questions for a while. But if others want to jump right in, I'll play too.
I love the 7 questions as a great icebreaker, but if holding off means getting more folks involved then I'm good with that:thumbsup2

Bip I worked from home so during bad weather I am not out much either-though you have me beat on the number of outings as I have to walk my dog each day.

Does he have a flying poodle picture:confused3

Glad to hear that Cheryl's surgery went well:yay::dance3:

Thank you for all the warm welcomes!

I know it is a while away yet, but does anyone have recommendations of excursions to do (or ones to avoid) for these ports?

The highlight for our kids on the PC cruise this Jan was Ziplining in Puerto Vallerta (yes, even my currently 6 yo DD loved it! The 700ft high Dos Cahones didn't scare her one bit).

Kay there should be ziplining on this one too. I know Esteri and family are scuba diving. A bit frustrating that the port times are so short. The DCL excursions are usually crowded and a bit overpriced so I know some folks are planning to just stay on the ship and aquaduck all day long.

I'd like to see some of the ruins, but nothing is set yet.

Hello Dis friends! I had so much fun on the Maiden Voyage of the Dream, I booked this cruise while on board. I look forward to knowing each of you. :flower3:

LOL
I have kids to do that!
Although Tramp isn't really fond of ice (or snow or when it's wet LOL He's a Mr. Prissy LOL) anyway... so walks are shortlived if we can even get him to start. He'd rather just run out, do his business and run back in the house. HAHA

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only
tharg-7-50-trans.gif
tharg-2-50-trans.gif

weeks to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm lucky if I can get the ST to walk the dog once a day:headache:
Ours is named Kayla and she seems to not mind the bad weather-we think part Australian Cattle Dog and part Australian Shepherd:confused3

She loves getting wiped down after being out in the rain:rolleyes:

Alright Buckifan and Her Man, we have about 22 hours left until game time when my Gophers have a pre-super bowl feast on your #1 Buckeyes. Don't let that really bad performance against a really bad Indiana team (playing without two of the best players) fool you, we meant to do that to build your confidence. Will the Buckeyes escape the gopher hole still undefeated, or will the Gophers get some home cooking from the refs? Big day tomorrow! :happytv:
